Vehicle equipment
The car with a double cab (the model is designated UAZ-236324 for 4x4 and 236323 for 4x2) is offered in a standard version, including:
- rear-view mirrors with electric drives and heating;
- headlights with daytime running lights;
- elements for fixing the load on the platform;
- storage compartments in the cabin and handrails above the doors;
- driver airbag;
- ABS system with electronic brake force distribution (introduced as standard equipment from October 2022);
- electronic immobilizer and central locking;
- 4x4 all-wheel drive system;
- steering column with adjustment in 2 directions;
- electric window drives and on-board computer.
The vehicle's equipment includes mirrors and headlights, elements for securing the load.
Stretched the frame
The extended version of the UAZ Profi Polutorka allows the installation of 4-meter superstructures. The frame was stretched with inserts in the middle and in the rear overhang area. With a standard HBO, a cylinder of 150 liters fits instead of 100 for a regular Pro. They do not ask for additional payment for this.
But for the relatively standard car itself you need to pay an additional 45,000 rubles: prices start at 1,025,000 versus 980,000 rubles.
With gable wheels, the UAZ Profi Polutorka began to look different. The behavior of the vehicle with a load has improved.

Dark story
The overall positive impression from Pro was spoiled by the penultimate day. At one of the traffic lights, a truck driver who came alongside me warned me that the brake lights were not working. I hobbled home extremely carefully, manually turning on the rear fog light at every braking point.
Inspection of the rear optics was shocking: six unlit bulbs! Not only were the brake lights missing, but also both side lights, the left reverse light and one license plate light. I didn’t check the performance of the last two when I received the UAZ, but the rest were definitely in order.
It’s hard to believe that after a mileage of 5,000 km, light bulbs can die from natural causes. I decided to call the service, but first I armed myself with a screwdriver and dissected the lights. The conspiracy theory failed - the lamps really just burned out. This quality of components is a shame.
Increased carrying capacity
According to the documents, the total weight remained the same - 3500 kg, under category B license. In light of the fact that Moscow has tightened the ban on the movement of heavier vehicles, the idea is correct.
But not everything is so simple: although the total permissible load on the front axle decreased from 2570 to 1950 kg, it increased from 2570 to 3700 kg on the rear axle. As a result, the maximum wheel load increased from 5140 to 5550 kg.
At the front there is a suspension on four trailing arms, shock absorbers are inside the springs.

Exterior
The UAZ Profi with an all-metal van has a strict and practical body: the front bumper is made of unpainted black plastic, so it is not susceptible to minor damage. The following elements attract attention in the exterior:
- stylish headlights complemented by daytime running lights;
- a radiator grille integrated into the front bumper and wheel arch extensions made of black plastic;
- large exterior mirrors in a plastic case, heated and electrically adjustable.
In the Comfort version, the car is equipped with fog lights.
Safety
Safety as standard.
- For the first time, a domestic truck is equipped with an airbag!
- 3-point seat belts for second-row passengers
- ISOFIX mountings for installing child seats on the second row
- ABS system (anti-lock braking system)
- EBD (Brake Force Distribution) System
- Seat belt height adjustment
- Programmable hood deformation zone upon impact - increased safety in frontal collisions
- Hood arrangement psychological protection of the driver and passengers
Full speed ahead!
The road to the unloading site is good, but the site itself has not yet been improved - it is clayey, with obvious ruts from other trucks. As soon as he stepped on it, Pro stood up, because the tires of the Kama I-359 instantly became washed out. The conclusion is not new: the rear-wheel drive Pro is unsuitable for use outside of asphalt.
I turn on the rear differential lock (option for 38,900 rubles). There is progress, but little. The UAZ is trying to move, but there is an equally slippery surface under both wheels - and it turns out badly. The clay is quite hard, and the Pro would rather rock out rather than sit down completely. And yet, blocking is only a half-measure.
Interior
The well-thought-out ergonomics of the UAZ Profi two-row cabin provides comfort for the driver and passengers. The five-seater model received high-quality finishing and improved sound insulation. In addition, an expanded range of additional options is available to customers. The following details attract attention in the interior:
- heated driver's seat with adjustable lumbar support;
- adjustable steering wheel for reach and height;
- ergonomic dashboard with convenient layout of controls;
- multimedia system with a 7” display and the ability to install a navigator;
- electric windows;
- air conditioner.
For added comfort, there are various compartments for small items.
Soft character
The rear suspension does not irritate with “bumping”, and the car goes over bumps very smoothly. When turning, there is absolutely no feeling that the light stern could be moved outward. Even speed bumps don’t force an iron orchestra to play from the sides and arches of the van.
Sound insulation for a domestic commercial vehicle is more than decent. With one exception. There is no electronic speed limiter in the Pro, but there is... an acoustic one: after 95 km/h the transfer case makes such a rattling sound throughout the entire cabin that you involuntarily slow down. And this is not the traditional howl of the unit, but the efforts of the lever: it itches louder than everything that is located under the floor. Did anyone expect something different from the UAZ transmission?
You can’t do without steering, but the Pro doesn’t deserve the title of “barge.” True, there is one nuance. Before the car was given to me, it was driven to the alignment/camber stand. For a UAZ with a mileage of barely 4,000 km, this is apparently the norm. At the end of our week together, the steering wheel began to skew slightly, hinting that the next adjustment was just around the corner.
