Brand Massey Ferguson

This is one of the most famous and reliable agricultural machinery on the market.
This is not surprising, because its history goes back 170 years of struggle for the right to be recognized as an industry leader. Having gone through many mergers and acquisitions, Massey Ferguson has become a manufacturer trusted by successful farmers in many countries around the world. The company's official website offers a full catalog of products and is translated into many languages. It all began in the small Canadian city of Newcastle, where in 1847 Daniel Massey founded the Newcastle Foundry and Machine Manufactory company, which began assembling mechanical threshers. At the beginning of its activity, the company worked on imported (American) parts, but soon switched to its own equipment, building assembly lines. The company grew so rapidly that within thirty-two years the founder's son relocated production to Toronto, changing its name to Massey Manufacturing and becoming a key employer in the city. The company constantly improved production, which, in the face of growing demand for agricultural machinery, allowed it to develop at a colossal pace. Effective management of the enterprise allowed it to reach the international level and become a leader in Canadian industry.

Comfortable cab provides a high level of operator comfort and excellent visibility

With 24cm of space separating the cab from the engine, Protect-U protects the cab from noise, heat and vibration. With a noise level of just 68 dB, the cabin is rightfully considered one of the quietest on the market, and with a volume of 3.4 m³, one of the most spacious.

The cabin glazing area is 6.6 m². This means that the operator will work in a spacious, bright environment with excellent visibility. By replacing the traditional instrument panel with the new MF vDisplay digital terminal mounted on the right pillar, engineers left only the steering wheel and power control in front of the driver, thereby ensuring an unobstructed view forward. The sloping hood serves the same purpose.

A special atmosphere in the cabin can be created by a genuine leather seat (optional), leather-wrapped steering wheel and trim (optional). The new high-quality seat is equipped with automatic air suspension, heating, ventilation and lateral support. Of course, the cabin is equipped with an efficient automatic air conditioning system with 14 vents. On models with the Exclusive package, mechanical active cab suspension improves operator comfort.

All information about the tractor’s operation is displayed on the MF vDisplay digital dashboard. The easy-to-read and intuitive display can be personalized, with a rotary switch on the steering wheel to change settings.

The new central armrest with the high-tech and easy-to-use MultiPad joystick allows you to control the machine with just the movement of your fingers. An ISOBUS-compatible lever provides access to all tractor functions, while an integrated microjoystick controls two solenoid valves.

The updated Datatronic 5 terminal (new high-gloss glass and user interface) is mounted on an adjustable bracket. Working with a terminal equipped with a 9-inch touch screen is no more difficult than working with any mobile phone or tablet. The single-screen system allows you to control tractor functions and monitor the operation of systems such as MF Guide, MF Section Control and Rate Control, as well as MF Task Doc, designed for data collection and transmission.

High power and efficiency

AGCO Power's latest 6-cylinder 7.4-litre Stage V engines deliver high power and torque at low revs, helping to reduce operating costs. The same purpose is served by the use of reliable All-In-One exhaust gas aftertreatment technology, as well as automatic adjustment of clearances in the valve drive mechanism, which do not require maintenance.

Reliable power units develop power from 205 to 265 hp. With. Additional 20 l. With. are provided by the EPM system and are used for transportation as well as power take-off and hydraulic equipment. Maximum torque is achieved already at 1000 rpm and is maintained up to 1500 rpm. This ensures high performance at low engine speeds, and also reduces fuel consumption by 10% and noise levels by 6 dB.

All-In-One technology combines Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) with a Particulate Catalytic (SC) filter to create a fully integrated system that does not require a separate diesel particulate filter (DPF) or a complex variable geometry turbocharger. This compact unit, located outside the tractor and designed to last, does not obstruct the operator's view. This is also facilitated by the exhaust pipe, which has become even thinner than before.

Isolated motor

The Protec-U layout, with 24cm of space between the cab and the engine bay, sets the MF® 8S Series apart from other tractors. In addition to reducing heat, noise and vibration transferred into the cabin, the unique isolated engine layout improves cooling and improves performance.

The air taken in from the center of the tractor, behind the engine, is cleaner than the air taken in with a standard power unit installation. Clean air reduces the load on the main air filter, optimizing engine performance.

In addition, this innovative design significantly improves access for cleaning radiators. This simplification of routine maintenance increases operational reliability and reduces downtime.

New highly efficient and easy to use gearboxes

With the launch of the MF® 8S series, the Massey Ferguson® brand introduces new highly efficient power transmission technology.

Designed and manufactured by Massey Ferguson®, the Dyna E Power dual clutch transmission combines the benefits of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with the highly efficient power delivery of a manual transmission. Compared to the previous model MF® 7700 S Dyna-6, the new transmission differs in reduced power loss (at high speeds this figure can reach 26%) and increased fuel economy by 10%!

