In the fall of this year, a large plot of land (70 acres) was purchased, which had been abandoned for a long time, therefore the soil was very overgrown and there was a large layer of turf, i.e. virgin soil, so the issue of its cultivation arose, so our family began looking for a “helper” in this is the case. Since I had no experience using such units, I began to study reviews of different models and manufacturers; I also had to meet the budget, i.e. I was looking for a price/quality ratio. Naturally, I encountered the problem of the assortment and availability of walk-behind tractors from local sellers, since I was not used to ordering and waiting for such things (including via the Internet). Because you need to try it out, look at it and evaluate it live. The search for a “helper” lasted for a week, and as a result, this hard worker was purchased:
Equipped with a gasoline engine with a stated power of 9 horses, almost all connections are on cotter pins (practice will show whether this is a minus or a plus, which I will try to write about in a timely manner and add to this review)
The kit included simple rototillers that are installed instead of wheels; in the rear part there is a PTO “Power Take Off Shaft” covered with a plastic cap. The handles are adjustable both in height and in different angles (although honestly it turned out to be quite difficult to control them from the side, so I controlled them in the standard position)
Everything is quite simple and not bad.
The first work was preceded by the preparation described in the instructions - that is, dipping the filter in oil and “running in” the engine, which consisted of idling for an hour and driving without any loads.
As I wrote at the beginning of the review, the soil had not been cultivated for several years, therefore it was virgin soil. The walk-behind tractor did a good job of processing it, the only negative is that it is quite difficult to control the walk-behind tractor due to the lack of guide wheels on rototillers. (But I plan to solve this problem in the near future), as well as light weight for a walk-behind tractor of this class. I cultivated the soil in two passes, the first was breaking up the soil, the second was already crushing at the second speed, which made the treated soil pleasing to the eye. But during the work, some negative nuances also emerged: The edging rubber band at the gear shift point became unusable quite quickly (it simply broke) -
Also, at one fine moment after work, the walk-behind tractor simply did not start; identifying the reasons for such bad weather led to the fact that the spark plug disappeared. Since it was under warranty, I took it to the workshop of the store where I bought it, where they found out the reason - the switch was closed, after consultation with the master, it was decided to replace the original (rather sophisticated) switch with a simple one. Now there is such a switch
Now, when the weather allows, I’m preparing the planting area, I can say that the walk-behind tractor is pretty good for the money, I don’t regret buying it, I plan to buy some additional attachments to use the potential of the walk-behind tractor.

General information, purpose and design features
Weima 1050 complies with international standards according to the ISO-9001 system, and the equipment is produced at the plant where the Zirka and Centaur brand models are assembled. The model is equipped with gasoline and diesel engines with a good margin of safety. The machine can be classified as a middle class walk-behind tractor, which allows it to compete with analogues from Europe and Japan. As for the Weima 1050 itself, this walk-behind tractor is a powerful and reliable device, optimized for a soil cultivation area of 1 hectare. In addition, the equipment is suitable for soil cultivation and other agricultural operations.
Please note that Veima 1050 has a simplified design, which at the same time meets all international environmental and safety standards. Thanks to its powerful motor, the walk-behind tractor is capable of performing work related to transporting heavy loads, hilling, and removing snow and leaves.
Operating a walk-behind tractor is not difficult, and due to its compact dimensions, the equipment can be stored in small rooms. In extreme cases, a compact walk-behind tractor will not cause problems when transported over long distances, due to its folding design.
Additional convenience for the owner of the walk-behind tractor is provided by rotary handles, which allows you to customize the steering to suit you. The handles themselves are anti-vibration. This solution to some extent reduces discomfort, and as a result, the operator is less tired when working for long hours.
Let us pay attention to the advantages that guarantee the effective use of the walk-behind tractor while maintaining high reliability:
- A long engine life was achieved due to the V-belt drive, which protects the motor from overloads when processing heavy soil.
- When cultivating the soil, you don’t have to worry about accidental damage to plants, since the basic package already includes special discs
- Emergency engine stop – significantly increases engine safety at extreme overloads.
Owner reviews
Stanislav:
“The walk-behind tractor works like a clock. I'm using it for the second season. The handle is comfortable and fits securely. A huge plus is the power take-off shaft and 6-speed gearbox. You can calmly choose the optimal operating speed, rather than running after a walk-behind tractor. Pros: Large number of compatible attachments, build quality, reliable engine operation. Cons: Works only on pure 92 fuel. If the gas is old, it won’t start.”
Vyacheslav:
“Good device. I bought it because of the milling machines, my plot is located in a place where there is no possibility of tractor access. Therefore, I need an assistant who can plow the land. There were no problems in assembling the walk-behind tractor. The engine does not make noise, does not leak oil, and starts smoothly. 6 gears allow you to use the car comfortably. Pros: Clarity of work, quality. Cons: Haven't discovered it yet."
Heavy walk-behind tractor-WM 1100BE reviews.
Good day everyone! I bought myself a heavy walk-behind tractor WM 1100BE. I would like to hear reviews about it, what are the disadvantages and what are the positives. And also advice.

This is ZIRKA 135(105), look for it, there are reviews about it, or better yet, here » >
And the Chinese give you as many names as they want
PS. And this walk-behind tractor is not heavy—it’s medium.

