MAZ-MAN presented an interesting new product - a milk tanker road train according to European standards
JV CJSC "MAZ-MAN" manufactured, by order of one of the domestic creameries, a milk tanker, which can transport almost 25 "cubes" of a valuable product at a time. The new product meets strict European standards.
MAZ-MAN is developing new directions in the production of special equipment. Several years ago, the company began producing a full range of three-axle vehicles and trailers for forestry - now MAZ-MAN log trucks are among the most popular on the market. Last year, the joint venture began mass production of truck tractors with an 8x8 wheel arrangement - today these vehicles are in steady demand among oil and gas workers in Siberia. The production of milk tankers is another new direction in which JSC MAZ-MAN has seen great prospects for itself.
As the company told Autobusiness, the time-tested MAZ-MAN 632559 chassis with a 6x4 wheel arrangement was chosen as the basis for the new model of special equipment. It is equipped with an original MAN D2066LF44 diesel engine with a displacement of 10.5 liters and a maximum power of 440 hp. The gearbox is also German-made - manual 16-speed ZF 16S2220 TO. The rear bogie suspension is pneumatic.
The cabin is large with a low roof. One sleeping place is provided. The driver's seat is highly comfortable and has air suspension.
A tank was mounted on the chassis, which was manufactured by the Polish company PRO-WAM from the city of Koszalin. In fact, this is a huge thermos, consisting of three sections-vessels inside and an outer shell (shell). The material of vessels and pipelines is acid-resistant steel AISI 304 (thickness of walls and partitions - 2.5 mm). The tie strips and the outer shell of the tank are made of the same steel (but here the metal thickness is already 1.2-1.5 mm). The tank is thermally insulated over its entire surface. The outer surface is engraved.
The nominal capacity of the sections is 5.15/5.15/4.1 cubic meters. The total capacity of the tank is 14.4 cubic meters. Each section is provided with a hatch with a diameter of 500 mm. The manhole covers are equipped with hygienic air vent valves. They protect the tanks from vacuum and excess pressure, prevent milk from spilling out during movement and the penetration of contaminants.
The tank is unloaded by gravity (draining by gravity). The drainage from each section is independent (under each section there is a bottom valve). The drain pipes are insulated along their entire length and connected to a central manifold in a process compartment (cabinet), which is made of stainless steel and located at the rear of the tank.
Maintenance platforms with anti-slip coating and fencing are located on the right and left sides of the tank, equipped with stairs and handrails. The tank frame and supporting elements are made of galvanized steel. The joint between the frame and the chassis is elastic.
The weight of the tank vehicle in running order is no more than 13,200 kg. Total weight – no more than 35,000 kg. The car is equipped with an independent liquid engine heater and a Rockinger backlash-free hitch. Fuel tank capacity – 500 l.
The MAZ-MAN trailer model 880001 is equipped with a PRO-WAM tank of a similar design, but consisting of two sections with a capacity of 5.1 cubic meters each (total capacity - 10.2 cubic meters).
The trailer is equipped with BPW axles. The turntable and drawbar are made by Jost. The brake system is pneumatic, dual-circuit with Wabco pneumatic devices. The axles are equipped with ABS and EBS sensors.
The weight of the tank trailer in running order is no more than 4500 kg. Total weight – no more than 18,000 kg.
The MAZ-MAN milk tanker road train complies with safety and hygienic standards, EU standards, as well as ATP requirements (Agreement on the International Transport of Perishable Food Products and on Special Vehicles Designed for These Transports).
So, MAZ-MAN has set its sights on a new segment of the special equipment market. Although already developed areas provide the company with stable orders - production is fully loaded for several months in advance. Currently, JV MAZ-MAN CJSC produces dump trucks, off-road truck tractors, and a variety of log carriers (both on its own chassis and on the chassis of other manufacturers).
Last summer, at the Lesdrevtech-2021 exhibition, the company demonstrated the new MAZ-MAN 632A59 log carrier on the MAZ-631228 chassis with a 430-horsepower Weichai WP12.430E50 engine and a Palfinger Epsilon M100L97 hydraulic manipulator. Its load capacity is 17,500 kg.
And this is an all-wheel drive MAZ-MAN 636559 with a MAZ-MAN timber superstructure. The car is equipped with a 480-horsepower MAN D2676LF09 diesel engine and a Russian-made VM10L86 hydraulic manipulator (part of the Palfinger group of companies). The loading capacity of the log carrier is 22,500 kg. But it can also tow a MAZ-MAN 890001 trailer with a capacity of 44 cubic meters of assortment (its load capacity is 28,000 kg).
In addition, MAZ-MAN continues to produce front loaders. Moreover, the company’s product line includes three models – with a carrying capacity of 2000, 2500 and 3200 kg.
