KamAZ-53605. Dimensions and load capacity. Specifications. Video reviews

KamAZ-53605 is a two-axle truck with a 4x2 wheel arrangement. For consumers, this model is available in two main versions, namely a dump truck and a universal chassis.

With its relatively compact overall dimensions, KamAZ-53605 has a fairly high load capacity of 13,000 kilograms.

Other distinguishing features of the model are reduced fuel consumption and reduced weight. The 4x2 wheel arrangement and short wheelbase made it easy and maneuverable to drive, making the car especially convenient for use in confined spaces, which also includes city streets.

The main purpose is to transport any cargo. The car is in greatest demand in public utilities and construction. To expand the scope of application, the Kama Automobile Plant produces a version of the universal chassis, on which a wide variety of superstructures can be installed, including truck cranes, cranes, dumping equipment, drilling rigs, as well as many types of vans.

Story

By the 2000s, there was an urgent need in the country for new equipment designed to work in various departments of housing and communal services, which include city repair, utility services, as well as repair and construction. For a long time, this niche was occupied by cars from the Likhachevsky plant, but later the ZiLs became outdated and, by the standards of that time, had high fuel consumption and high toxicity of exhaust gases. A more modern alternative then became the cars of the Minsk Automobile Plant, which also had relatively small overall dimensions and a biaxial chassis with a 4x2 wheel arrangement.

In connection with this situation, specialists from the Kama Automobile Plant decided to develop their own truck that meets all the requirements. It was also planned that the new model would become the flagship in this segment, posing serious competition to MAZs.

The great popularity of two-axle single-axle trucks is primarily due to the fact that such vehicles have excellent maneuverability, which is practically the most important criterion for urban operating conditions. Cars with a three-axle or two-axle all-wheel drive chassis are significantly inferior to them in this parameter. It should also be noted that compared to other models, single-bridge versions have much increased efficiency.

In 2003, the first production cars rolled off the assembly line of the Kama Automobile Plant, ready for full-time work. The plant first introduced a version of the universal chassis, which allowed it to cover as many areas as possible. The chassis was equipped with a variety of utility and road superstructures, including garbage trucks, truck cranes, vacuum trucks, asphalt distributors, tank trucks and many others. A little later, dump trucks entered mass production. They differed from the universal chassis only in the type of body installed and the hydraulic lifting mechanism, otherwise they were the same versions.

The KamAZ-53605 model did not become very popular right away. At first, there was very little demand for this truck, and most consumers preferred the already well-known MAZ-5551, which had under the hood a YaMZ-236M2 diesel power unit (with a power of 180 horsepower) or a YaMZ-236NE2 (with a power of 230 horsepower) ). In addition, the Minsk car had a lower cost, which also affected its popularity. However, KamAZ-53605 was eventually able to achieve a leading position.

In 2012, the Kama Automobile Plant carried out a large-scale restyling that affected all produced trucks, including KamAZ-53605. The main update was the cabin, which was developed on the basis of the first generation German Mercedes-Benz Axor. In general, the cabin style was retained, but more flowing shapes and streamlined elements appeared, making it more modern. For this truck, two cab variations were offered, with either a low or high roof. But regardless of this, there was no sleeping space inside. The cab structure is now mounted on air suspension, which further smoothes out road irregularities. The interior has also been improved, which has contributed to increased operating comfort.

The next improvement was the power unit. Previously, all modifications of the truck were equipped with engines of our own production, namely the 740 series. After restyling, due to fairly high fuel consumption, they decided to abandon them and chose as a replacement an imported six-cylinder diesel engine of the Cummins 6ISBe 285 brand, developing a maximum output power of 280 horsepower. However, this option was later replaced. Modern versions currently produced use a Cummins ISB6.7E5 300 brand unit, which, with a similar design, has a maximum power of 300 horsepower.

Indicators taken into account when calculating fuel consumption of Kamaz Flatbed cargo

Basic, transport and operational fuel consumption standards mean the establishment of a certain value for the measure of fuel consumption for each individual brand, model and modification of freight vehicles. The standard fuel consumption l for special vehicles that perform the main work during movement is determined as follows: Qн 0.01 Hsс S Hs S 1 0.01 D, where Hsс is the individual fuel consumption rate for the mileage of a special vehicle, l 100 km; S mileage of a special vehicle to the place of work and back, km; Hs fuel consumption rate for mileage when performing special work while moving, l 100 km; S vehicle mileage when performing special work while moving, km; D total relative increase or reduction to the norm; when operating equipment, only allowances for work in winter and in mountainous areas are applied.

