The KS 3577 truck crane is a special light-class equipment designed for loading, unloading, as well as construction work in various sectors of the national economy.

The crane is mounted on a two-axle chassis of a MAZ-5334 vehicle.

The KS 3577 truck crane is quickly brought into working position and does not require much space for access and work. The technical characteristics of the machine allow you to move any weight: reinforced concrete products, metal products, timber and others.

The use of a trapezoidal support contour made it possible to increase both the maximum lifting capacity of the crane and the lifting capacity in the operating radius range compared to the same characteristics of the KS-3571 crane.

A multifunctional and universal truck crane came off the assembly line of the Ivanovo Automobile Plant. The base vehicles to which this crane equipment was supplied were the following models: MAZ-5334 and MAZ-5337.

INTRODUCTION

The crane operating manual contains basic information on the design, regulation, management, operation, care and storage necessary for servicing the crane.

The operating manual adopts technical terms and designations of physical quantities, regulated by the relevant GOST, OST and RD.

Main components of boom equipment

The KS-3577 truck crane is technically equipped so that it can be used in various lifting operations, performing unloading and loading operations or participating in the installation of building structures weighing no more than 16 tons.

Boom equipment

Traditionally, like most truck cranes, the KS-3577 model is equipped with a telescopic boom design. The lifting organ itself consists of two parts: a fixed one, hinged to the support, and a movable section, which can be pulled out. The lifting of the main supporting part of the boom is provided by the main hydraulic cylinder. Two hydraulic cylinders connected to each other using a coupling are responsible for extending the second section.

Boom extension

A jib or extension is provided to increase the working space under the boom, as well as the height of the latter. In the KS-3577 truck crane, this element is made of rolled metal (angle) and is attached to the head of the retractable boom section using special brackets. The jib can be transported on the KS-3577 itself, attaching it next to the boom to its side plane.

Operator's room, truck crane rotary unit, lifting body

KS-3577 is a lifting system that operates hydraulically. The working bodies are driven by a hydraulic pump, which itself is connected through a box to the power take-off shaft of the vehicle. The crane operator can use a special lever in the cabin to disconnect the pump from the drive.

Platform rotation mechanism

The unit is made on the basis of a hydraulic motor, which is connected to a two-stage gearbox. There is also a shoe type brake and a hydraulic release. The output part of the gearbox has a gear on the shaft. The latter engages with the turning-support circle via a gear ring. The rotating part of the truck crane can be rotated manually using a handle. To do this, there is an intermediate shaft with a gear with a shank at the end.

Crane operator's cabin

The driver operating the KS-3577 truck crane is in a special cabin during lifting operations. All machine controls are located in this workroom. The cabin is equipped with lighting equipment, a cooling fan, and has spacious viewing windows. For work in winter, the workplace is heated; the cabin body itself is thermally insulated.

Lifting mechanism

The cargo winch is driven by a hydraulic motor through a two-stage gearbox. It itself has a drum with a braking method through a band brake and a hydraulic release. The drum communicates with the hook suspension through a special cable.

The KS-3577 truck crane is a modern machine with a basic set of electrical equipment, which includes security systems, measuring instruments, and lighting equipment. All these electronics are powered by a 24 volt generator.

Safety devices designed to ensure safety when a truck crane performs lifting operations are represented in the KS-3577 by limiters: exceeding the maximum load weight, boom extension and reach, and the height of the load lifting level. There are also all kinds of sensors and alarms.

Features of operation

The crane operating instructions prohibit a number of operations:

  • reach maximum engine speed with the pump running;
  • operate at increased pump speeds;
  • operate the machine without inspection;
  • simultaneously move the load and change the angle of the boom;
  • move with a load suspended on a hook;
  • connect the power take-off gearbox without squeezing the clutch;
  • operate the valve at reduced pressure in the pneumatic circuit (below 5 kg/cm²);
  • rotate the crane tower with a load at a frequency above 2 rpm;
  • drive on a crane with the rear suspension locked.

KS-3577, like any other crane, has certain characteristics that allow you to understand what tasks this special equipment can solve.

  • The maximum weight of the truck crane lifting load is 16 tons;
  • Boom size – 14 meters;
  • Speed ​​when moving the load up and down – 10 meters per minute;

  • Speed ​​while traveling on the highway – 85 kilometers per hour;

Cargo height capabilities

Basically, the lifting capacity of the KS-3577 truck crane is determined by the reach of the boom equipment; here an inversely proportional relationship is observed. Working with and without outriggers also plays an important role. The use of supports with a boom length of about 10 meters and its reach of 5 meters makes it possible to achieve a load capacity of 8.5 tons. With similar parameters, but in the case of operation without supports, the load capacity drops to 1.4 tons.

Advantages and disadvantages

Equipment owners note positive features:

  • ease of operation;

  • ease of maintenance of the crane hydraulic system;
  • smooth movement of cargo;
  • interchangeability of spare parts with trucks.

The disadvantages include:

  • MAZ-53371 is a flatbed truck with a payload capacity of 8.5 tons, with a YaMZ-238M2 diesel engine with a power of 240 hp.
  • MAZ-5337-040 – chassis with a payload capacity of 9,850 tons, with a YaMZ-236M2 power unit with a capacity of 180 hp.
  • MAZ-5337-240 – chassis with a payload capacity of 11.5 tons, with a YaMZ-236NE2 diesel engine with a power of 230 hp.
  • MAZ-533731-346 – chassis with a Deutz BF 4M 1013 FC engine with a power of 190 hp. and meeting Euro-3 environmental requirements. (Of course, this is NOT a common version at all, but it is still worthy of mention).
  • MAZ-5337-01(HL) is an on-board vehicle designed for operation in conditions of ultra-low temperatures (down to -60*C).


Common special vehicles based on the MAZ-5337 include:

  • MKDS-3410 is a combined road machine that includes watering equipment, a universal plastic tank, a rotating sectional blade, a snow brush and a road reagent distributor;
  • MB-15 – garbage truck;
  • G6-OPA-7.5 – tank truck for transporting food liquids (water, milk, wine, alcohol-containing liquids, etc.). Thermal insulation allows you to prevent changes in the temperature of the liquid by more than 2 degrees for 10 hours, with a difference in temperature between the liquid and the environment of about 30 degrees.


The MAZ-5337 is based on a classic “ladder” frame, made of high-strength steel, on which the cabin is rigidly mounted and all the main components and assemblies are installed.

The main modifications of the MAZ-5337 model include:

The cost of the 1990-1994 model ranges from 300,000 to 700,000 rubles.

Model price 2004-2008 release starts from 1,000,000 rubles. It is possible to purchase on credit or draw up a leasing agreement.

A crane sold in Moscow, but geographically located, for example, in Izhevsk, costs less and will last longer.

The cost of renting a MAZ-5337 truck crane is 800-1500 rubles/hour.
