Production of the basic model of the onboard Gazelle started in 1994, while production of the GAZ 33023 Farmer began a year later. The new model received a number of differences, the main ones being a more voluminous cabin with two rows of seats and a shortened cargo body with a flatbed. The cabin of the standard Gazelle was designed for three people (driver and two passengers), while the Fermere could accommodate six people.
Similar to any other versions of the Gazelle car, GAZ 33023 was produced in various modifications, including Gazelle 330232. The first generation was produced in 1995–2003, the second generation was produced in 2003–2010. Since 2010, the production of the Gazelle Farmer Business car has been carried out, which continues to this day. Since 2013, serial production of the IV generation commercial vehicle GAZ - Gazelle Next, which is a modification of the Farmer with a larger cabin, has also been launched.
Technical specifications
Visually, the GAZ 33023 Farmer car is based on the familiar appearance of an ordinary Gazelle. Even the restyling of standard and “farm” cars was carried out in parallel. At the same time, the appearance of the car was significantly improved: the radiator grille was updated, the bumper was straightened, the rear-view mirrors were enlarged and halogen drop-shaped optics were installed. The all-metal cabin of the GAZ 33023 Farmer car is distinguished by aerodynamic contours and increased length, although the number of doors for passengers remains unchanged - there are only two.
The “farm” version of the Gazelle uses a cabin with six seats in two rows: two seats in front and four in the back. At the same time, the amount of free space in both the front and rear rows of seats is quite limited. Seating in the second row is also not very comfortable: it requires folding the front passenger seat.
The length of the GAZ 330232 cargo-passenger vehicle could be 547 or 630 cm with a cargo platform dimensions of 2306x1943x380 or 3090x1943x(380-400) mm, respectively. The platform in both variations had three folding sides made of metal. The wheelbase of the GAZ 330232 244 was 290 cm with a standard vehicle length and 350 cm with an extended platform.
Other dimensions of the Gazelle Farmer car:

History of development
In 2002, that is, about a year before the first restyling, the series was replenished with the GAZ 330232 model with a long wheelbase. Accordingly, the second generation was represented by a much larger number of modifications, differing in a variety of criteria, such as the GAZ electrical circuit.
With a standard chassis, the gap between the wheel axles was 290 cm, and in the case of a long frame, this distance increased by 60 cm. The body length on a standard chassis was 230 cm, in the case of an extended Farmer - from 3 to 4 meters. Since 2003, there has been a gradual change in the model range of engines used. Carburetor internal combustion engines ZMZ 402 and 406, UMZ 4215 gradually went out of use and were replaced by newer and more advanced engines that offered improved performance, reduced fuel consumption per 100 km, etc.
In 2010, the GAZ 33023 Business model was released, introducing serious modifications to the Gazelle Farmer line. Visually, the car was practically no different from the previous version, but over twenty units and components, including the electrical circuit, were subjected to serious improvements. In terms of appearance, the Business model is distinguished by a front bumper combined into one design with a radiator grille. In addition, the update affected the car's paint colors: they became attractive.
In 2013, a new, fourth generation was released: Gazelle Farmer Next. This modification, unlike the three previous ones, cannot be called simply restyling. In fact, this is a car of a new brand, little similar to previous models.

Six-seater cabin The six-seater Gazelle has 2 seats in the front, 4 in the back. Passengers enter the back row by moving the front seat to the side.
