Transmission and chassis

  • 1 year/20,000 mileage – revision of crankcase ventilation, battery and spark plugs, attachment belts and timing chains;
  • 1.5 years/30,000 km – inspect the exhaust manifold for burnout, replace the fuel and air filters;
  • 2 years/40,000 mileage – replacement of antifreeze and inspection of hoses and cooling system devices.

The designers have developed an internal combustion engine device to ensure a timing chain drive resource of 100,000 km. However, it is recommended to change the chains complete with rollers and tensioners earlier - at the turn of 90 thousand km.

Then the contract with the GAZ automobile plant ended and was not concluded again. But ZMZ entered the same Sollers holding together with another automaker UAZ. Initially, the characteristics of the 409 series engine fully met the requirements of domestic SUVs, and UAZ vehicles began to be equipped with them:

  • until 2005, all-terrain vehicles 31512, 31514, 31519;
  • 3159 Bars (long version);
  • 3162 Simbir (extended modification);
  • since 2005, Patriot SUV;
  • since 2008, the cargo-passenger version of Pickup;
  • 452 “Loaf” van, “Tabletka” ambulance, 10-seater bus, two-seater truck, three-axle bus and truck tractor;
  • 3741 all-metal vans;
  • 2206 all-wheel drive minibus;
  • 3909 Farmer.