Modifications

KamAZ-53605 is produced in two main modifications, namely a dump truck and a universal chassis. It is worth noting that these modifications have several variations: KamAZ-53605-1010, KamAZ-53605-1011, KamAZ-53605-1950-15, KamAZ-53605-1957-15, KamAZ-53605-1952-15, as well as KamAZ -53605-1956-15.

All presented versions are distinguished by a high-pressure fuel pump made by Bosch or DZK, a direct fuel injection system, and maximum engine power.

Analogs

The Kama Automobile Enterprise produces several similar models along with the KamAZ 53605. These are the two-axle 4x2 KamAZ 5325, the three-axle 53212.

Unlike foreign analogues, the dump truck chassis is better suited for operation on Russian roads. The machine is capable of solving a wide range of technological problems and performing operations in conditions of: poor cross-country highways, off-road conditions, severe frost, and hot climates. A modernly equipped cabin will provide comfortable working conditions for the crew.

Cabin

Models of the first years of production were equipped with classic KamAZ cabs with a cabover layout. KamAZ-53605 differed from its predecessors only in the lower part of the cab, where a more streamlined bumper, new running boards, massive wheel arches, as well as other side fairings and new lighting equipment integrated into the bumper were installed.

The head optics are represented by two block headlights, which combine headlights, daytime running lights and direction indicators. Fog lights are installed below the headlights. In the central part of the bumper there is a wide slot that acts as a step for self-cleaning the windshield.

While most predecessors have a windshield consisting of two parts, in this model the designers used a one-piece one, which had a positive effect on visibility from the driver’s workplace.

For consumers, the Kama Automobile Plant offered two cab options, namely with a low or high roof. There is no sleeping place in both versions, since the car is aimed at working within the city.

In 2012, as a result of restyling, KamAZ-53605 received an updated cabin, developed on the basis of the first generation German Mercedes-Benz Axor model. As a result, the cabin has a more modern appearance. A modified front bumper made of high-strength plastic, a new front grille with integrated fairings, and improved head optics, represented by the same headlights, began to be installed. Otherwise, the old KamAZ style has been preserved, this is especially noticeable in profile. In order to reduce the number of blind spots, the cabin was equipped with additional mirrors (spherical, curb and sliding).

The cabin is additionally equipped with a four-point air suspension, which not only smoothes out road irregularities when driving, but also ensures high stability of the truck when cornering.

Many changes have been made to the interior. Here, higher quality materials were used, which improved both the appearance of the interior and the sound insulation. The driver has a comfortable seat with air suspension and many different adjustments. The steering column is also adjustable. The dashboard features improved ergonomics. In addition, it has an anti-reflective coating. Optionally, the car can be equipped with an aerodynamic visor, air conditioning, a high-quality CD radio, electric windows, a heated driver's seat and many other components.

Loading platform

A rectangular box-type metal platform is installed on the KamAZ-53605 dump truck modification. The front wall of the body is supplemented with a special visor that covers the space between the cabin and the body itself.

Depending on the configuration, the truck can have different types of platforms: with folding side and tailgates, only with a folding tailgate, as well as a trough-shaped platform. In addition, the useful volume also changes, which can be increased from the standard 6.5 cubic meters to 8 cubic meters.

All body variations are produced by the Neftekamsk Automobile Plant (NefAZ), which is one of the divisions of the Kama Automobile Plant.

The standard cargo platform has an overall length of 4100 millimeters. The width is 2410, and the height of the sides is 850 millimeters.

Frame

KamAZ-53605 is distinguished by its original frame design, which takes into account strong and unevenly distributed loads during operation. This heterogeneity, coupled with the uneven distribution of the load and the often not completely level position of the car, creates impact forces, twisting and bending moments.

For this reason, the frame has an increased profile section. In order to reduce these negative impacts, the KamAZ-53605 dump truck is equipped with a “floating” fastening of the platform subframe to the frame.

The subframe is fixed rigidly at the rear, with a bolt in the middle, using spaced flanges, and at the front with springs. For this reason, it is possible to adjust the loading platform to changing loads. Due to the relative movement of the frame and subframe, the resulting vibrations are compensated.

Operational resource

Kama-made engines have a very impressive service life. According to the manufacturer, the units can last up to 800 thousand kilometers before major repairs. Scheduled maintenance intervals range from 15 thousand to 20 thousand kilometers on average, depending on operating conditions.