Dyna E Power provides more complete shifting behavior under load. The use of double friction clutch technology allows shifting needs to be anticipated and carried out discreetly. Four shift ranges with seven gears and semi-overlapping ranges are ideal for improved performance in the field and on the road.

The choice of fully automatic or manual operating mode is carried out using the buttons on the MultiPad joystick or the power control lever. Additionally, you can adjust the degree of severity and speed of gear shifts in automatic mode, which allows you to adapt to the specific operating conditions and operations performed.

Shifting is discreet, smooth and efficient, with ratio differentials of just 9% per gear in the field – between 5 and 20 km/h.

To further improve fuel efficiency, reduce noise levels and enhance comfort, top speeds are achieved at very low engine speeds: 50 km/h (where permitted) at 1,500 rpm, 40 km/h at just 1,200 rpm.

Alternatively, users can choose the new Dyna 7 semi-automatic powershift transmission, which improves on the proven and reliable Dyna 6 but remains just as easy to operate. The new transmission features an additional power shift gear and smooth operation, and in addition, it is 10% more fuel efficient than the Dyna-6 for the same engine power in the field.

The Dyna 7 is a simple and efficient transmission that offers a total of 28 forward and reverse gears (four ranges with seven smooth-shifting gears). This cost-effective model features smooth and intuitive operation in both manual and fully automatic modes.

In the future, the MF® 8S Series will also be available with the MF Dyna VT transmission with CVT technology, further enhancing operator comfort.

High power and efficiency

Massey Ferguson® 8S Series tractors are built on a 3.05 m wheelbase. This provides stability and improves traction performance when working with wide, power-hungry equipment, delivering up to 10% more traction power.

Power is transferred efficiently to the wheels via the new, extremely robust rear axle, which is available in a variety of flanged, short and long shank designs to suit any application.

The rear axle can now accommodate tires up to 2.05 m in diameter, including the all-new VF650/75 R42 Trelleborg TM1000 PT.

Engineers retained the proven standard front axle suspension. The turning radius of the new tractor is 5.7 m. In addition, a locking mechanism is offered for the front axle suspension, and brakes are installed on the front axles of tractors equipped with a gearbox that supports movement at a speed of 50 km/h.

The lifting capacity of the three-point linkage mechanism has been increased by 7% - up to 10,000 kg. New powerful hydraulic mechanisms allow these tractors to handle higher productivity and wider implements. Models come standard with a load-sensing closed-center hydraulic system that delivers 150 l/min, a 36% increase over the previous model. As an option, you can install a system with a capacity of 205 l/min, also available in the ECO version. A similar figure is achieved at 1650 rpm (230 l/min at maximum engine speed). Up to five electronic rear spool valves can be specified.

All models come standard with a four-speed power take-off (PTO), allowing operators to select from four modes (540, 540ECO, 1000 or 1000 ECO) to match the correct rpm based on power needs or fuel economy.

The new integrated front linkage system with a lifting capacity of 4800 kg is fully integrated into the tractor and can be equipped with an ISOBUS connection as an option.

Connectivity technologies

Connectivity systems are standard on MF® 8S Series tractors, which offer MF Connect Telemetry, including a three-year subscription license. This allows mobile data to be used to transfer information to the MF Connect Cloud, providing easy access to useful machine information.

Massey Ferguson Business Expansion

In search of new ways to develop and expand its business, the company analyzed its external environment. The A. Harris, Son & Co. brand caught her attention. Ltd, and in 1891 the businesses merged under the name Massey-Harris Limited. The new company became the undisputed leader in the agricultural equipment market of the British Empire. It started producing not only reapers and threshers, but also began producing bicycles in 1898.

The company continued to grow rapidly and in 1910 bought the American Johnston Harvester. From that moment on, Massey-Harris Limited officially became a transnational company - one of the first in Canada! MF currently has facilities in four countries. But the country of origin, Canada, is not one of them.

In 1938, Massey-Harris made a big breakthrough. The company's engineers designed the world's first self-propelled harvester. The model was not suitable for mass production, as it was expensive and heavy, but it became a prototype for the subsequent development of the model for launch on the market.

The company's management considered all ways to improve and diversify its product line, and in search of alternative options, Massey worked for some time with steam engine manufacturer LD Sawyer & Company. A line of steam tractors was launched, which had some success, but with the development of oil-based internal combustion engines, it was decided to abandon this direction.

During World War II, Massey-Harris supplied the US Army with tanks, tractors and self-propelled artillery. By 1958, when the company finally received a world-famous name, it merged with Harry Ferguson Limited, and as a result the Massey Ferguson brand appeared.
