The main object of production of the plant were rockets, rocket engines, as well as other high-tech products, the development and production of which was carried out by the efforts of designers, mechanics and engineers of the then Soviet state. Other names of YuMZ are “Yuzhmash”, “DAZ” (Dnepropetrovsk Automobile Plant).

According to the opinion that developed over the years of existence of tractors produced by YuMZ, these machines were considered the best in Ukraine and in neighboring countries. YuMZ tractors were supplied to the Baltic countries, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Poland. Some of the equipment was even exported abroad, for example, to Cuba, China and Japan. Two years after the release of the first YuMZ 6, 100 thousand copies of this equipment were already produced.

The start of production began with the launch of the MTZ-5LS tractor production line in the early 60s of the last century. They were produced by the Minsk Tractor Plant together with Ukrainian engineers and mechanics. The markings of the equipment were preserved, and the tractors that came off the MTZ assembly line became known as “Belarus”.

Later, after the creation of its own tractor machine from Yuzhmash, the production and export of the already famous “Belarus” continued. At the end of the 70s, the YuMZ trademark finally appeared, cars with the sign of which can now be bought on the move and in good condition throughout the country.

Tractor machines from YuMZ were considered the best in those years and received about. Also, they have been repeatedly recognized as the best agricultural machine of the year. Design

The entire structure of the EO 2621 excavator is based on the YuMZ 6AK wheeled tractor . The semi-rotating hydraulic boom is mounted on a vertical column resting on the tractor rear suspension bracket.

Initially, the design of the YuMZ tractor was not designed for use as an excavator chassis. Therefore, at ChTZ, its frame was strengthened with additional strapping, and the fuel tank was moved forward, installed in front of the radiator grille. The rear support legs of the excavator hitch were not enough to provide a tight stop during work.

Features of operation and maintenance

The YuMZ tractor is operated in compliance with the following rules:

  • gear shifting is carried out only when the clutch is disengaged;
  • engine idling should not exceed 15 minutes;
  • after reducing the load, let the engine run for several minutes in low load mode, and only then turn it off;
  • when the tractor is moving, only one person can be seated in the cabin;
  • regularly lubricate mechanisms and key components of the tractor, use universal lubricant (with special markings for different seasons);
  • Activate the starting engine only when the gearshift lever is in neutral;
  • for the starting engine it is allowed to use gasoline A76, A72, in the absence of such - A92, to create a combustible mixture for the operation of the PD, mix 20 parts of gasoline and one part of oil for diesel engines, and then pour into the starting engine;
  • the fuel needs to sit for about 48 hours before being poured into the diesel engine tank;
  • oil for DD - GOST 305-82, oil for PD - according to GOST 2084-77;
  • for the gearbox - TEP-15 or TAP-15V.

Maintenance of the YuMZ6 tractor involves monitoring the status of the following parameters:

  • tire pressure;
  • control of the rear linkage mechanism;
  • fuel level;
  • control of the movement of all mechanisms, the condition of fastenings;
  • engine operation;
  • seasonal maintenance as necessary;
  • once a year - prevention of gearbox breakdowns.

For new models, running-in is required to increase the life of the tractor so that all parts get used and fit into the grooves. This procedure takes about 6-8 hours, during which the tractor is operated at 50% of its power. Upon completion of the procedure, it is necessary to change the engine oil.

For used tractors, running-in is not necessary.

At the end of the operating season, the tractor must be mothballed. It must be cleaned, placed in a dry place, the oil drained, the spark plug wires disconnected and the parts lubricated to prevent corrosion from forming.

Main malfunctions of YuMZ tractors and their elimination

  • The engine does not start - perhaps it is not warmed up enough or the fuel filters are clogged;
  • the diesel engine operates intermittently and does not reach full power - you should check the fuel filter and the condition of the fuel pump;

Hydraulics

The EO-2621A excavator uses two independent hydraulic systems

with a common tank for working fluid.

The first drives the working equipment from three gear pumps

type NSh32-3, liquid is supplied through:

  • distributor for bucket hydraulic cylinders
  • handles and arrows.

Second system from pump through distributor

delivers liquid:

  1. into the boom hydraulic cylinder
  2. into the hydraulic cylinders of the rotary mechanism
  3. through the tractor distributor - into the hydraulic cylinders of the outriggers and the hydraulic cylinder of the bulldozer.

All pumps are driven by the tractor diesel crankshaft through gearboxes.

To limit the pressure in the locked piston cavity of the hydraulic cylinder when digging, a relief valve is installed, which bypasses liquid into the rod cavity of the hydraulic cylinder, and excess liquid into the tank.

