The Centaur T-220 minitractor is equipped with a Japanese-made diesel engine - KAMA. This power plant is characterized by increased reliability, which guarantees long-term uninterrupted operation. It should be noted that almost all KAMA units have increased efficiency, compared to even the most expensive Chinese mini-tractor model.
The advantage of diesel engines has been proven more than once. Such units are very high-torque at low crankshaft speeds. Thanks to this, the engine used in the Centaur T-220 mini-tractor is capable of competing with engines with a power of up to 35 horsepower, although it itself has 22 horsepower. The longest operating time occurs at low speeds; accordingly, the most important engine elements are least susceptible to wear.
The engine also features very economical fuel consumption. This is explained by the fact that the manufacturer installed improved fuel injectors, thanks to which it was possible to achieve optimal atomization of fuel in the cylinders. Moreover, they were designed in such a way that when operating on low-quality fuel, coking of the injectors would not interrupt operation, as a result of which their service life was increased.
The engine strokes alternate evenly, resulting in reduced noise and vibration levels, thereby ensuring improved comfort.
The basic mini tractor has a 1000 mm track, thanks to which the equipment has excellent stability and maneuverability. But it is worth noting that this width also has its limitations, namely, the tractor can only be used for continuous processing. In order for the model to be used for in-line processing, you will need to additionally purchase a set of rear hubs that widen the track to 1200 millimeters.
Thanks to the presence of an electric starter, starting the power plant will not cause any difficulties. The unit is started with a key, but there is also a special crank with which you can start it in the event of a malfunction of the electric starter.
The Centaur T-220 model comes standard with an improved manual gearbox, which has three low, three high and two reverse gears. The first three are intended for soil cultivation, when the latter are used when transporting any goods. This gearbox has a fairly wide speed range, namely from 3 kilometers per hour to 50 kilometers per hour.
The transmission features an improved single-plate clutch that ensures smooth starting and gear shifting without any jerking.

Features of operation
Before starting the mini tractor for the first time, in accordance with the operating instructions, the manufacturer recommends checking the diesel in the fuel tank, the oil level in the crankcase and checking the fastening connections.
After this, start the engine by turning the key to value 4, then return to level 2. If the engine does not start within 15 seconds, the key is returned to its original position, and the start is repeated after half a minute.
