Let's start with the fact that there is a distinction between low-bed semi-trailers with a flat loading platform located above the wheels, and with a reduced height of the loading platform, in which the distance from the ground to the upper plane of the platform is less than the diameter of the wheel. The loading height of such a platform may be minimal, which makes it possible to transport large loads, and may be higher than that of some trailers and semi-trailers with a frame located above the wheels. It all depends on the diameter of the tires being installed. Semi-trailers with a low platform height are used mainly for transporting equipment, as well as for large divisible and indivisible cargo, pipes, etc. The dimensions of the cargo are limited by the length of the cargo platform. Due to the low ground clearance under the platform (here it is, the other side of the coin), the use of such semi-trailers may be limited to public roads and specially prepared technological roads. Semi-trailers with a flat platform have a wider application, since a long, flat platform makes it possible to transport longer, and with triple telescoping, even extra-long loads. Such semi-trailers are also used to transport standard 20- and 40-foot containers.

In addition to the basic, fundamental designs of a low-bed heavy-duty semi-trailer - sliding or monoblock, with a flat platform or with a lowered one, with a detachable gooseneck and front entry or with a non-detachable one and entry via rear ramps - the manufacturer provides various additional equipment: cargo platform extenders, bunks, removable sides, container locks. The semi-trailer has double tires with wheels measuring 235/75 R17.5 141 J, approach angle 16° and working braking system with EBS from Wabco. The length of the platform in the retracted position is 15,700 mm, in the extended position – 23,700 mm. The first three axles are unsteered, the last two are self-aligning, or self-steering. A Jost kingpin with a diameter of 88.9 mm is used for connection to the tractor. The platform is equipped with retractable extensions and spring assistants for raising and lowering the ramps. Additionally, the plant offers sliding bunks for transporting pipes with a diameter of up to 1420 mm.

Another sliding low-bed heavy truck ChMZAP 99905 according to specification 010 with a reinforced frame with a lifting capacity of 80 tons is designed for transporting equipment and various self-supporting loads. The peculiarity of this seven-axle semi-trailer is that in the extended position it can transport indivisible cargo up to 30 m long. The length of the loading platform is 11.3 m in the extended position, and 26.3 m in the extended position - the designers used double telescoping of 7.5 m each section with an extension step of 1 m. The width of the platform with the extensions folded out is 3.25 m. Equipment can also enter the platform via rear folding two-stage ramps, while the stability of the semi-trailer is ensured by hydraulic supports. The first axis of this trawl is self-aligning, the second is unsteered, the third to seventh axles are with forced steering. Forced control occurs automatically when the road train turns. When performing complex maneuvers, the operator can control the trawl from a remote control panel connected to the semi-trailer.

The next heavy-duty semi-trailer is ChMZAP 99903-035-T with a sliding frame, which replaced the sliding heavy truck ChMZAP 93371-010 on a spring suspension with unsteered axles. In general, the model range is represented by three-, four-, five-, six- and seven-axle semi-trailers, which can transport indivisible cargo from 15 to 20 m (beams, tanks, bridge structures, etc.).

The most critical parts of the frame are made of high-strength fine-grained steel. The ChMZAP 99903-035-T configuration uses BPW air suspension, which ensures a uniform load, the first three axles are unsteered, the last is self-aligning. The semi-trailer has a changed gooseneck part, and in general the updated design corresponds to modern trends in the development of trailed equipment, which was presented by European manufacturers at recent international exhibitions.

The multi-axle ChMZAP 99903-035-T has a lifting capacity of 51,500 kg in the retracted position, and 43,500 kg in the extended position. The weight of the equipped semi-trailer is 15,500 kg, the load on the trailer hitch is 23,000 kg in the retracted position, 19,000 kg in the extended position. The length of the loading platform is 10,040 mm when extended, increasing to 17,040 mm. The platform is equipped with retractable extensions. For ease of use, the gander is equipped with an awning.
