    Tractor T-156

    The T-156 tractor is a wheeled, two-axle off-road transport vehicle with tires of the same size.

    The aggregation of the tractor with implements and industrial machines is ensured by the rear location of the diesel engine, the front location of the driver’s workplace, as well as the articulation of the semi-frame using a vertical hinge.

    The articulated joint increases the maneuverability of the tractor and simplifies the arrangement of drive axles with large diameter wheels.

    The front axle is rigidly attached to the front half-frame, and the rear axle is attached to the rear half-frame using balancers.

    The absence of a rigid connection between the rear axle and the frame improves traction when driving over sharply rough terrain by adapting the track to the track profile, and also increases the longitudinal stability of the tractor when excavating soil.

    The diesel engine, transmission, cabin, steering gear and control drives are located on the rear frame. The front half-frame contains a working equipment pump, a distributor and a tank with a filter. The lever-joint mechanism of a loader or bulldozer is attached to the side members of the semi-frame.

    The T-156 tractor is 70% unified with the base model T-150K, the T-150 tracked Tractor and the T-158 industrial tractor (see below).

    The unified components include diesel cooling and starting systems, wheels, stopping brakes, drive axles, final drives, steering, transfer case, cardan drives, as well as a number of gearbox parts, frames, workplace equipment, ventilation and heating systems and mechanisms diesel control.

    The T-156 tractor is equipped with a V-shaped six-cylinder water-cooled SMD-60 diesel engine, derated in rotation speed.

    The diesel engine is equipped with an air compressor, a single-cylinder carburetor starting engine with electric starter and a 400 W generator. The launch is controlled from the driver's cabin.

    To prepare the diesel engine for start-up in cold weather, it is equipped with a vapor-liquid gasoline heater PZHB-300.

    The tractor has a hydromechanical transmission.

    A three-wheel, single-stage integrated torque converter is attached to the diesel crankcase and, together with the gearbox and transfer case, forms a single power unit. The transformer is fed by a separate gear pump mounted on the transfer case.

    An independent PTO is constantly connected to the diesel engine inside the hollow turbine shaft. The oil circulating in the torque converter is cooled in a special radiator. A manual gearbox with constant mesh gears provides two forward gears and one reverse gear.

    Gear shifting is carried out by hydraulically controlled “personal” clutches.

    A transfer case is attached to the rear wall of the gearbox, designed to double the number of gears, turn off the rear axle, the hydraulic system pump of the working equipment, to drive the pump for the lubrication system of transmission and steering units, as well as to feed the transformer. The transmission lubrication system pump is constantly driven by an independent PTO.

    Cardan transmissions of open-type axles have hinges on needle bearings. The transmission to the rear axle consists of a double hinge and an intermediate support installed in the tractor frame tube.

    Wheel brakes of the T-156 tractor are shoe brakes with pneumatic drive. Floating type parking band brake. The wheel brake drum is installed on the rear axle drive shaft.

    The final drives are planetary with spur gears. The driving sun gear of the planetary mechanism is connected to the axle shaft of the bridge. The wheel hub is attached to the carrier.

    The drive axle consists of a pair of center gear bevel gears and a bevel differential.

    The tractor is equipped with a hydraulic system to control the mounted equipment. The hydraulic system includes an oil tank with a filter, an NSh-98 gear pump, a three-spool distributor and pipelines. The pump has a switchable PTO drive. One section of the distributor has four positions, the other two have three positions each. The distributor is controlled from the tractor driver's cab.

    For ease of arrangement of working equipment and shortening of pipelines, all units of the hydraulic system are located on the front half-frame, where power cylinders and a mechanism for lifting working parts are hung.

    A two-seater all-metal cabin is installed on the tractor. To reduce noise and eliminate vibration, the panels and floor are covered with mastic and cardboard. The rear panel of the cabin is shielded with heat-insulating fabric, and the roof is shielded with paper-laminated plastic. The cabin has two adjustable sprung seats with parallelogram suspension and a hydraulic shock absorber.

    To heat the cabin, warm air is used from a water radiator or from a special air heater. The cabin has fresh air ventilation with dust separation.

    Unit design

At the same time, productivity depends on what the equipment is currently working with. If these are bulk materials, then up to 170 tons are loaded per hour, and if they are small-piece materials, no more than 140 tons.

    Ease of control and excellent maneuverability on site are ensured by:

    Independence from the temperature state of the environment is due to reliable protection of the cabin from heat or cold. The deep sound insulation of the cabin allows you to fully concentrate on the task at hand.

    Extraneous sounds, even not the loudest ones, penetrating inside it greatly distract from work.

    The steering column deserves special consideration. Its position is easily adjusted during the execution of a production task, and its design is original. So, in particular, the inclined angular direction varies within 15 degrees, and the height - up to 120 millimeters.

    The bucket attachment, included as standard, has a volume of 1.5 m3. The maximum weight that can be worked with in this case is 3,000 kg. In this case, the altitude level does not exceed three meters. However, for an additional fee, you can combine equipment with a more powerful bucket attachment. Practice shows that the optimal volume for a construction site is three cubic meters.

    As is known, the equipment in question is unified with tractors widely used in Russia and a number of other former Soviet republics. We are talking about models HTZ 17221 and 150K. This greatly simplifies maintenance, repair and operation.
