The MKSM-800 loader is a multi-purpose municipal construction machine, ideal for moving and loading soil (bulk materials), leveling terrain, drilling wells, digging trenches, clearing areas of debris and snow, and transport and storage operations with single loads.
Model MKSM-800 is a product of CHETRA. Thanks to its small dimensions and versatility, this loader efficiently and quickly performs large volumes of work in cramped conditions (alleys, city streets, markets, parking lots), where it is impractical to use conventional municipal equipment. MKSM-800 fits into openings 1.8 m wide and 2.1 m high, which again allows it to be used for maintaining pedestrian paths and sidewalks, landscaping and road maintenance. The model is distinguished by high speed and performance.

It is no coincidence that special equipment is called multifunctional. Thanks to a wide range of replaceable equipment, MKSM-800 is used to perform a variety of tasks. Moreover, you can equip the equipment with the necessary device in a matter of minutes, and the process itself does not require the involvement of an experienced specialist. The loader operates both indoors and outdoors. Tests carried out by CHETRA before the start of serial production of the model showed its high efficiency when performing harvesting, repair and earth-moving work using a variety of equipment.
MKSM-800 is an ideal option when it is necessary to carry out basic or auxiliary work, but there is not enough space for large-sized and powerful equipment. A small loader pays for itself quite quickly, often being more cost-effective than larger models.
MKSM-800 turns almost in one place and smoothly changes speed thanks to the presence of a volumetric hydraulic drive and the possibility of stepless speed switching. Operating the loader is extremely simple. All operations are carried out using a pair of joysticks located on the side panels.
This model, in comparison with analogues, has the following distinctive features:

Until recently, CHETRA offered customers two modifications of MKSM-800, differing in indexes. The MKSM-800K model was equipped with a Cummins (or John Deere) diesel unit, the MKSM-800N version was equipped with a Hatz engine. Now A-series loaders are again available on the market, having received design changes. New modifications have a welded frame, and the gear drive of the pump has disappeared. To optimize the launch of the power plant at sub-zero temperatures, a clutch is installed in the MKSM-800A models.
The latest modification of the loader was the MKSM-800A-1 version, which debuted at the YugBuild-2013 exhibition. This model received pneumatic wheels with tubeless tires and a modified suspension.
Original design and interior
After studying the modern market of foreign loaders, manufacturers of construction and municipal equipment have developed new models of CHETRA MKSM mini-loaders marked “A” and with a load capacity of 800, 1000 and 1200 kilograms. The design of the new loaders is developed taking into account modern technologies and innovative solutions.
The MKSM-800A-1 mini-loader is equipped with chain final drives with a mounted hydraulic motor drive in the power frame structure. EATON hydraulic pumps, installed on the engine via a clutch, form the basis of the loader's power unit. The machine frame is equipped in such a way that the external tanks serve as chassis support frames allowing the installation of any motor. The engine starts even at low air temperatures. A three-year warranty is installed on the hydraulic system with modern components.
Loaders are designed in such a way that they can have two types of control: mechanical - through cable drives using a joystick, or electro-hydraulic - through a joystick controller.
The all-metal loader cabin has glued glass that meets the requirements for safe operation. The cabin is a kind of unified unit with the ability to install the entire CHETRA model range, which does not require additional modifications.
Specifications
MKSM-800 is equipped with an economical unit with a specific fuel consumption of 220 (161.8) g/kW per hour (g/hp per hour). The loader accelerates to 10 km/h, and its fuel tank holds 55 liters of fuel. The height of the machine is 2065 mm, length – 2480 mm, width – 1680 mm.