Imported versions of Cummins 6ISBe 285 and Cummins ISB6.7E5 300 have a service life of up to one million kilometers, which really inspires confidence. After this, a major overhaul is required. Unlike domestic engines, Cummins engines need to be serviced every 30-60 thousand kilometers, depending on operating conditions.

Fuel tank

Depending on the configuration, the KamAZ-53605 model can have a fuel tank with a capacity of 210 or 350 liters, which is quite enough for long-term operation without stopping for refueling.

Fuel consumption

Trucks equipped with engines from the Kama Automobile Plant consume on average no more than 38 liters of diesel fuel per 100 kilometers.

With the arrival of foreign power units, KamAZ-53605 became one of the most economical vehicles. When operating in winter, the average fuel consumption is 26 liters per 100 kilometers. In summer, consumption drops to 23.6 liters per 100 kilometers.

checkpoint

During the first period of serial production, trucks were equipped with domestic five-speed manual transmissions of the KamAZ-154 brand. An alternative option then was a six-speed manual transmission of the ZF 6S1000 brand.

Later, a nine-speed manual transmission of the ZF 9S1310 brand with remote control became available for KamAZ-53605. It has the following gear ratios:

  • 1-9,48;
  • 2-6,58;
  • 3-4,68;
  • 4-3,48;
  • 5-2,62;
  • 6-1,89;
  • 7-1,35;
  • 8-1,00;
  • 9-0,75;
  • ZX-8.97.

The final drive ratio is 6.33.

The gearbox is connected to the engine by a diaphragm single-plate dry clutch of the MFZ430 or MFZ395 brand, supplemented by a hydraulic shutdown drive and a pneumatic booster.

It is worth noting that the production of imported ZF gearboxes is currently carried out at the ZF-Kama joint venture, also located in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The driveshaft is responsible for transmitting torque from the gearbox to the drive axle.

Brake system

The KamAZ-53605 universal chassis and dump truck use a pneumatic braking system, like its predecessors. In order to increase its reliability and durability, the designers used foreign-made components, namely from the German manufacturers Wabco and Knorr-Bremse.

All wheels are equipped with classic drum brakes. The drum of each mechanism has a diameter of 400 millimeters. There are two brake pads installed inside, the width of which is 180 millimeters. The total area of the brake linings reaches 4800 centimeters, which is quite good for a two-axle truck.

The braking system also includes an ABS anti-lock braking system. In case of emergency braking, it prevents the wheels from completely locking and maintains the vehicle's controllability and stability.

Chassis

For this model, the Kama Automobile Plant used an original frame structure that is resistant to significant and uneven loads during operation.

Unlike other models, the frame uses spars with an increased profile section. For additional resistance to negative influences, dump truck modifications are equipped with a subframe with a floating attachment to the frame structure. Its rear part uses rigid fixation, the middle part is secured with bolts, and the front part is equipped with springs. Thanks to this solution, during operation the dump truck body adapts to the changing load, which in turn made it possible to compensate for the resulting fluctuations.

At the front of the truck, a dependent suspension was used, borrowed from the KamAZ-6520 dump truck. It has two sets of longitudinally located semi-elliptical leaf springs with sliding rear ends and two double-acting telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers. In addition, the design includes a stabilizer bar. Rubber-metal supports are used at the free ends of the springs. Previously, this design had replaceable crackers and side liners.

For the rear axle, we also chose a spring suspension, but from the KamAZ-5460 truck tractor. It consists of longitudinally located semi-elliptical leaf springs with a sliding support. In addition, the rear suspension has springs and an anti-roll bar.

Both axles of the car are equipped with disc wheels with rim sizes 9.0-22.5. But the first versions used wheels with rim sizes 8.5-20. The wheels are equipped with pneumatic, tube or tubeless (depending on the year of manufacture) tires size 315/80 R22.5. The wheels of the first sample usually came with similar tires, but with a size of 12.00 R20 (320 R508).

A single-pitch tire is used at the front, while a classic dual-pitch tire is used at the rear.

The steering of this truck is equipped with imported components provided by the German companies Zahnradfabrik and RBL. In terms of their characteristics, they are completely identical to domestic ones, but have greater durability and reliability. The power steering pump is also installed from German manufacturers. By analogy with other components, the pump has similar parameters to the domestic KamAZ-6520-3407200, manufactured at the OJSC Gidroprivod enterprise.

