History of JSC Joint Stock Company Production Association "Elabuga Automobile Plant".
The construction of the Yelabuga Automobile Plant began in 1984 on the basis of Resolution No. 996 of the CPSU Central Committee and the Council of Ministers of the USSR, and the first stage was put into operation only in 1991, when the collapse of the Union began.
