Home Brands Hyundai Hyundai H350
Hyundai H350 is a line of the latest commercial vehicles designed by the Korean automotive giant with the aim of entering the European market. Manufactured using the latest design solutions, the vehicles in the line will be an excellent assistant for medium and small businesses operating in urban environments. The cars are perfectly adapted to Russian operating conditions, create comfort for the driver and meet the most stringent safety requirements.
Design and modifications
The basis is a modern platform, the chassis of which uses 75% heavy-duty steel. Stiffening ribs introduced along the entire contour of the body provide extremely effective dissipation of loads from an impact, which saves in case of an accident and leads to a reduction in the impact of road irregularities into the car interior.
All supporting parts and body panels have a surface layer of anti-corrosion alloy steel, on top of which an electrolyte is applied before painting to prevent the formation of rust. The design is made in a modern style - especially noteworthy is the radiator grille, which harmoniously flows into the optics; a sleek hood and bumper at the front with integrated fog lights and two steps for servicing the engine or cleaning the windshield.
High-precision, eye-friendly overhead LED lighting. The H350 has a hexagonal radiator grille, beautiful headlights are located at the front of the car and there are LED daytime running lights for additional floodlighting. There are mirrors with LED side turn signals and side moldings that protect the ends of the Hyundai H350. LED lights create an elegant exterior design and ensure the vehicle's energy efficiency.
There are 3 modifications: chassis cab, van and minibus with 14 or 15 seats for passengers. Depending on the version, the length of the car can reach 5.5 m or 6.2 m, and the wheelbase can be 3435 or 3670 mm, respectively.
Hyundai H350 - first acquaintance
At the Hanover exhibition, Hyundai Motor presented for the first time a multi-purpose light commercial vehicle created specifically for the European market. Three bodies will be produced simultaneously on this platform: a cargo van, a passenger bus and a flatbed truck. Actually, the Koreans haven’t come up with anything new here; this is common practice for cars of this class. DALNOBOI.ORG remains true to its traditions and is one of the first to introduce its readers to the Korean novelty.
When first introduced, the Hyundai H350 looks like an efficient, safe and stylish commercial vehicle. The H350 boasts technical characteristics that put it in a leading position among its classmates. When developing the H350, Hyundai engineers focused on six key areas: efficiency, cost, payload, safety, reliability and performance. It seems they managed to achieve the desired result.
The total weight of the van is 3.5 tons, the cargo compartment can accommodate five standard Euro pallets, with a volume of 10.5 m3 for a van 5.5 m long. With an extended base of 6.2 m, the useful volume will increase to 12.9 m3. The width between the wheel arches is 1380 mm, the total weight of the van is 3.5 tons. For a bus with 14 +1 seats, the load capacity will be 4 tons.
Upon closer inspection of the body of the new Hyundai H350, you will find similarities with a Ford, Mercedes or Volkswagen van. The developers themselves claim that the design is unique and here they are most likely right. Like any other successful commercial project, the H350 simply had to have ideal shapes. Trying to improve the exterior design and shape of a commercial van is like improving the design of a bullet or a rocket. The drag coefficient was brought to a record 0.369.
When creating the H350, engineers used steel with exceptional technical characteristics. Suffice it to say that 75% of the body parts are made of high-strength steel, which ensures high impact resistance of the entire van structure. The design of Hyundai passenger cars was continued in the commercial line. A certain similarity and brand identity can be traced. For example, the radiator grille integrated into the front bumper is similar to the design on crossovers. Stylish LED headlights attract attention when you see the car for the first time.
A powerful molding on the body will ensure the safety of the paintwork during inevitable contacts in dense urban use. The 1279 mm wide side door allows the driver to have easy access for unloading. At the same time, the loading height is only 700 mm. The two rear hinged doors are locked when opened at 180 and 270 degrees. The width of the main opening is 1538 mm. The picture is completed by an impact-absorbing rear bumper. It is possible to operate a van with a trailer with a total weight of 2.5 tons. By default, this trailer must be equipped with a braking system.
