Ambulance vehicle Sobol Business

Ambulance based on a Gazelle car

Gazelle is a universal mobile medical unit. Its main function is to provide qualified medical care to patients, regardless of conditions, transport the patient to the hospital and support him during transportation.

Important! Modern ambulance based on the Gazelle is not only a worthy competitor to its foreign analogues, but also surpasses them in many indicators (price and technical).

This is one of the most popular models used by most Russian medical institutions. And domestic emergency vehicles differ only in their equipment.

Moreover, you can buy Gazelle ambulance from us, either with any basic component or for individual orders.

However, each machine is required to be equipped with additional electrical equipment:

  • battery;
  • control panel;
  • converter 12/220 Volt;
  • external connection socket.

Thus, the patient’s vital activity will be maintained for a long time, regardless of any external factors.

In addition, the professional medical vehicle - the Gazelle ambulance, in addition to equipping it with modern medical equipment and the necessary devices, has a lot of undeniable advantages:

  • comfort for staff and patients - soft and comfortable folding seats, structural stretchers, cabinets for medicines, washbasin with built-in water tanks, etc.;
  • the presence of a ventilation hatch - an emergency exit in case of an accident;
  • excellent heat and sound insulation of the interior;
  • easy-to-maintain non-slip waterproofed floor covering;
  • the presence of special steps for more accessible and convenient entry into the cabin;
  • powerful speaker and lighting, plus a powerful exterior light over the sliding door;
  • Convenient maintenance due to the presence of a special tool box and spare wheel.

Moreover, the specialized Gazelle ambulance is designed in such a way that every thing in it has its own specific place.

New ASMP Sobol 4x4

Photo report testing a new ambulance.

Last year we received the keys to the brand new Sobol 4X4 ASMP. The car is already in a hurry to reach the patients, although it’s worth mentioning right away that the car entered the line wearing its original “summer boots” Cordiant Off Road.

The inventory numbers on the new installations have not yet been completed, but the oxygen cylinders have been filled, the necessary equipment has been serviced, and the excess has been removed. And here are the first impressions! As Henry Ford said, “The best car is a new car!” It's a pity that what's new at the plant, created with the support of Ford, is not always better than the previous one. But positive dynamics are still visible in many respects!

Let's start with the appearance

Now there are no turn signals on the mirrors, but there are fog lights. It's a pity that the side light above the sliding door is so fixed to the plastic roof that it is very vulnerable to branches. However, like the rear glass beacons. Some 15 years ago it was better. But the flashlight itself is bright LED!

Let's go into the cabin of the new car

...and we will be surprised by the layout of the space. The chairs have two non-adjustable armrests, but the back, although theoretically adjustable, rests against the wall, which does not add comfort. The passenger seat is moved away from the right door to prevent the movement of personnel through the provided sliding door into the sanitary compartment. In addition, I was unable to fasten the seat belt the first time and even while exhaling (though, for the sake of objectivity, I must say that we don’t use them at all). The huge handbrake and transfer case levers also hinder the passage, but one of the advantages is the convenient LED lighting of the cabin.

Now the sanitary module itself!

The railing is located quite high above the stretcher. The gurney was a Chinese one, for transporting mostly fragile and cachectic patients, with a stated load of 180 kg, but we’ll talk about the gurney separately. The most noticeable advantage in the layout is the absence of a washbasin and wall-mounted AHPS. There was a safe, air conditioning, decent lighting, a very efficient stove, and it was turned on from the cabin, and not by the driver. There is an autonomous heater (never tested on previous Gazelles). A sunroof, a locker that can be locked with a key, and that’s probably all the advantages of the new product.

The disadvantages are more noticeable; if we omit the price (see appendix), we will start in order from the entrance.

I will say right away that I have no experience in operating foreign cars, and the car is used by a medical line team in a remote province. For some reason, the manufacturers abandoned the so familiar locker on the starboard side, which covered the wheel arch, which served the function of sound insulation and made it possible to accommodate 2-3 people with minimal comfort. Now there is an inconveniently located fire extinguisher and the handrail is missing.

The reclining chair has a 2-point harness, but I was unable to fit properly because my knees rested against the stretcher.

