Characteristics of diesel loader DV 1792
A representative of the universal class of special equipment is the Bulgarian DV 1792 loader, which has nominal performance for its size and weight. It is quite popular in modern industry. It is quite reliable, unpretentious to operating conditions and fuel quality, easy to operate and does not require large costs for preventive maintenance.
The type of hydrodynamic transmission used with a high coefficient ensures a low noise level, ensures smooth running of the unit from a standstill and changes in direction of movement. A comfortable and protected operator's workplace with optimal placement of motion controls and a lifting mechanism does not lead to fatigue and increases the duration of continuous operation of the loader. The instrument panel allows you to constantly monitor the main parameters of the power unit, including coolant temperature, fuel consumption and operating time.
Technical description
For such small-sized special equipment as the DV 1792 loader, the technical characteristics of the efficiency of handling equipment are determined by the power of a four-cylinder diesel engine of 78 hp. The fuel system with high pressure pump provides a rotation speed of 2500 rpm, which in combination with the equipment provides:
The loader confidently works with multi-pallet forks, crane and bucket equipment, and grippers for loads of various shapes.
Features of the structure of the structure
In the basic version, the Balkankar DV 1792 loader is distinguished by a massive all-welded chassis, on which the main running and loading units are mounted:
- the engine is attached to the main beam with two special brackets, and the drive axle is attached to the left and right plates welded to it;
- the lifting device is mounted directly on the left and right beam bodies and consists of a movable and fixed frame with a vertical trolley;
- steered axle, suspended from a counterweight with a piston hydraulic cylinder connected to the steering;
- The drive axle is rigidly fixed in front of the main part of the chassis and transmits torque to the wheelset through a single-speed hydrodynamic transmission, providing a short stroke for maneuvering.
The operation of the equipment is ensured by a working pressure in the hydraulic system of 250 bar, supplied through a plunger-type hydraulic distributor.
Forklift DV 1792 (review, characteristics)
DV 1792 is a Bulgarian-made loader, produced in Plovdiv since the late 80s. They were actively supplied to factories, ports and warehouses of the USSR and Russia. At the moment, they are living out their life and are considered a budget 3.5 ton loader.
Main components Balkankar 1792
A D3900 4-cylinder diesel engine was installed; the internal combustion engine was copied from the famous Perkins 4.236 engine by VAMO.
Works in tandem with the hydromechanical gearbox ГДП 6855/6060 (new type) or ГДП 6844 (old type). When choosing a DV 1792 loader, it is better to pay attention to the new model of the hydraulic drive; there are more spare parts, they are cheaper, and they are more repairable.
As for the steering axle, there were also 2 types with a one-way and two-way steering cylinder; in terms of reliability, two-way is better, but spare parts for it are very expensive, so it’s difficult to judge which is better.
The fuel system is a simple mechanical, rotary injection pump of the DPA series - Mefin F020 (Mefin F020), in rare cases F425 and ordinary bellows. nozzles with a pressure of 175 atmospheres, a low-pressure pump with the possibility of manual pumping.
The hydraulic system of the forklift is very simple, it is driven by the NSh S72X pump, which supplies oil from the tank to the hydraulic distributor and further along the working parts.
Modifications Balkankar DV 1792
Many types of equipment came out of the factory and had all sorts of devices, but they were classified mainly by lifting height:
- DV 1792.28 – lifting boom 2.8 meters
- DV 1792.33 – lifting boom 3.3 meters (the most popular)
- DV 1792.40 – telescopic boom lifting 4 meters (quite rare)
- DV 1792.45 – telescopic boom 4.5 meters lifting
Much depends on the configuration, there may also be options:
— with solid, bandage or pneumatic tires;
— difference in fork length;
— two types of command devices РХ80 or РХ360 were installed;
— universal joint elastic or metal.
We can say that the entire series 1784, 1786, 1788, 1792, 1794 is the same loader, only the counterweight has changed!

Within 300,000 rub. you can buy a “live” copy and not invest much in subsequent repairs. If any trouble occurs, we will help you repair the DV 1792 loader at a professional level.
Operating principle of special equipment DV 1792
The movement of the machine begins after the multi-plate clutch is engaged in one of two positions. The compact diesel loader DV 1792 transmits force from the power unit to pneumatic double drive wheels through the main drive with a differential. The load is lifted in two stages.
The principle of operation has some similarities with. First, the supporting beam lifts the vertical trolley, selecting a free stroke of 150 mm, and then the movable frame lifts until the cylinder piston reaches the full stroke. When lowering the load, the process works in the opposite direction.