It’s probably too late to listen to reviews if you bought it.
I just worked like this. A neighbor bought it for 46,500 rubles. The passport contains the product number (many zeros)2 The most general impressions. The engine is good. Everything is done so tightly. Makes a quality impression. Faceted (forgot what it's called correctly) axle shafts, it seems to me, are an advantage. The control system (let's call it the steering wheel) is extremely bad. The teeth on the clamps (especially the left and right) do not meet and have already begun to crumble slightly. It is impossible to loosen/tighten the clamps without using a wrench (piece of pipe). When milling, very large vibrations are transmitted to the hands. It’s painful even to work with gloves. It is inconvenient to change gears. You can't see how the lever on the box has become. You have to lean over all the time to see its position when you change gears. The clutch and reverse levers are too tight and have too much travel. Since the cutters (3 or 4 per side) are mounted directly on the axle shaft and no differentials are provided, it is VERY difficult to deploy the MB at the end of the headland! The assembled unit is wide and requires the same amount of space to turn around. And it requires human strength. In short, it cannot be compared with Agro. Maybe these impressions are because they were cultivated on 4-5 acres. Perhaps this MB needs some space.
Tips for choosing
To navigate the choice of walk-behind tractor, you need to compare:
- his weight;
- method of rotating cutters;
- engine power.
These features allow us to divide the models into three types.
- Lungs. They are popular with owners of gardens measuring 20 acres. The units are compact and their design is easy to maintain. Most models are equipped with a two-stroke engine with a pair of cutters. They cope with cultivating light soils with a working width from 30 to 90 cm. Light walk-behind tractors are also equipped with four-stroke engines.
- Medium walk-behind tractors are distinguished by the ability to change speeds and weigh up to 100 kg. The technical characteristics of the products make it possible to process hard soils and large areas. The functionality of the machine is expanded due to additional attachments.
- Heavy walk-behind tractors have engine power of up to 16 hp. pp., which allows you to cope with overgrown areas and heavy soils. In addition to the cutter, the basic package includes a harrow, plow, mower, and snow blower. In essence, the products are mini-tractors.
Attachments
Weima 1050 is a universal device designed to perform a wide range of tasks. When using this equipment, the owner will satisfy all his needs, and at the same time will be satisfied with comfortable and silent operation. In addition, the equipment consumes little fuel even with installed additional equipment. Let's look at the most common hanging elements for this model:
- Potato digger
- Potato planter
- Trailer
- Hiller
- Plow
- Shovel
- Wheelbase extender
- Ground hook
- Hitch
- Milling cutter
- Mower (rotary or segmental)
- Device for removing snow and leaves Please note that the manufacturer recommends using attachments marked Weima. The unit does not require additional maintenance, since the frequency of breakdowns is generally predictable, which allows repairs to be carried out after a certain time, as described in the instructions.
And yet, immediately after purchasing a walk-behind tractor, the manufacturer recommends running it in. This is the main requirement before full operation of the product. Run-in is intended to acclimate various parts of the walk-behind tractor to climatic and road conditions. This procedure takes place in several stages:
- Check the oil and fuel levels in the engine and add fluid if necessary
- When starting the engine for the first time, let it run for 30-40 minutes at idle speed. During this time, you can also evaluate the operation of the gearbox and other important components.
- After the first hour of running-in, you can begin test tillage. But it is important to remember that the load on the walk-behind tractor should not exceed half of the maximum norm.
- The run-in lasts only 8 hours. Upon completion, it is necessary to recheck the oil and fuel levels.
Models
The importance of walk-behind tractors in the life of summer residents is difficult to overestimate. Thanks to a wide range of models, as well as constant improvement of technology, the units not only plow the soil and destroy weeds, but also perform a lot of other tasks.

User manual
After studying this document, you can understand the design of the Weima 1050-2 and Deluxe walk-behind tractors, their characteristics, features of the first start-up and further operation, and maintenance schedules.
Weima walk-behind tractor diagram
In order for the Weima 1050-2 and Deluxe walk-behind tractors to serve for the longest possible period of time, they must be looked after and regularly serviced.
Follow simple operating rules:
- The engine oil should be changed every 50 hours of operation of the device. To do this, you must initially completely drain the waste, and then fill in a new one. It is recommended to use semi-synthetic all-season 10W-30.
- The transmission oil in the Weima 1050-2 and Deluxe walk-behind tractors is changed less frequently, after 100 operating hours. To do this, it is recommended to use a lubricant with SAE 80W-90 API GL-5 classification. It corresponds to the Soviet TAd-17i and TAP-15v.
- Veima walk-behind tractors are sensitive to fuel quality. It is recommended to use fresh and clean gasoline AI-92 or AI-95.
- Control levers must be periodically lubricated with waterproof lubricants such as Litol-24 or Solidol.
Advantages and disadvantages
The main advantage of Chinese walk-behind tractors is their light weight. Even with attachments, heavy motorcycles barely reach a weight of 100 kg. The units are highly efficient. Users note the efficiency and convenience of the units. The layout of the device is similar to models from other Chinese companies. If repairs are necessary, it is very easy to find inexpensive spare parts.
For some, the light weight of powerful walk-behind tractors is also a disadvantage. When attaching standard cutters, the engine cannot cope - it fires and does not start. The Chinese manufacturer supplies attachments in an incomplete set.
For example, you have to purchase additional guide discs yourself. Due to their absence, the walk-behind tractor is difficult to control. In the production of some parts, the manufacturer uses low-quality material. For example, the coulter breaks on the ground almost immediately. Since the mechanism of the part is simple, it is simply replaced with a homemade device.
