SDLG LG953 is a popular model from the Chinese manufacturer Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery, the design of which includes a wide wheel platform and an Austrian-Chinese engine
The load capacity of the front loader in question is 5 tons, the bucket can hold 3 cubic meters. It is also possible to install larger volume coal buckets (3.6 and 4.2 cubic meters). The list of additional equipment includes a bucket with side discharge, pallet forks, log grabber, pipe grabber, blade (with mechanical rotation), etc. Changing attachments is made easier thanks to the presence of a three-section hydraulic distributor. The bucket rotation mechanism is Z-shaped.
The efficiency of the work performed is influenced by the short work cycle - the operations of raising/lowering the boom and unloading material are carried out by the LG953 in 10.2 seconds.
The SDLG LG953 front loader is equipped with a Weichai engine, manufactured under license from the Austrian company Steyr, model WD10G220E11. This is a turbocharged engine with water cooling and direct injection.
The power of the power unit is 162 kW. For long-term operation without refueling, a 270-liter fuel tank is installed. Specific fuel consumption is stated at 215 g/kWh.
The pre-heater is an additional option and can be installed upon special order.
The speed at which the loader can move reaches 38 km/h. In addition, the manufacturer claims that the LG953 can overcome slopes of up to 29 degrees, and the wheel steering angle is 35 degrees. The stated minimum turning radius at the edge of the bucket is 6,201 mm. Here it is worth mentioning the installed tires: their size is 23.5-25.
The hydromechanical transmission is SDLG's own development. Number of forward gears - 2, reverse - 1. Gearbox type - planetary, reversible, with load shift function.
Type of service brakes: dual-circuit, dry, disc, with pneumatic-hydraulic drive on 4 wheels. The parking brake is a disc brake with a pneumatic drive.
The special features of the SDLG loader include a wide chassis specially developed by the company. Bridges are the company's own products, which are manufactured using ZF technologies, Germany.
The operator controls the working equipment using a joystick. Also, to make work easier, there is a function for leveling the bucket in the raised position.
The operating pressure of the hydraulic system (single-circuit, with one pump) is indicated in the specification at 18 MPa. The breaking force is 16,000 kg.
The loader comes standard with a Grammer seat with air suspension. The headrest can be adjusted in height. To increase visibility in the cabin, thin pillars are used. For even greater operator comfort in cases where the loader is to be used for work with bulk materials, an air conditioner with a cabin filter is installed.
The maximum height to which the SDLG LG953 is capable of unloading materials reaches 4,064 mm (calculated by attaching the loading bucket to the loader boom). When the bucket is opened at an angle of 45 degrees, this value is 3,050 mm. In addition, it is possible to install an extended boom.

For convenient access to the engine compartment, doors with an increased area are installed. The service life is extended by a closed liquid and oil cooling system. The fuel tank is removable.
The SDLG LG953N version of the front loader is available on the market. Among the differences is the ability to be equipped with mechanical (lever) controls instead of joysticks. This model is characterized by a slightly higher unloading height (3,100 mm instead of 3,050) and more economical fuel consumption (210 g/kWh instead of 215). Otherwise the modifications are similar.
Analogues of this machine include the following models: LiuGong ZL50CII(Yuchai), HZM 956, Yineng YN956.

The trapezoidal cutting edge is made of high-strength steel sheet, which guarantees a long service life. Moreover, in some situations, the capabilities of the SDLG 953 loader can be assessed when working at height, that is, in this case the machine can act as a crane. The machine also has high performance in snow clearing tasks, as well as garbage collection operations. The equipment also has good bulldozer capabilities in agriculture.
Modifications
The price of SDLG 953 depends on the modification. The standard car will cost less than the modified 953N model. The differences from the base machine are:
- installation of a rear view camera to ensure safe work in conditions of limited visibility;
- improved frame designed for more complex operating modes;
- improved cabin with increased viewing angle and internal free space;
- increased power hydraulic system providing higher breakout force;
- advanced turbocharged engine with water cooling system manufactured by Weichai. The WD10G220E11 model provides a 7% reduction in fuel consumption.
