But the maneuvering mode - Manoevring - was replaced with a “crawling” mode - Crawler. You can drive it without pressing the accelerator, which simplifies the driver’s work.
To improve efficiency, hypoid axles were installed. The gear ratio has been reduced from 2.846 to 2.611. And the car reaches the “maximum speed” of 85 km/h in 12th gear at 1260 rpm instead of 1370.
There is a wider frame (834 instead of 744 mm) with improved torsional rigidity. To increase stability and comfort, the wheel suspension has been redesigned: instead of two air springs at the rear, there are four. The weight of the front leaf spring suspension has been reduced. To improve handling, steering with a different gear ratio was used.
Top quality and safety. The Actros is already equipped with a Lane Keeping Assist road marking monitoring system and an airbag for the driver. And the “classic” package includes the Active Brake Assist system with automatic emergency braking function when an obstacle occurs.
