Suspension and chassis. Brake system

The front spring suspension of the KamAZ model 53229 is equipped with an anti-roll bar, which increases the angular stiffness of the suspension, while reducing the roll angle of the sprung part of the vehicle under the action of lateral (lateral) force, and improves the stability of the vehicle.   10. If a folding body is installed on the KamAZ-53229 chassis, safety rules for operation include the following points:
  • It is prohibited to drive with a raised platform;
  • Full loading of the body must be done in a fully lowered position;
  • the platform should be unloaded on a flat surface, and the cargo (sand, crushed stone and other bulk materials) should be completely poured out;

Depreservation

Before starting to operate a new vehicle, or after a long period of inactivity, KamAZ must be properly reactivated. For this:

  1. remove seals from door handles, window locks and ventilation hatches;
  2. carefully remove grease from all machine mechanisms, and also peel off the film from glass, sockets, covers and other parts;
  3. Activate the batteries by filling with electrolyte;
  4. test electrical circuits for the presence of electric current;
  5. fill the fuel tank with diesel, the engine crankcase with engine oil, and also fill in the coolant;
  6. after all the above manipulations, it is necessary to start the engine and check whether it is running stably;
  7. Check the serviceability of the lifting and lowering mechanisms of the cab and vehicle platform.

To increase the service life of the engine and other important components of the car, the manufacturer recommends that during the first 1000 km of a new car, do not operate it in difficult conditions and do not exceed a speed of 50 km/h.

Engine

The V-shaped 8-cylinder diesel engine of our own production KAMAZ 740.51-240 was used as the “heart” of the KamAZ 53229 truck. This is a highly efficient and trouble-free diesel unit, developed by the designers of the Kama Automobile Plant, which is equipped with a turbocharger and also has a unique air cooling system.

Characteristics of the KamAZ 53229 power unit include:

The maximum speed of the truck reaches 80 km/h. In addition, the car is capable of conquering slopes with an angle of 25%.

In summer, a car consumes about 30 liters of fuel for every 100 kilometers. In winter, this figure increases to 35 liters of diesel fuel, which can be explained by the need to preheat the engine.

How to start it correctly

The starting of the KamAZ engine is affected by the thermal state and ambient temperature. To start a car correctly, you need to adhere to some principles:

  • start the heat transfer pump and bleed the fuel supply system until the injection pump bypass valve opens;
