But a new serial van from AvtoVAZ itself is gaining momentum - a cargo version of Lada Largus , capable of carrying a load of 2.5 cubic meters weighing up to 750 kg. There are no other transport variations yet, and the engine is only of lower power, but there are five equipment options. The share of this van in the family is already more than 10%, and together with VIS-Auto products, the Largus-van takes fifth place in the LCV market.

The other official choice of all-metal “heels” is for the European contingent. These are front-wheel drive models with a standard usable volume of just over 3.0 cubic meters and a load capacity of 700-800 kg. As a rule, there are versions with an extended base, with a high roof and combined (cargo-passenger) versions. But besides the general features, there are still individual differences regarding engines, equipment and actual cargo parameters.

In their original form, the European “heels” are ascetic in a working way: a simple interior, one pillow, ABS, basic power accessories, a cargo compartment without “major” finishing and additional side doors. Everything else: passenger airbag, on-board computer, audio system, air conditioning and other joys are all options.

The Ford Transit Connect looks special : only a 1.8-liter diesel engine, but in three power options, and the load capacity of these vans reaches up to 900 kg. The basic equipment includes not only an airbag and ABS, but also an audio system and pre-heater, and a sliding side door. True, the price for the car is higher than others (but lower than the diesel VW Caddy), and a new generation is already on the doorstep, designed in the style of the company’s new passenger models.