By moving the gurney all the way to the left side, I blocked access to the stowage under the table and to the safe (which, in principle, was never used, except when drug control commissions arrived).

Now we move smoothly to the supplied equipment. The most annoying thing is the price. In the “decaying West,” companies have been completing ambulances for decades, constantly checking the opinions of the teams working on these vehicles. We will buy unnecessary things from us for amounts many times greater than the necessary costs. Although employees' opinions are asked, they are not taken into account. My company has had a request for a pulse oximeter for more than six months, and now the long-awaited device is here! We received the Chinese mindray RM-60 with a stated cost of 31,000, and on the right in the photo the compact Oxy Watch is ten times cheaper.

Many resuscitators will say that the measurement error of these devices is different, but for a linear collective farm team, the readings of this equipment will not have clinical significance. Moreover, the functionality of an expensive device, such as plotting graphs or the ability to continuously monitor up to 168 hours, will not be used. But if you lose the child sensor, you will have to constantly wear a heavier and more expensive device.

I have no questions or complaints regarding the syringe pump supplied with the car for 63,250 rubles, since I have never used this device. The relevance of its application in our realities tends to zero.

What we actively use are means of transporting patients, and there was an abundance of this stuff in the car. There is a spinal shield, a heated stretcher, and a drag stretcher. The chairlift and gurney were very reminiscent of a “micromontage” product, of which all colleagues had the same impressions, namely a “rattle”. Without washing it or running it in, I had to play around with the stretcher to eliminate the excessive acoustic effect.

Let me make a reservation right away that everything was done “in haste,” without leaving the hospital and using scrap materials. So the quality of performance suffered, but it became quieter.

The defibrillator was given to DKI-11, in its simplest version with the AED function. I'll try to test everything as I go. I would really like to hear feedback from colleagues who have driven such cars. I am alarmed by the non-adjustable backrests of the seats, placed at 90 degrees; I think on a long trip (700 km) it will be difficult to find a volunteer in the department. I liked the OBR 15 irradiator (I didn’t take a photo). I was surprised that only one anti-epidemic suit “Sadolit - 1” was supplied

It was surprising how the marketing specialists of the Ministry of Health managed to purchase glucometers for 3,600 rubles, the red price of which on market day is at most 1,300.

I was surprised by the medical gas wiring kit with pressure indication. Just wondering who is interested in this option. Oxygen is either there or not, but the cost of CNG-2 is 68,750 rubles. Maybe it would be easier to choose a device. I (even though I am a certified manager) did not set out to analyze the honey market. equipment, and many prices on websites may not correspond to today's realities, I want to emphasize that some products (stretchers) turned out to be cheaper than in online stores, but this is not the entire list of supplied equipment. Having rounded up the difference obtained according to my very rough calculations, I received 165,000 rubles. Considering that more than a dozen similar cars have been produced in the region, costs are rising, but efficiency remains at the same minimum level.

Production of an ambulance based on GAZelle

It’s no secret that the most popular and widespread ambulances are those on the good old GAZelle chassis. The reasons for this popularity are the simplest: more favorable prices than for foreign cars, and adaptability to work on Russian roads. In fact, no matter how “native Russian” GAZelle is, it is able to easily overcome a road with bumps and potholes and at the same time quickly arrive at the place of call.

Types of ambulance GAZelle

A person, seeing a vehicle, determines by all its external signs that there is an ambulance in front of him. In fact, it is divided into three classes depending on its purpose, which we offer to our customers:

  • Class A - used by line services;
  • Class B - used for intensive care;
  • Class C - is a resuscitation vehicle for providing resuscitation measures.

Accordingly, the price for them increases depending on the total cost of the equipment installed in the medical staff salon. In addition, the final cost of the conversion also includes the characteristics of the technical equipment of the chassis, including the drive, engine and its cost.

Our company receives many requests from private clinics who want to convert GAZ into ambulances due to their interest in having their own fleet of special vehicles. In this case, we have a custom car manufacturing service. Based on the customer’s requests, a layout of the salon is established, how it will be equipped and with what medical equipment.