Dimensions:

  1. Total length (chassis) – 6650 mm;
  2. Total length (chassis) – 7130 mm;
  3. Total length (dump truck) – 6760 mm;
  4. Full width – 2500 mm;
  5. Full height (low cabin) – 2890 mm;
  6. Total height (high cabin) – 2945 mm;
  7. Wheelbase length (short) – 3950 mm;
  8. Wheelbase length (extended) – 4200 mm;
  9. Front track width – 2022 mm;
  10. Rear track width – 1790 mm;
  11. Ground clearance – 270 mm;
  12. The smallest turning radius is 8000 mm.

Dumping platform dimensions

  1. Internal length – 4100 mm;
  2. Internal width – 2410 mm;
  3. Internal height of standard sides – 850 mm;
  4. Platform volume (standard) – 6.5 cubic meters;
  5. Platform volume (modification) – 8 cubic meters.

Weight and load capacity

The universal chassis has a curb weight of 6825 kilograms, of which 2800 kilograms rest on the rear axle and 4025 kilograms on the front axle. The chassis design allows the installation of various types of superstructures weighing no more than 13600 kilograms, which provides the vehicle with a total weight of 20500 kilograms.

The curb weight of the dump truck modification is 8725 kilograms. Of these, 4525 are on the front axle and 4200 kilograms on the rear axle. The maximum load capacity of the dump truck is 11,700 kilograms. When fully loaded, the car has a mass of 20,500 kilograms. 7,500 of this is held by the front axle and 13,000 kilograms by the rear axle.

Both modifications can be used in tandem with various trailers with a total weight of no more than 14,000 kilograms. The total weight of the entire road train is 31,500 kilograms.

Power supply

The on-board network of the KamAZ-53605 truck has a constant voltage of 24 Volts. When the engine is off, it is provided by two lead-acid batteries with a capacity of 190 Ampere-hours each. Also, each battery has a nominal voltage of 12 Volts and to obtain the required 24 they were connected in a series circuit.

In the case of a running engine, the power source is a three-phase generator with a power of 2000 watts. It produces a nominal voltage of 28 Volts, the largest part of which provides power to the on-board network, and the rest to recharge the batteries during the operation of the vehicle.

KAMAZ FUEL CONSUMPTION PER 100 KM DEPENDING ON THE ENGINE INSTALLED

March 26, 2022 Knowing how much fuel a car “eats” will allow you to calculate the required amount of fuel for a certain distance. Thanks to this, you can calculate the financial costs of the trip. Cars with lower fuel consumption will allow you to save a lot if you travel on it regularly. In this article we will consider the fuel consumption of KAMAZ per 100 km of track. To this end, it is worth noting that the truck was produced with various bodies and power units. This means that for each individual model this indicator will be different.

Models with KAMAZ-740 power unit

Trucks in this category were equipped with diesel engines with power from 178 to 260 horsepower. Their working volume ranged from 5900 to 10850 cubic centimeters. Fuel consumption (KAMAZ) per 100 km in this case ranges from 19 to 36.3 liters.

It is worth noting that the trucks of this group were equipped with engines that met different emission standards. The minimum consumption of a car belonging to the first group is 19 liters. to a standard distance (KAMAZ-4308). The maximum value in this group is typical for the model with index 43118 - 33 liters for a given distance.

Among truck models belonging to the Euro-3 class, the lowest consumption of 20.9 liters per hundred is typical for the KAMAZ-4308 modification. The highest value (36.3 l) belongs to the KAMAZ-43118 model.

Dump trucks typically consume fuel in the range of 22-40.8 liters. The minimum value belongs to the model with the index 43255, the maximum - 65201. The popular model KAMAZ-6520 belongs to this category of trucks. Fuel consumption per 100 km is typical from 29.2 to 21.1 liters.

A group of truck tractors from this manufacturer consumes from 22.6 to 33.5 liters. The truck with index 5460 eats the least - less than 25 liters. The most “gluttonous” was the tractor with index 44108. Its figure is less than 34 liters per hundred.

Another group of vehicles that are produced with engines of this type is the chassis. Their fuel consumption values range from 17 to 39.3 liters per hundred kilometers. Among the models in this category, KAMAZ-65115 can be distinguished. Fuel consumption per 100 km for it is 25.8-28.4 liters.

Cars with Cummins engines (Euro-3)

Among the flatbed trucks, only one model was equipped with this power unit - KAMAZ-65117. Its fuel consumption rate is 38 liters.

Also one model represents the category of chassis vehicles. It received the index 43118. KAMAZ fuel consumption per 100 km in this case is 41.5 liters.

