Reviews from owners about the advantages of the Nissan NV200
The advantages of the Nissan NV200 minivan, grateful owners include the model's performance, compactness of folding seats, handling and efficiency. The ergonomics of the front panel with a single dial indicator - the speedometer - is impressive. They like that the salon is made for living people who want to not only drink water on the road, but also carry personal belongings and valuable documents with them. For these purposes, the cabin has many convenient pockets and compartments, including a secret one.
A gear shift lever built into the console under an informative electronic display, a forward-folding front seat backrest, a multifunctional steering wheel, a spacious removable middle seat that can be pulled out and used outdoors - all these delights come with the ignition keys. Like two front airbags, ABS, BA (sudden braking assist), EBD (with electronic brake pressure distribution).
But for reverse sensors, side airbags, an intelligent key and an electric window lifter you will have to pay extra if you wish. Of course, the owners of the NV200 Evalia get maximum comfort and driving pleasure.
Disadvantages of the Nissan NV200 according to owner reviews
The owners cite the lack of a cabin filter as a disadvantage of the cargo-passenger version. Manual control of the heater and air conditioner, the lack of climate control, the radio only reads audio CDs, the equipment of an expensive-to-replace fuel tank instead of a fuel filter, and knees that stick in the middle seat - all of this can be attributed, rather, not to disadvantages, but to the requirements for the car to comply with its class and price segment.
Buying NV200 at auction
Nissan NV200 in any configuration can be purchased not only in the showroom or second hand. It can be purchased through auction sale directly from Japan. To do this, you need to delegate the right to select a car, its transportation and customs clearance to an intermediary who knows not only the Japanese language, but also all the procedures for delivering it to Vladivostok and further across Russia. Although Osaka-Vladivostok transit has been established for a long time, the amount of overhead costs can be equal to the cost of a car.
Download space
There is always enough space to load. Fill the boot or fold down the seats, your e-NV200 Combi adapts as needed, ensuring you're always ready, no matter what awaits you.
A – Trunk lid 1.5 m.
B – Trunk height 524 mm.
C – Trunk height: 1.36 m.
Maximum cargo weight: 658 kg.
Performance and driving
There's no doubt that the Nissan NV200 was designed for city work, but that doesn't mean it's uncomfortable on the open road.
The fact that it's tall and narrow can cause problems, but the NV200 is actually quite adept at cornering. The ride is smooth and even though the tires are skinny, it handles all types of roads well.
The power generated by the entry-level engine is borderline acceptable. Most small vans tend to have around 100bhp and the extra 10% makes a significant difference.
If you're just going to use the NV200 around town, then 200 Nm of torque will be enough for you. But if you plan on long motorway trips, we recommend the 110 hp engine. Not only is there more power, but torque is increased to 240Nm and there's an extra gear to improve fuel economy and engine speed while cruising.
Both engines are fairly quiet, but if you plan on logging motorway miles, the six-speed gearbox will benefit more.

Worldwide popularity of Nissan NV200
It would be wrong not to mention another modification of the NV200 - an option for a New York city taxi. A panoramic sunroof, a middle seat moved to the rear wheel arches, a leather interior, loading luggage through swinging double-leaf rear doors, running boards for two-way entry - all this set of comfort is driven along the busy streets of the main American city by a 2-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine. A minivan with front-wheel drive and a shorter wheelbase than a sedan is very popular and easily recognizable.
External body dimensions
Of course, all three modifications are based on the same body with sliding side doors, which allows parking for loading and unloading on any side of the curb. The stylish front grille merges with the headlights, and the front windows that are angled towards the headlights make the Nissan NV200 recognizable on the road. The ground clearance of 158 mm does not allow fording, but for comfortable driving around the city and for a picnic it is quite enough.
The length of the body between license plates is 4.4 m, the width between the side steps is 1.695 m, the height of the minivan is 1.85 m. The rear track is 1.51 m wider than the front by 0.02 m, and taking into account the wheelbase of 2.725 m NV200 can unfold up to 10.4 m.
The maximum number of people the NV200 can accommodate through all five of its doors is seven. On a 55-liter fuel tank they can be taken either to the sea or to the village.
NV200 Suspension Features
The front suspension is independent, on springs and a subframe, and the rear suspension is semi-independent, on springs. Front and rear stabilizers help maintain the NV200's directional stability and cornering control. Front-wheel drive is installed on cars with a diesel engine, and rear-wheel drive is paired with a gasoline engine, automatic 4-speed gearbox and climate control. The front wheels with tire sizes from 165/80 R14 to 175/70 R14 are on disc brakes, and the rear wheels are on drum brakes. Everything is simple, but reliable. A real samurai.

Vehicle interior
Nissan NV200 interior
The Nissan NV200 has many advantages over similar models from other manufacturers. Most minivans are equipped with heavy seats, the position of which can only be changed by dismantling them. The Nissan NV200 minivan is equipped with comfortable seats that can be folded to provide more space in the cabin. The front row easily reclines forward, the middle backrests fold, and the rear rows can be folded separately. A car quickly turns into a truck.
The interior is trimmed with Japanese plastic, which is hard and has good durability. The air conditioner maintains a favorable microclimate. All this is controlled by a special computer program. But there are also some inconveniences - in the last row of passenger seats, due to the spring rear suspension, it can shake a little. The driver's work is made easier by electric power steering. There are dual front and rear airbags, and side airbags can also be installed.
Car appearance
The multifunctional minivan Nissan NV20 has 3 body configurations. All of them are equipped with easy-to-maintain and operate side sliding doors on both sides, allowing parking to any side of the curb. A comfortable, spacious interior has been created to transport passengers; the truck has a roomy, comfortable body.
In total, several modifications of this car have been developed:
- The truck is a van with a spacious cargo compartment and a cab with driver and passenger seats.
- A universal model that combines a truck and a passenger compartment, the Combi has 2 rows of additional seats that can be folded to accommodate large cargo in the back.
- Passenger Evalia (family minivan ) is a “luxury” option, which provides everything necessary for long trips.
- There is also a version of the city taxi Nissan NV200 with a panoramic sunroof, conveniently located passenger seats for these purposes, a luggage compartment, everything is provided for convenient boarding of passengers.