Removable work equipment
The MKSM 1000N and MKSM 800 loaders can have various types of removable equipment. The following can be used for the Chetra loader: a quarry bucket with a volume of 0.46 m³ and a width of 173 cm. The bucket is equipped with teeth on the cutting edge. It is used for loading ground materials: crushed stone, crushed stone, etc.
The blade has a width of 220 cm and ensures clearing of roads and areas from snow and debris. Using a rotary blade, you can fill trenches and level the territory.
Load forks have a working width from 23 to 155 cm and an unloading height of 3 m. The forks are used to move containers with building materials and equipment in warehouses and construction sites. Forks with a grip of 162 cm and a lifting height of 3 m are used to move branches of cut trees, straw, and construction waste. The pin has a lifting height of 3 m and a length of 98 cm. It is designed for moving rolled loads (paper, wire, rope, etc.).
The boom has a lifting height of 3 m, a length of 98 cm and is designed to lift heavy loads up to 800 kg using a hook. The drilling equipment is designed for drilling wells in the ground with a diameter of 20-40 cm and a depth of 1.5-2 m.
The hydraulic hammer has an impact power of 480 J and is used for crushing stone, rock, concrete and asphalt. The road brush has a 155 cm grip and a 200 liter water tank. With the help of such equipment you can water and sweep streets, sidewalks, playgrounds and parks with hard surfaces.
A 2 m wide sweeper sweeps roads and areas, as well as areas in hard-to-reach places, such as paths near fences and curbs.
RPM-4 is a spreader with a 0.4 m³ hopper. He sprinkles roads covered with ice with special anti-icing materials. The width of the treated surface ranges from 3 to 15 m.
The snow blower for the Chetra loader has a working width of 172 cm and a throw range of up to 5 m. It is used for clearing snow from roads, squares and other areas.
The concrete mixer has a volume of 250 liters and prepares concrete mixture at the construction site.
A ripper with an immersion depth of 24 cm and a working width of 90 cm is mounted on the rear suspension. It is used to loosen the soil in fields before sowing, in park areas.
Engine
The most common versions of MKSM-800 are with 2 types of engines (American company John Deere and German company Hatz). However, some modifications of the loader are equipped with a Slovak Zetor engine. All the above engines are 4-stroke diesel (3-cylinder or 4-cylinder).
Versions with a John Deere unit are especially effective in regions with hot and dry climates. This motor has a liquid cooling system and a pre-heater, which allows it to be used at temperatures from -20 to +50 degrees. Now a similar modification of MKSM-800 is produced exclusively to order. The power of the John Deere engine is 36 (48) kW (hp), the engine life is 8000 hours.
The Hatz 3M41 engine is the most common in MKSM-800 models and has a number of advantages. Its service life is 18,000 hours, which is significantly more than its analogues. The air cooling used in the Hatz 3M41 does not require the installation of radiators and the use of coolants, which reduces maintenance intervals and operating costs. The motor is protected from violations of operating conditions by a specialized system that automatically turns it off when the pressure drops or the belt breaks. The Hatz 3M41 has a power of 36.9 (50) kW (hp). The German engine operates at temperatures from -20 to +50 degrees.
The main advantage of the Zetor 5201.22 motor is its considerable cost. again, the Slovak unit is equipped with pre-heating, which makes starting easier at low temperatures. This allows it to work even at -45 degrees. However, the service life of the Zetor 5201.22 is only 5000 hours.
During previous modifications, it was also improved, but those changes concerned mainly the internal filling of the car. Over all the years of production of the Emkesemka, the angular silhouette of the cabin and the semicircular aluminum window have become easily recognizable exterior details. But over time, they too became an eyesore, becoming a kind of anachronism.
Probably, in the absence of competition, this car would still be produced to this day with all its shortcomings - with minimal changes. But in recent years, numerous alternative options have begun to appear - from a variety of manufacturers. Among them are more expensive loaders – “stuffed” with modern technical solutions and electronic options.
In addition, after some time, offers appeared from Chinese manufacturers who, being in a similar price range, had some advantages in certain parameters. It was in this situation that the next modification MKSM-800A-1 appeared.
First of all, there are noticeable changes in the exterior of the updated loader. The cabin is no longer as sharp-angled as before, having a more rounded appearance. This feature also made it possible to make a small design improvement - a small window appeared in the upper front part of the cabin, which helps when unloading the maximum raised bucket. The window is made in such a way that it is protected from damage by a protective lattice canopy.
The glazing of the cabin of the new car is glued into the window openings. The cabin's load-bearing frame is strengthened through the use of solid-drawn beams instead of stamped-welded ones.
The frame of the side windows is now painted in the color of the cabin and does not look like an alien part unscrewed from some other car. In turn, the exterior rear-view mirrors have been improved, which look much more harmonious than before. The halogen headlights next to the mirrors have also received a modernized look and are complemented by two more halogens located on top of the cabin - under the visor. There is one halogen lamp at the rear of the loader.
At the entrance to the cabin there are two steps that prevent your feet from slipping. One of them is located near the cabin, and the other - in the form of a corrugated plate - on the upper surface of the bucket. The one that is welded onto the bucket is shifted to the inside - towards the door, and therefore is more convenient when leaving the cab. There are handles outside and inside the cabin, which makes getting in and out of the cabin much easier.
But the most pleasant surprise awaits inside the loader cabin. First of all, it is the light plastic cladding of the interior, which noticeably modernizes the appearance. Here you can see a developed ventilation and heating system, the deflectors of which are evenly distributed over the entire area of the cabin. Some of the instruments are located on the sides near the loader control handles. But in the upper front part - above the front window - there are also switches and indicator lamps responsible for lighting, windshield wipers and other loader systems.
For the safety of the operator, the cab is equipped with a safety bar equipped with two gas stops that fix it in the lower position and facilitate its lifting. When the arc is fixed in the lower position, the limit contactless switch is activated, releasing the locking of the working equipment. To ensure comfortable work for the operator, the seat has a wide range of adjustments for longitudinal movement.
The machine is controlled using two joysticks, one of which controls the movements of the loader itself, the other controls the manipulation of the boom and bucket. The control movements of the joysticks are transmitted with a minimum number of intermediate parts - through a cable drive.
The power unit is a four-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel CUMMINS A2300 with a power of 48 hp. If maintenance is required, access to the engine and attachments can be gained by opening the engine compartment door and the top cover above it.
The engine is rigidly connected to the pump unit through a friction clutch. The drive circuit of the units includes a minimum number of pipelines, since the hydraulic pump is installed directly on the clutch housing - without the use of a gear drive of the pumps. The final drive includes a final drive with chains and sprockets instead of spur gears, a bevel gear with a circular tooth, and rolling bearings. The machine used a welded frame with integrated final drives and tanks, which are also elements of the load-bearing frame. The maximum speed of this machine is 10 km/h.
The boom beams are made of rectangular profile. The set of replaceable equipment for the MKSM-800 mini-loader is traditionally extensive: a standard and quarry bucket, a rotary blade, drills of 4 diameters, cargo forks, a road brush, an excavator, a trencher, a ripper, a load boom, a concrete mixer, a snow blower and a number of other attachments. For this reason, a wide range of buyers become owners of such machines: city utilities, construction and agricultural enterprises. Mini loaders especially reveal their full potential when working in cramped conditions - on construction sites of various sizes. Due to its small dimensions and versatility, MKSM-800 can be used in narrow passages and openings up to 2.1 meters wide.
During the familiarization, the loader demonstrated good control settings - precise and smooth movements of the boom and bucket can be achieved without much difficulty. Among the disadvantages, we can mention only slightly higher forces that need to be applied on the joysticks.
In general, the MKSM-800A-1 mini-loader shows improved properties both in terms of operating comfort, design and ergonomics. We can say that this machine, after modernization, more fully meets the requirements of today.

