How to make a walk-behind tractor from a Druzhba chainsaw?

The process of creating a walk-behind tractor is exactly the same as from a chainsaw of another brand, and it was described in the previous section. There are, of course, some differences and features.

Making such a unit is quite simple. First of all, you need to very carefully attach the RU-32 collar flange to the main shaft. It is necessary so that you can attach an axle gearbox, the shaft of which is taken from the UAZ axle. You can increase the gap between the ground and the gearbox axle using a double-row chain and two sprockets from a VAZ.

Making a shovel

Exceeding this size will create a certain discomfort and inconvenience when operating the vehicle. Since the blade experiences significant mechanical loads during operation, for greater reliability It is recommended to carry out additional strengthening. It is performed using an ordinary steel pipe with a square cross-section of approximately 40x40 mm. It is welded in a longitudinal position just below the middle of the shovel. In addition, the homemade structure is also strengthened with 4-8 transverse stops, which makes it possible to give it maximum strength and stability. It is recommended to wrap the lower edge of the blade with a rubber casing, which will avoid damage and deformation when it comes into contact with the surface.

Mounting system and hydraulics

In addition, the shovel needs a reliable mount connecting it to the tractor, as well as a hydraulic complex, through which it will rise to the required height. Classification of mini bulldozers

In world practice, these machines are classified according to three main criteria: engine power, traction power and weight. And although the equipment of the first two categories does not have the highest capabilities for its aggregation with various attachments, nevertheless, it is ideal for not very complex and labor-intensive work.

Currently, the production of light and medium compact crawler bulldozers, which, by the way, is quite simple, fast and does not require large investments, is carried out by: Volgograd Tractor, C. F. The entire process of manufacturing a homemade bulldozer at MTZ consists of the following steps:

  • Now you need to attach the hydraulic cylinders. It is better to make them parallel to the subframe, since the load on the blade will be greatest in the lower part. The blade is divided into two parts with the center on the hinges of the half-frame. The remaining halves are divided into 3 parts, and 1/3 from the center is selected for attaching the hydraulic cylinders. Another option is to cut out a set of pipes. Two pipes are the same length and two are different. By changing them you can adjust the rotation of the blade. This will cost less than hydraulics and will serve much better than a fixed blade, although it will require more preparation time. The pipes will be attached to the hinges, which will greatly facilitate their installation.
  • However, if you do not plan to change the position of the blade, you can use two pipes instead of cylinders, which are permanently welded to the blade and half-frame at the hinge points. The central ones can also be simply brewed.
