Adjustment
4.1.
Adjusting the clutch During operation of the tractor, parts of the clutch wear out. Due to this wear, the clutch does not disengage completely or slipping is caused. 4.1.1. Adjusting the gap between the release disc and the release bearing. When the clutch is engaged, the gap between the release disc and the end surface of the release bearing should be uniform within 1.5-2.0 mm (Fig. 4-1).

If necessary, the gap can be adjusted as follows: Open the right hatch of the clutch housing, unscrew the lock nuts, adjust the three installation nuts sequentially - tighten the nuts on the bolts to reduce the gap, and unscrew them to increase the gap. After adjustment, check the gap again with a feeler gauge and lock the boots (Fig. 4-2).

4.1.2. Adjusting the free play of the clutch pedal. Free play is the distance the clutch pedal moves from its initial position to the position of a noticeable increase in the effort to move it, which corresponds to the beginning of the impact of the release bearing on the release levers. The free play of the clutch pedal should be within 20-30mm (Fig. 4-3). If necessary, adjust it as follows: unscrew the lock nuts, remove the connecting pin, turn the adjusting fork to change the length of the rod and, consequently, the free play of the clutch pedal. When finished, tighten the locknuts.

4.1.3. Adjusting the pedal stroke. Adjust the limiter so that the distance from the bolt to the release rocker is approximately 24mm. It is necessary that the clutch can disengage cleanly and that the pedal travel is not too large to avoid premature damage to parts and assemblies.
4.2.Adjusting the central gear By adjusting the central gear, the clearance in the bearings is eliminated.
During operation, the bevel gears of the central transmission are exposed to alternating stresses, as a result of which bearings 7205, 92906 (Fig. 4-4) on the shaft of the driving bevel gear and bearing 7306 on the shaft of the central transmission (shaft of the driven bevel gear) wear out. Wear of the bearings entails an increase in the axial clearance, and thus the correct meshing of the bevel gears of the central transmission is disrupted, which will lead to extreme wear of the gear pair, and even chipping and cracking of the gear teeth.

When checking and adjusting the central gear, the following is performed: 1. Preparatory work. Clean the gearbox from dust and dirt. Drain the transmission oil. Rinse the internal cavity of the housing with diesel fuel. 2.Checking and adjusting the clearance in the bearing 7205 of the drive bevel gear shaft. Move the drive bevel gear with a crowbar, and the normal axial movement should not exceed 0.1 mm (measured with an indicator) and, if necessary, adjust. Disconnect the main and additional gearboxes. Unscrew the locknut at the front end of the drive bevel gear shaft (Fig. 4-5). While tightening the adjusting nut, turn the drive bevel gear by hand until you feel noticeable resistance. Lock the nut. 3.Checking and adjusting the clearance in the bearings 7306 of the central gear shaft. Place the indicator foot against the end of the driven bevel gear ring. By moving the driven bevel gear with a crowbar to the left and right, observe the range of the arrow span. Normal axial movement should not exceed 0.15mm and, if necessary, adjust. By rotating the driven bevel gear, add or reduce bearing shims 7306 installed on the two ends of the center gear shaft until noticeable resistance is felt (Fig. 4-6). 4. Xingtai 180