Hyundai H350 vans are equipped with modern turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engines paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Without test drives, it is difficult for us to assess the merits of this engine. The 2.5-litre power unit is available in both standard power (110kW/373Nm) and high power (125kW/422Nm). The engine uses a new generation fuel system and electronically controlled turbocharging. The engines in the H350 deliver superior performance, even when fully loaded.
Extensive extreme weather testing of the new H350 was carried out in Europe, Scandinavia and even Russia. In total, more than two million kilometers were covered in extreme conditions. Tested with negative temperatures in northern Finland and Russia, summer heat was experienced in Spain. The car is equipped with the latest active and passive safety systems: Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA), emergency stop signal (ESS), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) prevents the car from rolling away on a slope. At the request of the client, the car is equipped with an electric locking differential of the rear axle. The H350's suspension is standard for cars in this class: MacPherson struts at the front and long leaf springs at the rear.
I also wouldn’t talk about internal comfort without test drives. Everything seems to be done correctly, all the handles and levers are installed in their places. We are pleased with such little things as a cooled glove compartment, large mirrors and a full power package with a 4.2-inch TFT display, which will provide the driver with all the key information about the car. It displays a fuel economy report, on-board computer data, data from parking sensors and audio applications. Of course, I would like to try the car in action, but something tells me that there will be nothing to complain about, since Hyundai is entering a market where no one was expecting it and the price for a mistake will be too high. We will wait for the new H350 van to appear in our showrooms and what the price for the new product will be.

Advanced technical parameters, unique design, solid power and amazing comfort are best combined in the newest Hyundai H350 minibus. This is the car that will effectively and for a long time serve the prosperity of your business.
The new Hyundai H350 from the leading Korean auto giant was created specifically for the European market. The new product was first introduced in 2015, but the minibus will reach the Russian market only by the end of 2022.
The Hyundai H350 is based on the long-wheelbase chassis of the H350 van, adapted for transporting passengers. The overall dimensions of the Korean new car are 6195 mm in length with a wheelbase of 3670 mm, 2038 mm in width excluding mirrors and 2436 mm with mirrors, 2673 mm in height (or 2777 when installing an electric interior ventilation system). The front overhang of the minibus is 990 mm, and the rear overhang is 1535 mm. The curb weight of the minibus is 2662 kg, and the total weight should not exceed 4000 kg.
The exterior design is exactly the same as the van, with the exception of the all-round glazing in the passenger compartment. There are two options for installing doors for the passenger Hyundai H350: side front and middle, or only the front; the layout of seats designed for 13 passengers also changes accordingly.
If there are two side doors, the right front seat is moved forward to the same level as the driver's, thereby freeing up the passage in the middle part of the cabin. If there is only one front door, then the seat returns back to the salon, leaving only the central passage, to the right of the driver.
Everything else in the cabin, from the front panel and center console to the controls, is completely the same as in the van.
The H350 passenger minibus, like a van, can pull a trailer (with a brake system) weighing up to 2.5 tons, and in the absence of additional brakes only weighing up to 750 kg.
Specifications. The new Hyundai H350 minibus, like its platform van, is equipped with rear-wheel drive and a 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine in two versions (150 hp 373 Nm) and (170 hp 422 Nm). The average fuel consumption in the mixed driving cycle is 8.1 and 8.7 liters, taking into account if the Start/Stop system is constantly turned on, and when it is turned off, fuel consumption increases to 8.5 and 9.1 liters. Both engines are paired with a non-alternative 6 speed manual transmission.
As standard, the minibus is equipped with a hill start assist system, halogen optics, fog lights, electric windows, ABS and ESP systems, central locking, an airbag for the driver, a standard audio system, heated side mirrors and hydraulically controlled disc brakes.
As an option, you can order an electric passenger footrest, LED lighting and an interior ventilation system. In Russia, according to preliminary information, the price of the new Hyundai H350 minibus will be from 1,800,000 rubles.