Dump trucks with Cummins engines consume 40.5-53.0 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers. Truck tractors for a road of such a distance will require from 51.8 to 80 liters, depending on the model of the vehicle itself.

Cummins engines related to Euro-4

About ten vehicle models were equipped with power units of this class. KAMAZ fuel consumption per 100 km for them can be equal to 21-24 liters. And it can reach 37-43 liters. It depends on the specific category.

As you can see, the manufacturer offers a wide list of models with different fuel consumption indicators. They may be low or they may be too high. Therefore, when choosing a suitable truck option for yourself, it is worth taking these values into account. After all, the larger it is, the more financial resources will have to be spent during operation.

Peculiarities

KamAZ-53605 turned out to be a practical, economical and cost-effective truck, in demand both in construction and in public utilities. Thanks to its compact overall dimensions and high load capacity for this class, this model is very convenient for use in conditions of limited free space.

With the advent of new cabins, the level of comfort has improved significantly. The interior has become more ergonomic and high quality. The cabin has comfortable seats, and the driver's seat is also equipped with air suspension. The wide windshield, cabover layout and additional rear-view mirrors provide excellent visibility with a minimum number of blind spots. When operating in harsh temperature conditions, comfort inside the cabin is ensured by an efficient heating system.

Among other features, it is necessary to note the efficiency, due to which the KamAZ-53605 has become one of the best in the line of the Kama Automobile Plant. Using an imported engine, the car consumes no more than 26 liters, which is a truly excellent indicator.

The time-tested suspension design is ideally adapted to Russian road conditions. Key components and assemblies also have a fairly large margin of safety, which in turn has a significant impact on the reliability of the model as a whole.

As described earlier, the closest competitor to this truck is the MAZ-5551. And, despite the fact that it has a lower cost, KamAZ-53605 surpasses it in other equally important parameters, such as comfort, safety, maneuverability, reliability, and load capacity. All these qualities made KamAZ-53605 one of the most popular on the Russian market and in the CIS countries.

Rear drive axle

When creating the rear drive axle for this 4x2 dual-axle vehicle, specialists from the Kama Automobile Plant used a unit of a fundamentally new design, which is designed for an axle load of 13 tons. Its layout is similar to the design of MAZ axles: the crankcase houses a bevel gear with an interwheel differential, and a cylindrical gear, in the form of planetary gearboxes, is located in the hubs of the rear wheels.

The use of a new bridge on the KamAZ-536O5 vehicle also entailed changes in the design of the cardan transmission. In particular: the use of an intermediate support (the design of the previous rear axles made it possible to do without it). Of course, the use of one drive axle instead of two, in cases of identical operating conditions, both simplifies the entire design and reduces its material consumption. The consequence of this is a decrease in curb weight and a decrease in driving resistance. Which is a good prerequisite for reducing diesel fuel consumption.

Naturally, the two-axle design of the truck also contributes to a noticeable reduction in the costs of its operation and maintenance: along with the additional axle, four tires, four brake pads, and eight liters of transmission oil “disappear.”

Flaws

Many owners often note poor build quality. Of course, this problem does not plague all models, but most. Therefore, on a new truck it is necessary to immediately tighten all the main elements and lubricate the rubbing parts. It also wouldn’t hurt to check the oil in the main components and assemblies.

A lot of comments were addressed to the tailgate locks. It is recommended to either modify them or completely replace them, since standard locks become clogged after unloading bulk cargo, which makes closing the side very difficult.

Some owners did not like the sound insulation. Compared to its predecessors, the KamAZ-53605 cab is much quieter, but still quite noisy by modern standards.

Price

New dump truck modifications are available at an average cost of 3.1 million rubles, depending on the year of manufacture, configuration and type of installed platform.

A universal chassis with zero mileage can be purchased at a cost of 2.9 million rubles, depending on the same year of manufacture and configuration.

There are quite a lot of used copies on the secondary market. For models released between 2010 and 2012, prices often range from 1.2 million to 1.4 million rubles. The price tag for more recent versions starts at 2 million rubles.

The cost of used cars is influenced by factors such as year of manufacture, type of modification, type of installed equipment/add-on, as well as technical condition and mileage traveled over the entire period.

In addition to purchasing, you can also use the rental service. One hour of operation of a KamAZ-53605 truck averages from 950 to 1,500 rubles.