To ensure uninterrupted operation of the excavator, strictly adhere to the operating rules set out in this manual, observe safety precautions, regularly carry out maintenance and routine repairs.

8. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFETY MEASURES FOR EXCAVATOR EO-2621/EO-2626

8.1. When putting the excavator into operation

Assign a driver who has documents to drive the excavator; conduct safety training when working on an excavator; Study the operating instructions for the tractor, the technical description and the operating instructions for the excavator.

8.2. When preparing an excavator for operation of the EO-2621/EO-2626 excavator

The illumination of the part of the excavator working area that is in the driver’s field of vision and limited by the width of the excavator, the maximum and minimum digging radii at the parking level, must be at least 10 lux.

When operating an excavator, IT IS PROHIBITED:

— presence of unauthorized persons on the excavator; the cabin is intended only for the driver;

- work with an excavator in the security zone of power transmission lines, underground cables, water pipelines, gas pipelines, etc. in the absence of a representative of the operating organization;

— excavate the soil under the support shoe;

— lift a load weighing more than 500 kg with a backhoe;

— work over cliffs;

— use the steering wheel or control levers as supports when exiting;

— work when there are people in the working area of ​​the excavator;

— carry the bucket over the vehicle cabin when performing loading operations

— pick up soil with a loader bucket while simultaneously turning the tractor relative to the longitudinal axis.

8.4. When measuring the parameters of the EO-2621/EO-2626 excavator

When checking and adjusting the pressure of hydraulic distributors and valves, turn on the control levers of the working bodies while in the cab (on the seat).

It is strictly forbidden to operate the control levers in any other way.

8.5. When checking the technical condition of the EO-2621/EO-2626 excavator

When working on sites containing flammable materials, install a fire extinguisher on the excavator.

— wash the excavator, clean it from dust and dirt;

— check the tightness of the threaded connections, paying special attention to the tightening of the rear and front wheel hub bolts, steering arm nuts and hydraulic distributor bolts, nuts and bolts of the excavator frame to the tractor;

— reinstall the parts removed from the excavator; the list of parts and assembly units removed from the excavator is indicated on the packing list located in the spare parts box;

— check the pressure in the tires and bring it to the values ​​​​specified in Maintenance 1.

Engine

The power unit is available in two versions.

  • The first series of YuMZ-6 were equipped with in-line four-cylinder diesel engines of the D-65 brand, with a volume of about 5 liters and a power of 60 hp. The more economical D242-71 engine has a smaller displacement and correspondingly lower 46 hp power characteristics.
  • The design features of both engines are the absence of turbocharging, power intake to activate the gear pump of the hydraulic system, and the presence of a single-stage decompressor. Average fuel consumption is about 245 g/kW per hour.

Both power units provide optimal traction characteristics for their category, combined with a power take-off to activate fairly energy-intensive mounted and towed devices.

Transmission

Torque from the power unit is transmitted to a nine-speed gearbox equipped with a retarding gearbox and transmission through a permanently closed clutch disc.

  • Control of the braking devices, activation of the power take-off shaft and blocking of the planetary mechanism of the rear axle are activated from the driver’s workplace.
  • The steering is power-assisted, and the column in the latest series can be adjusted in tilt and height.
  • The cabin's level of comfort, heat and sound insulation allows the tractor to be operated in the most difficult climatic conditions.
  • The range of operating and transport speeds can vary widely from 2.3 to 24.5 km/h.

The range of tractors from YuMZ was truly extensive. Conventionally, it can be divided into two categories - the original MTZ 5 LS and YuMZ 6, which included certain modifications of the machines:

The ordinary YuMZ-6 tractor of draft class 1.4, the prototype of which is the MTZ tractor, became the basis for several modifications of YuMZ excavator-loading equipment. The excavator, produced on the basis of the YuMZ tractor, has undergone virtually no modifications over the several decades of its existence. The line of YuMZ excavator models is represented by equipment that does not differ significantly from each other in the power of the engines and hydraulic system, as well as in dimensions and load capacity. YuMZ excavators belong to the class of medium-heavy universal equipment, which is actively used by domestic agricultural, road construction and municipal enterprises.

Purpose of the YuMZ excavator

Initially, the YuMZ excavator was used to perform various work in agriculture. With the addition of some modifications and functions of the model line of this equipment, the machine turned into a full-fledged universal backhoe loader.

Based on a reliable and powerful tractor, it is used to perform tasks in difficult climatic conditions and harmful environmental influences without loss of performance:
