I don’t know about Vanette - Serenka cost me $500-600 for 1.5 years with spare parts (large ones - clutch replacement), consumables. It would be possible even less if I didn’t go to the officials in the first place, and if I have the hands, then in general the issue is resolved only by spare parts with different price ranges. I can say that before Sereka I had a Volga (I bought a new one), so I spent more time with it than with my wife

. Here I’m too lazy to look at the oil.

As for long distances - I went to the Krasnodar Territory in the summer - I’m happy

I wouldn't risk it on GAZ products. Transport cargo - even more satisfied with Reliability - Of course, there are problems, but it depends on the previous owner, how he looked after it. In general, read the conf, all the weaknesses are basically described here. and I hope Golopuper will finish the FAQ on minibuses.

Wear and sticking of piston rings

On a disassembled Nissan 1.8 engine (QG18DE) we found signs of oil leakage. Firstly, the oil rings on all the pistons were stuck. Secondly, there are traces of burning oil on the hot zone and on the surface of the piston under the rings.

There is only one way to “cure” the high oil appetite of all QG series engines - replacing the oil scraper rings. Moreover, Nissan has not released any alternative improved rings, so the new ones will wear out, and increased oil consumption will return.

However, among the QG engines there are also those that have successfully traveled more than 100,000 km without noticeable oil consumption. Thus, this problem is not systematic, but still occurs on most engines.

Review by visitor 'Mikhail' about the Nissan Vanette Truck (Nissan Vanette Truck)

Photo of Nissan Vanette Truck

(Nissan Vanette Truck)

Damn, I hate these right-hand drive cars - the cabin is cramped, it shakes

like on a cart, the manual gearbox handle rests on your knee in fifth gear,

The doors are on oars, there is no air conditioner, the ceiling is cardboard,

There is no tape recorder - only a radio, some kind of leatherette interior.

Okay, relax - the Nissan Vanette Truck flatbed truck.

In general, Nissan is just a label. I'm not attaching photos because they are all the same. This car is a Mazda Bongo. I once wrote a review about the diesel version of which. It ended with the fact that I wanted to order the gasoline version. Since you often buy a pig in a poke, we jointly decided with my partner (two idiots decided to go into business), we ordered three pieces. We chose through the TAA websites and a couple more, I don’t remember which ones, with my own hands. Two for sale, one for yourself. She came alone. The one for sale. I had to keep it. I won’t say anything about the all-wheel drive versions, in excellent condition with new tires, that perished in the vastness of the People’s Republic of China, holding back a tear.

What I did right away: because at the moment this is my only car left for all things, then - MP3 - music, speakers, custom-made velor interior (damn, how do the Japanese manage to mess up trucks like that?), synthetics in all units (no, it’s true), new tires YOKOGAMA. Forward - wider (185/70/14), back - higher and wider, I don’t remember the size, twin 12. I had to redo the body, which had traces of corrosion (to be precise, it was a bunch of rust). I remembered one thing that, from time immemorial, has been used to treat the tight engagement of second gear on a manual transmission - replacing the 80/90 in the gearbox with Dextron.

Otherwise, the car proved to be an ideal workhorse. Only the thermostat was changed (it warmed up slowly in winter, after replacement - 2 minutes and the arrow in the center, in the cabin - Zimbabwe). Since due to the nature of my individual activity I had to transport boxes measuring 1200*156 (and only those), the dimensions of the body (2400*156) turned out to be not only useful, but right on point. On which he won numerous disputes by loading these boxes one and a half times more than in the Gazelle Van.

In addition to learning how to handle cargo slings, the car gave me invaluable driving lessons. By the way, it’s worth noting that it handles perfectly in city traffic. To be honest, I have driven (and spent a long time) in many good cars. Most of even good passenger cars can’t hold a candle to Vanette/Bongo, believe me! The reactions are so clear that the brakes, steering wheel and gas become your extensions (as well as shock absorbers, springs and bumps, bumps, bumps, etc.)