Reviews from owners and drivers

  • I have been working on KamAZ 53605 since 2022. Now I have a dump truck for transporting sand and crushed stone, but before I had a tractor-trailer. The car is not bad in terms of cargo capacity, as well as cross-country ability. The 280-horsepower diesel engine is surprisingly enough for the tasks at hand. I take good care of my car, which is my main source of income. I don’t overload the car, I drive on asphalt and dirt roads, depending on orders. Of course, acceleration in an empty state is much better than under load. But we must admit, even with 10 tons of cargo, the speed is gained normally, and the engine does not turn sour even on long climbs. You can drive at 90 km/h. Fuel consumption is around 40 liters, that is, noticeably higher in comparison with the passport data. The 10-speed transmission is reliable and efficient. I've never taken it apart. As they say, if it works, there’s no need to interfere. The grip of the gearshift lever is very comfortable - the gears are engaged without effort. The car was in new condition, but after some time rust appeared on the cabin. I repainted it and applied anticorrosive. It's cramped inside due to the short wheelbase - the legs are constantly bent at the knees. While driving on a dirt road, the car shakes noticeably. The back becomes numb after 4 hours. After all, this is a Kamaz, so why be surprised?
  • I work for a construction company and drive a Kamaz 53605 with a Cummins engine with a capacity of 280 horses and a 9-speed ZF gearbox. The cabin is restyled, with modifications outside and inside. I drove 90 thousand km, which is absolutely nothing for a car of this level. The engine runs flawlessly - there have been no overheating, oil burns or excessive fuel consumption yet. At least when loaded you can keep within the standard 40 liters/100 km. I fill up with high-quality diesel fuel at proven gas stations. In general, it’s better not to skimp on consumables, and only in this case will the car last long enough. There is no all-wheel drive, but even without it the Kamaz is pleased with its cross-country ability. Of course, it’s better not to meddle in off-road conditions - for example, in quarry conditions, the engine and chassis of my KamAZ will quickly ask for “mercy,” and that’s not what my dump truck is designed for. The volume of the cargo platform is 6.5 cubic meters. Unloading - back. The hydraulic lift works without interruption, fluid does not leak. There is no corrosion yet, but I already know that paint on dump trucks does not last long - so sooner or later rust must appear. I immediately dismantled the standard seat and installed an imported air-suspended seat. I don’t need a sleeping bag in my dump truck, but I really don’t have enough air conditioning in the summer.
  • Kamaz 53605 does not indulge in reliability, but there was nothing to do - there was not enough money for a foreign car. After driving 175 thousand kilometers, it was time to change the turbine, which is one of the most expensive components of an internal combustion engine. In addition, the gearbox needed to be rebuilt. I repeatedly climbed under the engine, improved the sound insulation of the cabin, and also strengthened the suspension with additional springs. The cabin seems to be compact, but the efficiency of the stove leaves much to be desired. As a result, we had to install an autonomous heater - with it it’s a completely different matter. It was uncomfortable to sit in the standard seat, but nevertheless I managed it for the first 80 thousand km, and then installed a supported seat from a Man tractor. It at least has acceptable lateral support and a longer back and cushion. The seat, of course, has air suspension - otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it. But no matter how much I modify the Kamaz, I still want a foreign car. I’m thinking of doing full pre-sale preparation and putting it up for sale, but for now Kamaz is fully coping with the delivery of bulk cargo.
  • Kamaz 53605 has been in active use since 2012. There is something to praise the car for, but at the same time, there are also serious shortcomings that simply cannot be gotten rid of. At the moment, the mileage is 200 thousand km. The truck tractor impresses with its dynamics and load capacity, as well as its geometric cross-country ability acceptable for this class. I like the design of Kamaz - perhaps, from an ergonomic point of view, the car is well thought out both outside and inside. After all, this model has been refined for decades; the Kama Automobile Plant has already accumulated considerable experience, including through partnerships with foreign brands. I have the maximum configuration with air conditioning and heating system. The steering is power-assisted, which is tuned very intelligently - it gets heavier as speed increases, and in a parking lot, when starting from a standstill or maneuvering the steering wheel, you can turn the steering wheel with at least two fingers. In general, the amplifier is tuned well, and at a decent speed you can always feel the connection between the steering wheel and the wheels. The 280-horsepower diesel engine meets Euro-3 standards and its performance is impressive. When fully loaded, the machine confidently overcomes inclines. I undergo scheduled maintenance in a timely manner, regularly tighten components and assemblies, and also lubricate them if necessary. Repainting the body from time to time won't hurt either.
