KAMAZ-65115 is equipped with an air suspension, which increases cabin comfort for the driver. Its other advantages are a large windshield, high seating position and a low-mounted instrument panel, making the view from the cabin extremely complete.
The characteristics of KAMAZ-65115 include a large diameter of wheels, which, combined with its rigid suspension, make this model one of the leaders in cross-country ability. When fully loaded, it can travel at a maximum speed of 80 km/h.
Construction of the KAMAZ-65115 dump truck
Engine
This model is equipped with CUMMINS 6ISBe 285 six-cylinder diesel engines. The volume of this engine is 6.7 liters and the power is 282 horsepower. These engines are turbocharged and also have an air pre-cooling system.
Also, the technical characteristics of KAMAZ-65115 are determined by its nine-speed manual transmission. The “engine-box” rotation is transmitted by a single-plate clutch equipped with a pneumatic booster and a hydraulic drive. Some modifications of this dump truck have engine power (of the same type) of 300 and 325 horsepower.
In all three modifications, fuel consumption is the same and amounts to 210 g per horsepower, thanks to which the KAMAZ-65115 dump truck reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h. In order to increase specific power, reduce fuel consumption and reduce noise, the engine is equipped with a special Common Rail fuel supply system instead of an injection pump.
Cabin
KAMAZ-65115, whose technical characteristics and load capacity deserve high marks, is equipped with an updated cabin, the design of which is highly ergonomic. Driver comfort is ensured by:
- lateral supports of the car seat;
- high roof height;
- instrument panel equipped with warning lamps;
- handrails on both sides of the door opening;
- two panoramic mirrors that provide a good overview (eliminate “dead” areas);
- tool box under the passenger seat;
- an additional set of tools, including 24 types;
- three-brush windshield cleaner.
The dump truck has an all-metal cabin, characterized by high thermal and sound insulation. Its headlights are very powerful. Passive safety is ensured by impact-resistant plastic cladding on the car bumper. Side deflectors keep handles clean.
Chassis
The truck was created specifically for Russian roads. Its tires have a size of 11.00 R20, thanks to which it is possible to comfortably drive this model in those areas that are characterized by difficult terrain. The “howl” of the bridges is excluded here; it is quite possible to talk in the cabin without raising your voice. The suspension is somewhat stiff, but this stiffness is partly compensated for by pneumatic elements for the driver's seat. There are brake drums with a diameter of 400 mm and a width of 140 mm, equipped with a pneumatic drive and designed to stop the dump truck as quickly as possible.

The drive axles of the KDM (combined road vehicle) based on the KamAZ 65115 are rear and front. They have a two-stage final drive. Depending on the configuration, they can be equipped with reinforced brake mechanisms. The car frame is stamped, riveted and consists of two side members with a variable cross-section.

Engine
The latest modifications of the model are equipped with 6-cylinder diesel engines CUMMINS 6ISBe 285 with a displacement of 6.7 liters and a power of 282 hp. Such engines are equipped with turbocharging and a pre-cooling system for the charged air.
The engine is equipped with a 9-speed gearbox (manual). A single-plate clutch with a hydraulic drive and pneumatic booster is responsible for transmitting rotation between the engine and the gearbox.
There are even more powerful modifications with the same type of engine - their power is 300 and 325 hp. Fuel consumption will be identical for each of the 3 modifications and will be 210 g/hp, which will allow the car to reach a speed of about 80 km/h.
To increase specific power and economical fuel consumption, as well as to reduce noise levels, the engine is equipped not with a classic injection pump, but with an unpretentious Common Rail fuel supply system.
The reliability of components allows you to increase the service interval by 80%.
Cabin
The model is characterized by an updated cabin with an ergonomic design. For driver comfort the following are provided:
- lateral seat supports;
- increased roof height;
- instrument panel with warning lamps;
- handrails on both sides of the doorway;
- two panoramic mirrors providing excellent visibility (“dead zones” are excluded);
- tool box under the passenger seat;
- additional set of basic tools (24 items);
- 3-brush windshield wiper.
The cabin is all-metal, with high levels of heat and sound insulation. The lighting optics here are powerful headlights. For passive safety, the bumper has an impact-resistant plastic lining. The cleanliness of the handles is ensured by side deflectors.
Chassis
The car was created for our road conditions - thanks to tires of size 11.00 R20, you can comfortably drive cars in areas with poor traffic.

Kamaz-65115 has been the most popular dump truck on the market for more than 15 years. And it fully justifies its unofficial name: the KAMAZ 65115 “tank” is not afraid of any dirt. KAMAZ-65115 is a station wagon dump truck with a wide range of applications in all areas of human activity. This dump truck performed well both with and without a trailer. Wherever the transportation of bulk cargo is required, from use in agriculture for the transportation of soil, ending with its use in the construction industry, mainly KAMAZ 65115 with an optimal ratio of cubic capacity of 10.5 m3 of body and a carrying capacity of 15 tons is used for transporting sand and construction waste. One of the characteristic features of the KAMAZ-65115 vehicle is the use of heated dump trucks with a total volume of 10.5 cubic meters.