With some exceptions. Climbing uphill on ice. With an empty body. But after six months of use, I learned to do this too! The curb, neatly stolen from the road service, took its permanent place above the rear axle.

Driving along the highway above the stolnik is also quite an attraction. But you understand the feelings of the first Formula pilots, you get imbued with the spirit.

And most importantly, the advantage, or even complete victory, over the diesel version was confirmed. A carburetor of an archaic (in appearance, at least) design, a distributor, a coil (round, like on a Lada) - and all these miracles in 1998 from the birth of Christ in Japan! Engine, gearbox, cardan, axle - I want to chrome it and make it custom, everything is so complete. One day, having heard enough of a taxi driver who covered 250 tkm per year (intercity, one per day), he filled up with 80-grade gasoline. NOTHING CHANGED! Well, a little less, maybe some cravings. Traveled on the 80th month! No problem. However, the time has come to part ways. The boxes got bigger. And my wife was embarrassed when I picked her up at work at the bank. Right-hand drive trucks were also prohibited from being registered.

But if in your country everything is fine with the steering wheels (although if you read this language, then it’s unlikely), take it, it’s really a good car. nissan stagea modernization, sale of new nissan

Extraordinary silence and recovery mode: “Leaf” on the go

Starting occurs by pressing the Start/Stop button as usual. And then the silence surprises. There is no conventional engine here, so there is no noise or vibration. You can only hear the stove or radio if they are turned on.

Article on the topic: Zx grandtiger owner reviews

On the move, the Leaf is also very quiet. The noise comes only from the windows and wheel arches, and then only slightly. The car accelerates impressively, especially if you press the pedal harder. The technical specifications are not very impressive - the Nissan Leaf accelerates to hundreds in 11.5 seconds. But it feels like it's happening faster. And let's not forget, there are only 109 forces and a weight of more than 1.5 tons.

I really liked the handling, I didn’t even expect such a clear and sharp steering wheel. I remembered my experience of driving a Nissan Qashqai of the same model year - these, as they say, are two big differences.

Another unusual moment is driving in recuperation mode. To turn it on, I moved the gearbox control joystick to position B. The car began to slow down more efficiently, directing energy from braking to charge the battery. On the go you can feel the difference. With a certain skill, you can drive a car with one pedal without using the brake. This mode is good in the city, especially in traffic jams.

The Nissan Leaf also pleasantly surprised us with its suspension. The holes and joints go through very smoothly. At the same time, there is no rolliness in turns; the low center of gravity affects it.

Ground clearance is typical for a passenger car - 156 mm. The owner lived in the region for some time, and there were no problems with movement on rural roads. If desired, you can install tires with a higher profile and shock absorbers from Nissan Juke - the ground clearance will increase.

Nissan Vanette

Nissan Vanette (other names: Nissan Van, Sunny-Vanette) is a popular cabover minivan produced by a Japanese company since 1978. The model was available in various body styles: small truck, van and minibus with a capacity of up to 8 passengers. In Europe, some modifications of the car were sold under the name Nissan Serena.

The production of Nissan Vanette continued for a long time at enterprises located in Spain and Japan. Production of the minivan ended in 2011. It was replaced in the Nissan lineup by the NV200. However, sales of the Vanette model continue in some countries.

Nissan Vanette is unpretentious and reliable. The car is ideal for traveling in a large group or with family.

Brand history

The triumphant march of the model began in the fall of 1978. Then the Japanese automobile concern released its new brainchild on the roads simultaneously in three body styles. This is a minibus for eight passengers, a cargo van with two passenger seats in the front and a flatbed truck with a double passenger seat in the cabin. The most attractive thing about this car was and remains that it can be driven with a driver's license for a passenger car. From the first days of its existence, the Nissan Vanette has become a reliable assistant among lovers of family holidays and travel, supporters of small businesses and simply an irreplaceable universal car.

