And it’s not so much the appearance of water and dirt in the tank that is scary, since good filters in cars clean diesel fuel, but low-quality fuels and lubricants at the chemical level. Due to their use, the injectors are not lubricated and become unusable.
Troubles on the road, of course, can happen. And this depends not so much on the manufacturer and design features, but on the operation. Overloads, untimely maintenance. This is still a piece of equipment, and according to the regulations, maintenance must be carried out every 20,000 kilometers. But since the car has a diesel engine, and the quality of our fuel is not good at all gas stations, it is better to change the oil and filters after 10,000 kilometers.
While the car is under warranty, it is not recommended to disassemble components and assemblies. As for operation in severe frosts, it is better to optionally install a pre-starting autonomous liquid heater. Then, even after standing in a field for a week at -35 °C and with a charged battery, the engine can be started,” says Denis Dobrynin.