You can go into long discussions about what is preferable to buy - a GAZelle ambulance or an ASMP based on foreign cars, but nothing can refute the fact that it was our vehicles that saved many people and that they are reliable and practically trouble-free in operation.

It is possible to manufacture a car to order with the equipment you need, interior design and medical equipment.

Ambulances at the Healthcare forum - part two: Sobol-reanimobile, Lawn-FAP and others

In the first part of our review of medical vehicles on the Healthcare forum, we talked about manufacturers who actively work with equipment from foreign companies. Now let's talk in more detail about bodybuilders who mainly use domestic chassis as the basis for their cars.

The Medical Lawn is massive - pay attention to the brutal air conditioning box above the cabin

The fashion for mobile first aid stations, paramedic and obstetric stations, has been observed in medical circles for several years now. Such machines are transferred under government contracts to medical services in remote settlements that do not have permanent medical facilities. It is interesting that most manufacturers choose Lawn Next as a base for such equipment. The company Interautocenter from Nizhny Novgorod was no exception - its huge medical Lawn barely fit on the stand.

A large door with a low entrance is a convenient solution

Indeed, its body, made of sandwich panels, looks immense. A swing door leads inside. It is convenient that it is located low: the main staircase inside will remain clean. The salon is divided into three zones. To the right of the entrance there is a diagnostic room with a couch and a place for a doctor, in the central part there is a laboratory, in the stern there is a antenatal clinic room. A separate room is reserved for a bathroom with a dry closet.

The cabin is not cramped, there is LED lighting everywhere, there is also air conditioning and a powerful heating system. There is also a thermal curtain above the entrance. In general, the layout can be anything, as can the purpose of the cabinets. As for the cost, in the simplest version such a medical Lawn will cost about eight million rubles.

Well, the main products of the Interautocenter company are ordinary ambulances based on Gazelles. For example, this one is class B. Its interior has bright seat upholstery and aluminum furniture, light and durable. True, the overall good impression is blurred by some points - for example, the sliding lids of the cabinets at the top are a bit tight, and you can even cut yourself on the inner edges of the open niches. Moreover, the cost of such a car is not small: they will ask for at least 2.7 million rubles.

The modular body of the intensive care vehicle on the Nexta chassis is compact and neatly made

But for this money you can already buy a modular car - such cars are built on the Nexta chassis by the Promtekh plant, which now works together with the Schwabe medical company. I recently drove a similar linear ambulance around Nizhny Novgorod, and a similar ambulance was already presented at the exhibition.

The interior is spacious, and the furniture here is made of metal and plastic.

Actually, its body is made neatly - all the doors open softly, without requiring serious effort. The swinging side door, by the way, will soon be replaced by a sliding one. The interior is spacious. The lighting here is bright LED, and there is a window leading into the cabin. And yes, Promtech puts its own know-how on its cars - metal-plastic furniture: it turns out to be light, durable (sometimes even plays the role of a protective frame) and durable.

The resuscitation Sobol includes an electric lift and an anti-infective capsule on the stretcher.

And here is another Promtech ambulance - on a Sobol 4x4 all-wheel drive chassis. Of course, this “trolley” is already obsolete, but, alas, we produce very few budget light-duty vehicles with all-wheel drive - and the choice of chassis is extremely limited.

The Sobol's interior is also spacious - and there is a door to the cabin

Moreover, the body here is cool. This is also a module, but even more advanced - for example, the side door is equipped with a retractable step, the interior and cabin are connected by a sliding door, and an electric stretcher lift is installed at the rear (these are produced by the plant itself). In general, such a car is quite capable of replacing ancient medical “loaves” on routes with bad roads, especially since such a Sobol costs more or less reasonably - from 2.4 million rubles.

Promtech continues to modernize its enlarged Largus with a load-bearing body. Here, for example, is the Class B medical Prima with an updated design module. It has a new fairing, as well as rounded corners - it looks good.

A large swing door leads inside. Of course, there is less space inside than in a modular Gazelle, but the medical team will not be cramped. In addition, thanks to its small dimensions, this Largus makes it easier to maneuver in courtyards crowded with cars - which means that such an ambulance will be able to get to the patient faster. The price of such an ambulance is 2.1 million rubles.