MKSM-800 is equipped with hydraulic systems produced at enterprises located in Kovrov, Pargolovo or Salavat. Their only difference is the method of removal of wear products.
CHETRA's loader is valued for its versatility. The model works with 17 types of attachments: a road brush, a snow blower, a unit for spreading anti-ice materials, a rotary blade and other devices. The equipment can be changed in a matter of minutes using a quick-release clamp. No specialized tools are required.
Vertical lift
The main tool of the mini-loader is the boom, and in the new configuration it has undergone significant changes, primarily in the kinematics of movement itself.
The modified boom provides the bucket with a vertical direction of movement, thereby increasing the maximum lift height by 60 centimeters and creating a 20 percent increase in lifting capacity compared to the previous version. Both indicators have a significant impact on operational efficiency and even the scope of application: thanks to the expanded range of capabilities, vertical lift loaders are ideal for use when loading dump trucks and other machines whose bodies have extended sides.
The vertical lifting boom also gives skid steers extra stability and speeds up the work process, making them especially attractive for complex, maneuverable and time-sensitive tasks.
To strengthen and enhance the functions of the fundamentally new boom, there is an additional innovation in the form of a cross beam at the rear of the loader. In addition, the changed design has allowed manufacturers to move quick-release connections from the bottom to the boom itself, making it easier to connect the attachment.

The all-metal operator's cabin of the MKSM-800 deserves special attention. It is hinged to the frame using silent block connections. It can be folded back and fixed for servicing the units and components of the loader. The door forms the front wall of the operator's cabin, with clothes hangers installed on the sides. Inside the operator's cab there is a sprung seat that can move longitudinally. Next to it is the washer reservoir. The operator's cabin contains all controls and devices, as well as indicators and instrumentation. There is also a box for accessories and tools. The front window of the operator's cab provides excellent visibility and is cleaned by a windshield wiper driven blade. The glass at the back serves as an emergency exit, and on the side there are windows with windows. Modern thermal insulation and a powerful heater maintain the required temperature in the forklift operator's cabin. Additionally, a dust separator fan is installed, which reduces the level of dust in the operator's cabin. By replacing windows and doors with protective grilles, the MKSM-800 operator's cabin can be transformed into a lightweight version. The safety belt and bar, safety bars and door locking feature ensure operator safety.