Nissan Vanette interior

The developers of the Nissan Vanette were not the pioneers of this class of cars. The idea of a “carriage” for more than 4 passengers simultaneously shrouded many design bureaus in its haze. But after the Mazda team managed to create and launch its Mazda Bongo model into series in 1966, Nissan engineers first had to wait patiently for eleven years until competitors (or like-minded people) had something that they could take as a base for creating your own legend. Creatively and skillfully redesigned.

For Mazda representatives, such a story would amuse their pride. But in the collection of Nissan models there were Nissan Sunny Cab 20 and Nissan Cherry Cab 20 with rear-wheel drive, both born in 1969.

Nissan Vanette reviews

Come, buy, you won’t regret it!

Nissan Vanette minivan, 5 doors. 2000 release; 2.3 l., mech., rear wheel drive

An excellent car, the torquey engine is enough even when fully loaded. Access to the passenger compartment is convenient due to two sliding doors. Folding seats make the interior comfortable for relaxation and tourism.

Advantages:

All of the above + original body design + comfortable driver's seat. Simple suspension design, easy to maintain and not expensive to repair. Stable on the road.

Flaws:

No air conditioning.

Oleg May 18, 2011infocar.ua

Do not buy new clutch, disc and basket from the market. Buy it at a dealership. It will be cheaper and more reliable. I replaced two on mine.

Nissan Vanette , 5 doors 2000 release; mech., rear wheel drive

The diesel engine provides savings in consumption, and the absence of a turbine controls the speed. Cruising 120 km/h. You can feel the lack of air conditioning, it gets hot when the windows are closed, but in use the large window provides good ventilation without a draft.

Advantages:

Lightweight (1.6 tons) allows you to start quickly at a traffic light. Maneuverable, power steering allows you to turn around where not everyone else in a passenger car can turn around. Load capacity 1050 kg. Consumption both empty and loaded is 8 liters. Two side doors provide unobstructed access.

Flaws:

The engine in the cabin moves the driver and passenger closer to the door, which is why at first it seems that the A-pillar will interfere with driving. This was my first impression, after 15 minutes of driving. Low placement of the gearbox, the lowest point of the entire machine, low clearance. No air conditioning. but I want to.

Igor May 18, 2011infocar.ua

Excellent for work, economical, more reliable with right-hand drive.

1998 Nissan Vanette

From now on, I only drive a Nissan Vanette, since the price/quality ratio of this car is disproportionately higher than new domestic cars (please do not forget that my car was produced in 1998 and at the time of purchase had a mileage exceeding 100 thousand km), and left-handed Europeans of a similar class and the year of manufacture are, on average, 2 times more expensive than my right-handed one. At the same time, as a rule, they have neither.

Advantages:

Absolutely hassle-free. A car that has paid for itself many times over, with incredible load capacity and agility.

Flaws:

In the event of a serious breakdown, wait for spare parts.

Nissan Vanette minivan, 5 doors. 1996 release; mech., rear wheel drive

The diesel engine provides savings in consumption, and the absence of a turbine controls the speed. Cruising 120 km/h. The first issues came out with air conditioning, mine was one of those. In the heat of 40 degrees you feel the difference, you don’t mind the extra 2 liters of solarium.

Advantages:

Lightweight (1.6 tons) allows you to start quickly at a traffic light. Air conditioning makes it possible to safely drive on hot asphalt. Maneuverable, power steering allows you to turn around where not everyone else in a passenger car can turn around. Load capacity 750 kg. I brought potatoes from Zhitomir for the winter, they took 3.5 UAH, I got out for 3.9 at home. Consumption both empty and loaded is 8 liters.

Flaws:

The engine in the cabin moves the driver and passenger closer to the door, which is why at first it seems that the A-pillar will interfere with driving. This was my first impression, after 15 minutes of driving. Low placement of the gearbox, the lowest point of the entire machine, low clearance. A modification of the Serena passenger car was produced with 4 doors, two side doors only on trucks. Which makes it hard.

