The Soviet-era Kirovets K-700 tractor was used for plowing, loosening a wide variety of soil, sowing, etc. By the end of the 60s, it began to be used in road and transport construction, earthmoving, and reclamation work. Kirovets was produced at the Kirov machine-building plant in Leningrad for more than 10 years. K-700A and K-701 are improved Kirovets models, fundamentally different from their prototype, which began to appear only in the early 70s.

Overkill "Kirovets" K700 - ilipin

Last time I promised to show the overturned Kirovets.

K-700 We fly, which means we look at the mortal world from above. There is beauty all around, Indian summer at its very beginning - warm, sunny and no mosquitoes or flies, although we are clearly standing on a field for grazing. Nearby, villagers are working, filling a silage pit, and compacting hay with two tractors. In short, everyone is busy.

I look out of the corner of my eye, and time is compressing, clearly for a reason - it’s going to bang! And sure enough, from afar, like a toy yellow “Kirovets”, having climbed to the top of the silage mountain, falls into the soft grassy slope with its left wheels and slowly falls over its side, showing its black belly scrubbed with grass, swings back on what used to be the cabin, and stops in a pose with its paws up and its wheels up.

..la! Having already run up, I ask the men - is everyone alive? Thank God, everything worked out - the driver either ducked down or jumped out of the window at the last second. He's just a little lame. And looking from the outside, it should have smeared all over the insides...

A slight overturn leaves no chance for the driver

The cabin of the K-700 is decorative, designed exclusively for protection from the rain. The fact that the center of mass of the tractor is clearly not in the area of the floor probably cost more than one driver his life. The cabin of this one was even crushed into rubbish by the mass of equipment on the soft grass; it is completely incomprehensible how the person sitting inside remained alive. The manufacturers obviously did not personally test the equipment. Otherwise, they would have added a couple of safety bars and it would have been possible to drive without fear.

I see, since everything is fine, you can run not for the first aid kit (why didn’t you take it right away??), but for your camera. When else will you see Kirovets in such a pose? Well, we made a couple of flights over it, just like without it.

Literally half an hour later, the villagers put the Kirovets on wheels with another tractor and began towing it, it must be assumed that it was being repaired. It’s a shame, of course, that the equipment was broken almost out of the blue, but the good news is that the driver was not injured. Miracles happen, damn it.

The damaged equipment was taken for repairs.