The smooth tilt of the lifting unit is carried out using two double-acting piston cylinders through adjustable throttles DN-16, equipped with a check valve.
An additional non-adjustable throttle limits the speed of lowering the load if it is exceeded.
Machine control
The small-sized forklift DV 1792 is equipped with a multifunctional command device for forward and reverse movement. The steering wheel, thanks to the hydraulic booster, ensures easy rotation of the steering axle, which is hinged to the counterweight of the loader. The turning force at a nominal pressure of 15 MPa in the system is easily transmitted to the steered wheels. The steering mechanism allows the unit to precisely maneuver at an angle of 90 degrees in corridors measuring 3.9 meters and a turning radius of 2.44 meters. The straight-line speed is 22 km/h.
The control system has a unique ability to compensate for shocks to the steering mechanism thanks to the cylinder.
When colliding with an obstacle, the oil pressure in it increases, which forces the pump to turn on to supply it to the compensation chamber. By manipulating the levers, the hydraulic system of the unit is controlled through the hydraulic distributor. In the initial position the cylinders are closed. When the lever is moved for lifting, oil flows into the lift cylinder, and when lowering, it is pumped into the tank. When tilting forward or backward, the distributor directs the oil flow into the pre-piston or post-piston space of the tilt cylinders.
Scope of use
The compact forklift easily drives over temporary decks into shipping containers, multi-ton intercity van trailers, and railroad cars. Mobility and maneuverability in limited space, low noise level of the propulsion system and environmentally acceptable exhaust gas parameters suggest its use in crowded places.
Its constant use in warehouses with narrow aisles and in large supermarkets selling construction, food and industrial materials does not cause any complaints from the owners. It can be used for loading in small areas.
Due to the smooth operation of the lifting and moving mechanisms, it is often used for transporting fragile goods and medicines in glass packaging. The movement of the forklift is carried out on areas with asphalt or concrete pavement. At the same time, individual unevenness is acceptable, allowing the passage of a loader with a ground clearance of 13.5 cm. For a forklift DV 1792, the price after a major overhaul is approximately 380,000 rubles. Production of forklifts of this model in Bulgaria has been temporarily suspended.

Possible breakdowns and methods for eliminating them
According to the experience of most owners, the DV 1792 loader is absolutely reliable, but requires routine technical inspection and maintenance. It is necessary to constantly monitor the oil pressure in the hydraulic system, change filter elements in a timely manner to prevent clogging, which leads to an increase in pressure and operation of the safety valve under light loads. If braking parameters deteriorate, check the wear of the brake linings, the reliability of the cables and the absence of leaks.
If the loader does not move when the forward and reverse clutch is engaged, you must immediately check the oil level in the hydrodynamic drive. Then measure the pressure to the torque converter, corresponding to a value of 2.6 kg/sq.cm at 1000 rpm and blow out the oil lines. When choosing Balkankar equipment for individual or industrial use, each owner justifies the money spent and solves problems efficiently.
Today, loaders are widely used in various fields of activity. A forklift is a special warehouse vehicle designed for lifting, moving, loading, unloading cargo using forks and additional devices installed on the forks. Other names are also used for this machine - car and reach truck.
Various manufacturers are constantly developing and putting into production new models and modifications of this vehicle.

Loader device
The gearbox has 2 speeds. The car has a fuel pump. The driving wheels are the front wheels, which are slightly ahead of the axle. The bridge transmits torque to the wheelset at a constant speed, which gives a low speed. The machine can maneuver. The bridge is connected to a counterweight with hydraulic cylinders called tilt cylinders. The fork mast tilts when the hydraulic cylinders operate: 6% forward, 8% backward. The rear wheels are driven. Drum brakes, with hydraulic booster, are actuated through a hydraulic and mechanical system. Braking occurs by actuating the hand parking brake.
The engine is located at the rear of the Balkancar DV 1792. The movement of the loader begins after the clutch is engaged. When lifting a load, the trolley first rises up on the supporting beam, and only then the movable frame to which the forks are attached rises. Hydraulic system pressure 250 bar. For most loaders, long forks are made everywhere, which fit over the factory short ones. Sometimes short forks are inconvenient for work. Then use long ones. This loader is currently no longer available. What comes from Bulgaria under the brand name of new loaders are machines that were in warehouses, they are brought into good shape and sold as new.

Balkankar forklifts: model characteristics
Equipment such as forklifts is quite in demand in various areas, in particular in warehouses, ports, train stations and factories. During Soviet times, the country of Bulgaria produced very popular Balkankar loaders, which had excellent characteristics and an attractive price. When many manufacturers closed after the collapse of the USSR, the Bulgarian plant did not stop production and still offers an excellent range of models.
