Rural residents and farmers find it difficult to choose suitable equipment for a motor cultivator. But not everything is as complicated as it initially seems. Particular attention should be paid to the main important factor - the power of the unit.

Whatever generator is chosen for agricultural equipment, the specified indicator must be greater than the total load level at which the walk-behind tractor operates.

There are the following engine modifications that equip the Belarus MTZ-09N - these are the Honda GX270 and Chinese alternatives. The most common is the model with a four-stroke Honda engine, which has a power of 9 hp, one cylinder and a maximum number of revolutions of 3600 per minute.

In order to reduce the cost, the models are equipped with Chinese Kipor KG280 and Lifan LF177 engines, which are similar in their characteristics. However, reviews of such motors are mostly negative, since their service life is significantly reduced. Domestic engines UD-15 and UD-25 are characterized by economical fuel consumption, but the complexity of their design and, accordingly, difficult repairs.

Another alternative are models with the Czech Motor Jikov GH1509 engine, but they are not as popular as the above units.

If the device is intended for equipment supplemented by a battery, then the converted energy will also be sent to charge the battery.

How to make a generator for a walk-behind tractor with your own hands

It is quite easy to create such an element if a certain procedure is followed when forming the product.

To collect, you will need an electric motor, which will be installed on agricultural machinery. The DIY generator creation scheme includes the following steps:

  1. Initially, the electric motor must be placed on the walk-behind tractor frame. For this, a previously formed frame is used, which is attached to the frame with screws.
  2. The electric motor is placed and fixed in the frame in such a position that its shaft and a similar element of the cultivator motor are parallel to each other, without shifts.
  3. Next, two pulleys are installed - the first is fixed on the shaft in the gasoline engine, the second - on a similar part of the electric motor being used.

A large role is played by the size of the pulley - the frequency with which it rotates and the proper operation of the entire system depend on the indicator. To avoid serious violations in functionality, the diameter of the pulley must correspond to the calculated indicator specified in the annotation. The best option is to purchase elements whose diameter is 10% larger than the existing one.

This principle of operation will allow timely organization of blocking of external network contacts and ensure the supply of electricity to the mobile station. Its action will close the power contacts, and this will lead to automatic shutdown of the generator.

  • Operation of the equipment should be carried out in dry weather; moisture accidentally penetrating into it can cause a short circuit of the entire electrical system.