Modifications of Nissan Diesel Condor

It was very buggy, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. I cured it in Russian, brought out a parallel branch into the interior and a button under the steering wheel, now it starts with a button, like a Porsche.

I was very pleased with the mountain brake recently.

I haven’t used it once in 5 years, so I decided to check if it works? And damn it works! Some people are confused by the right-hand drive, but there were no problems here from the very beginning, as it is convenient and practical. In a word, a reliable car, it’s not for nothing that the Koreans took it as a prototype for their Porter.

Article on the topic: Mazda 3 2007 owner reviews disadvantages

As for the shortcomings, the subjectively most important one for me is instability on the road in winter. Any compacted snow, not to mention ice, can lead to slipping and you will no longer move without assistance, even spikes will not help.

It gets to the point of phobias when you constantly look at the road, looking for a suitable place to drive and park. Not a single unpleasant incident during the entire period of intensive work. Having found myself in freezing temperatures last year at the entrance to Yakutsk, I realized that the frost and the diesel engine are clearly not friends.

The diesel fuel froze, the engine stalled, the wind was terrible and there was a complete absence of living things around. In a word - everything is bad. I froze my snot and my brain began to move; the 10 liter canister stored under my sleeping bag saved me in the literal sense of the word.

In the summer I installed a heated fuel intake grid in the tank from a Kamaz, I think it’s called “Geyser”, in the first frosts I was convinced of the correctness of the decision, but this did not seem enough.

Nissan Vanette engines

The Nissan Vanette was first released in 1979. Produced in minibus and flatbed truck formats. Capacity ranged from 2 to 8 people.

Gasoline engines that were installed on cars:

ATTENTION! A completely simple way to reduce fuel consumption has been found! Don't believe me? An auto mechanic with 15 years of experience also didn’t believe it until he tried it. And now he saves 35,000 rubles a year on gasoline! Read more"

Engine generations:

  • C120. Produced from 1979 to 1987.
  • C22. Produced from 1986 to 1995.
  • C23. Produced from 1991 to the present.

Until 1995, production was located only in Japan. Afterwards, production facilities were moved to Spain. Door options, number of seats, body glazing, modifications differ depending on the year of manufacture. The manual transmission for the engine was available in 4-speed and 5-speed versions. Starting with the C23 generation, automatic transmissions began to be installed. There are all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive car models.

The Nissan Vanette drive axle is located at the rear. The front suspension is double-wishbone torsion bar. The rear suspension can be spring or spring. The 23 Series is further divided into Cargo or Serena vehicles. Currently, the car replenishes the segment of passenger and commercial transport. Cargo vans and utility vehicles are marked SK 82. Passenger trucks are marked SK 22.

Second generation Nissan Vanette (C22; 1985–1994)

In 1986, the second generation Nissan Vanette received a number of improvements and changes, especially in terms of engines. Thus, the engine range includes: a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel power unit with a capacity of 79 “horses”; carburetor and injector (volumes 1.8, 2.0 and 2.4 liters, power from 88 to 120 horsepower).

Third generation Nissan Vanette (S20, SE, SK; 1994–1999)

The Japanese van remained rear-wheel drive, but its layout became modern - single-volume. The engine and front axle were moved forward of the cabin (under the 1st row of seats), which influenced the creation of optimal weight distribution.

Fourth generation Nissan Vanette (S21, SK; 1999–2011)

The fourth generation does not have pronounced distinctive features - the same rounded body design and simple interior trim; however, the range of engines was expanded. The successor of the Nissan Vanette van is the Nissan NV200.

In general, this commercial vehicle is quite practical and reliable, having a huge number of different modifications. It was these qualities that made the car popular and in demand not only in Japan, but also in other world markets.