The equipment has proven itself to be the best; owners note excellent maneuverability, a huge service life, good power and versatility. Balkankar loaders have been working in open areas for years, and with their compact size they can perform work in confined spaces. The current range of models is represented by loaders with diesel, gasoline and even electric power plants; models can also be classified by load capacity. Since Bulgaria is located nearby, there will be no problems with purchasing a loader and finding parts for it.
Main advantages
- All models are modern and presented with new systems, safety is at the highest level.
- It is possible to choose the right model from a huge number of models; the market is also full of used forklifts.
- The service life of Balkankar products is enormous; the equipment can operate for 20 years without losing its productivity.
- Loaders are already sold in many dealer stores, so you don’t have to worry about maintenance and purchase.
Compact dimensions make it possible to work in confined spaces, and a good high-torque engine ensures transportation of goods over long distances. Most often, such loaders transport cargo on pallets, so the machine is ideal for use in warehouses.
This technique is used both in open spaces and indoors, but in the second case problems arise. An important disadvantage of the loader when working indoors is the high noise level, especially on diesel and gasoline engines. Also, such motors pollute the air with CO2 emissions, so it is important to pay attention to this. It is important to make sure that there is good ventilation inside the room.
Technical characteristics of Balkankar DV 1792
One of the most popular and main models of the Bulgarian manufacturer is the DV 1792 loader. Perhaps the current characteristics differ from those indicated, because the model has received a number of changes. The loader is equipped with a 57 kW or 78 hp diesel engine and operates at a maximum speed of 2,500 rpm. The 4-cylinder engine was called VAMO D3900, it was the main one for this model, but several other power plants were also offered. When used correctly, it consumed about 7 liters of diesel per hour. An interesting fact is that one loader model could have several modifications and, therefore, differ in engines. Don't be surprised if you come across the DV 1792 model with an electric motor.
Externally, Bakankar has a classic shape, weighs 5.45 tons and is 2.85 meters long. For a complete turn, only 2.7 meters of space is enough. The maximum lifting capacity is 3,500 kg, the forks can be raised to a maximum height of 4.5 meters. The system also allows you to lift a load up at a speed of 38 mm/sec. When loaded and running with a diesel engine, it can move at speeds of up to 22 km/h. For this purpose, the manufacturer installs pneumatic wheels.
Device model DV 1792
The Balkankar loader box received only 2 speeds, but this did not make it any worse. The front wheels are the main ones for movement; torque is transmitted to them from the front axle. For better performance, there are hydraulic tilt cylinders; an excellent thing is that they help tilt the fork mast by 6% forward and up to 8% back. Safety is ensured by simple drum brakes; a parking brake is used for braking.
They decided to install the engine in the rear, which was a positive decision. If it is necessary to transport large loads, you can order longer forks, which are placed on the main ones. Unfortunately, the DV 1792 model is no longer produced by the plant, but the manufacturer sells such copies as new. In fact, these cars were in the warehouses of the plant, and before being sold they are cleaned up and sold. Depending on the condition, you can buy a forklift of this model at a price from 300 to 900 thousand rubles. Over the years of operation, the loader has proven itself only on the positive side, which is confirmed by excellent maintainability and operation for 20 years.
Features of Balkankar loaders
- Diesel, gasoline and electric engines are used, based on brands such as Toyota, Minsk, Deutz. The engine is installed depending on the load capacity indicated on the forklift.
- When using an electric motor forklift on Balkankar, the control is carried out by microcontrollers. This solution simplifies the operation of the equipment and provides better safety.
- Modern models use a hydrostatic transmission, so you can operate the loader by lightly pressing the pedal.
- Loaders have primary and secondary lighting.
- Depending on the model, two types of tires are offered - pneumatic or solid. The pneumatic model provides excellent shock absorption, but does not guarantee good stability. Solid wheels, on the contrary, are less shock-absorbing, but better hold the loader on the road and have greater wear resistance.
Available series of Balkancar loaders
Today you can buy Bulgarian forklifts in a huge selection of models to suit your needs. There are several series available that vary in engine and lift characteristics. The most famous series are ER, 1S, 2S, 2SR, 3S, 4S.
Also, many people ask what kind of oil to pour into a Balkancar loader? Diesel engines are filled with classic diesel oil; the box can be filled with Dixtron 2 oil. We also recommend using Dixtron or any hydraulic oil in the hydraulics.
