Purpose

Fire ladder AL-50 (65115) is intended for:

  • delivery of combat crews and the necessary fire-technical weapons and equipment to a height of up to 50 meters to the site of rescue, fire-fighting and emergency restoration work;
  • ensuring the possibility of effectively carrying out rescue and emergency recovery operations and extinguishing fires at height;
  • supply of fire extinguishing agents from the top of the stairs.

Only specially trained personnel who have thoroughly studied and mastered all the rules for handling the fire ladder and impeccably follow them are allowed to operate and maintain the fire truck AL-50 (KAMAZ-65115).

The principle of operation of the fire ladder is to deliver the boom or cradle to the required point in space within the working area.

In addition, the load capacity of the chassis and the dimensions of the ladder truck must be such that their maneuverability in urban areas is not limited and it is possible to install and maneuver near objects near which there are no asphalt concrete pavements. In general, the vast majority of owners are satisfied with the car. Exactly “in general”: there are plenty of minor flaws in assembly and quality. But the cost of the KamAZ-65115 dump truck is much cheaper than its foreign counterparts. Some people describe the Cummins engine as capricious and unreliable. At the same time, there are many owners who have driven over two hundred thousand kilometers on it without a single problem and continue to use it. It is definitely more nimble and economical than the “native” KamAZ unit. The main thing is proper care, regular oil and filter changes on time.

The dump truck's cross-country ability is in perfect order, as is its maneuverability. The platform is designed for 10-12 cubes, depending on how it is loaded - into the sides or with a “head”. The interior is quite comfortable for a car of this class. But the panel and shelf begin to rattle pretty quickly. Other shortcomings include: lack of crankcase protection (you have to make it yourself), poor quality of body painting.

The body begins to bloom with rust already in the first months of operation, and then the rust only increases, despite careful handling. The paint begins to peel off, plus the metal itself from which the body is welded is not of the best quality: dents regularly appear on it.

Some owners criticize KamAZ's decision to hang the spare wheel on the frame at the rear: in bad road conditions, it begins to “rakes up” the soil. From the point of view of such people, it would be better to place the spare tire behind the cab. Moreover, there is a place for this. Some people moved the spare wheel from the frame to the place between the cab and the body on their own.

Car device

KamAZ-65115 has a standard layout for this class of vehicles, which is characterized by a strong steel frame; roomy body; twin wheeled chassis; cabin located above the engine. The frame is assembled from side members with a metal profile height of 280 mm, reinforced with durable steel plates.

The document itself consists of the following main points that must be followed:

  • In order to ensure the operability of the fire hydraulic structure, it must be stored in a heated garage, at a temperature of at least 5 degrees Celsius.
    But at the same time, the system must always remain in combat readiness - be properly equipped with equipment and filled with fuel and lubricants. After returning the vehicle from the mission, it is necessary to check all the parts of the fire escape, as well as clean, wipe and lubricate them
  • After each fire response or training session, the ladder truck must be cleaned, wiped and lubricated in accordance with the lubrication chart.
    It is also necessary to check the structure for serviceability of the contactors, components and hydraulic system. If a break is found on the cables, they must be urgently replaced. When parked in a garage, the structure must be kept in perfect condition.
  • The approach of the ladder truck to the site should be carried out in such a way that the system can be unhindered. At the same time, the higher the ladder needs to be raised, the closer it must be to the object being served.
  • It is not allowed to work on a structure if its platform has an angle of inclination to the horizon of more than 6 degrees.
    In this case, you need to ensure that the rear wheels of the vehicle do not end up on the roof of mines, fire wells, in trenches, unstable soil, and so on (see photo). Before lifting the device, the driver must ensure that the machine is securely and stable in place.
  • Before preparing for work, you need to tighten the handbrake of the fire truck and lower the support cheeks. The structure should be controlled using handles and handwheels on the remote control.
  • The first maneuver of the ladder is considered to be its growth, since in the vehicle transport position all remaining movements are blocked.
    A fire truck equipped with a hydraulic ladder system must always be in good working order.
  • The most serious movement of the structure is considered to be the extension of the knees to the desired height.
    The first knee spread should be performed at low speed. After the top of the stairs reaches the maximum level, the knees must be placed on the locks and the car engine must be turned off. Before ascending and descending a ladder, firefighters must ensure that it is securely fixed to the wall.