What to choose

Nissan minibuses, which have a 1.8 liter gasoline engine, are very popular among car enthusiasts. Atmospheric diesel engines with a volume of 2.2 liters are almost equally in demand. There is an interesting option for turbocharged cars. The engine volume in this case is 2 liters. Everyone decides for themselves whether to give preference to an automatic or manual transmission, based on their personal needs. In any case, the unit is distinguished by its unpretentiousness, reliability, and low fuel consumption. Able to start in cold weather.

Is it worth buying?

Why exactly does the buyer choose Nissan Vanette?
Everything is very simple. The truck is ideal for transporting cargo up to 1 ton. Many versions have all-wheel drive. The car from Japan is a worthy competitor to such popular cars as Ford Transit Connect and Renault Traffic. The latter, by the way, are expensive in terms of spare parts for repairs, and they cost much more. The price tag for another analogue of Vanette - Toyota Hiace is quite high, so not every driver can buy such a vehicle. In turn, Toyota Town Ace is inferior to Nissan in terms of cargo compartment volume, as well as load capacity. In addition, the cost of the car is also higher. Thus, Bongo-Vanette is superior to its analogues in many respects.

It is better to purchase a cargo or cargo-passenger Nissan in Vladivostok. Available equipment in the Far Eastern city is cheaper, is in more or less acceptable condition, and has a lower mileage. You can also find interesting options in Novosibirsk or Barnaul, where you can easily purchase an all-wheel drive five-door car produced in 2004 for 340-370 thousand rubles.

On the secondary market you can easily find cars with a mileage of about 100 thousand kilometers, which is not much for a used car. Such vehicles, as a rule, belong to the year 2006-2007. The cost is naturally higher - about 450 thousand rubles.

Minibus at work

Vanetta's professional aptitude is excellent. For example, sliding doors on both sides installed on a minibus greatly simplify loading. Boxes and drawers can be removed from any position without any problems. The doors, including the back one, are quite wide. The ability to lift 1 ton of payload on board is undoubtedly pleasing. Although the minibus does not “tear” from its place, it moves confidently. The short wheelbase allows for successful maneuvers in confined spaces. The only thing that slightly darkens the situation is the stiff suspension, which, along with the short wheelbase, creates problems when driving over speed bumps.

Maintainability

It doesn’t matter whether the engine consumes gasoline or diesel, the Vanetta is reliable. Most users respond positively. Families with children (in the case of a minibus) and entrepreneurs (cargo-passenger and cargo transportation) are especially pleased with the “bus”. Nissan Vanette requires standard maintenance. Periodically, due to mileage, the starter fails. Similarly, the timing belt may need to be replaced.

It is quite possible to find a fully contract power unit on the used market for a reasonable price. Moreover, sellers, if necessary, organize delivery to regions of the country. Moreover, all engines are documented, time is allocated to check their performance, and the product is tested before shipping. As a rule, the kit includes the necessary attachments, including power steering, starter, turbine, scythe, generator and air conditioning pump. The exception is the presence of a gearbox, the presence of which significantly affects pricing.

Other problems and malfunctions

The body is not prone to corrosion, but age takes its toll. When examining the oldest cars, you may notice “bubbling” of the coating on the trunk lid, wheel arches and chrome elements.

After 150-200 thousand km, sometimes the fuel gauge needle begins to “fib”. Sometimes the sensor itself is to blame, but more often it’s all about the control unit for measuring instruments and climate control. It is he who is responsible for processing the signal from the sensor. The disease is eliminated by soldering the contacts.

The air conditioning compressor may fail after 150-200 thousand km. For a new one you will have to pay about 30,000 rubles.

Quite often problems arise with door locks, especially the driver's door. The lock stops opening from the outside. The reason is wear of the activator, motor or gears. The functionality of the lock can be restored by replacing faulty elements.

Over time, the back of the driver's seat begins to play. Fortunately, the disease is treated quite simply.
