Chassis
An automatic transmission with a self-checking system ensures smooth operation, ease of operation and maintenance. The Terex 200 motor grader has a maximum travel speed of 40.8 km/h and first gear is designed to travel at 4.5 km/h.
Multi-disc brakes are equipped with a cooling system that uses oil as the working fluid. This increases the duration of trouble-free operation. The service brakes are activated via a pedal and a dual-circuit hydraulic system. The latter is equipped with a spare power source and driver warning systems. The wet clutch system engages all wheels and requires no maintenance.
The Terex TG 200 hydrostatic parking brake is manufactured by Poclain. The bridge is made of steel and complemented with metal ribs, which increases its rigidity. It swings on the center pivot. The tilt cylinder is equipped with a hydraulic lock.

Terex TG Series motor graders (TG140, TG180, TG200, TG250) are built to perform efficiently
The articulated frame has the ability to rotate 260 in each direction. This allows you to effectively carry out grading work outside the traffic track, for example, when grading slopes, ditches, and shoulders. When the front wheels and frame turn together in one direction, the turning radius of the grader is significantly reduced.
The front steering axle has a wheel skew function that allows you to work on slopes and also helps compensate for the reaction force on the grader blade at high grip angles. On heavy graders TG 200/TG 250, the front axle is equipped with plug-in hydrostatic wheel drives, which can operate in different modes:
- Joint engagement with the main drive of the rear wheels, which significantly increases traction on the blade and productivity;
- Turning on the front axle drive when the main drive is turned off (gearbox in neutral) allows for “final” leveling of the surface.

The T-shaped traction frame of the grader blade is designed for high loads. The hydraulic cylinders that provide spatial mobility of the grader blade are equipped with hydraulic locks, which allows you to reliably fix the position of the blade while maintaining the stability of the profile of the leveled surface.
A fixed bulldozer blade is installed as standard on all classes of graders, except for quarry graders.

Rear-mounted loosening equipment (picker) is used to loosen compacted and heavy soils, as well as to destroy road surfaces.

The integrated cooling system includes radiators of the engine, gearbox, and hydraulic lines of the front axle, if equipped.
High cooling efficiency is ensured by a modern Fan Drive system. This is a hydrostatic fan drive with processor control. The processor processes signals from sensors in the radiator sections and sets the required fan speed.
High torque on the drive wheels, as well as high traction force for working in a wide variety of operating conditions, is provided by the NAF rear balancing trolley, paired with a ZF automatic transmission.
The rear bogie is equipped with durable wheel fenders, which protect the cab and hoods from dirt and provide an additional platform for maintenance.

Hydraulic system
Accuracy, speed and ease of control are due to the installation of a carefully designed hydraulic system. It includes a constant-volume hydraulic pump with unloading when the distributor control levers are in the neutral position. Its productivity is 56 liters per minute.
The Terex 200 grader system also includes:
- four relay-controlled distributors responsible for additional operations;
- a six-section distributor with mechanical control that responds to the main organs;
- filters with a purity of 10 microns.
Hydraulic locks are installed in the blade lift and tilt, turntable shift, disc tilt, and support structure flex circuits.

TEREX TG series motor grader controls
The work equipment control levers are located to the left and right of the steering wheel and are responsible for the following functions:
- blade removal,
- blade rotation,
- raising and lowering the grader blade on the left and right sides,
- removal of the traction frame and raising and lowering of the bulldozer blade.
The steering column keys are designed to turn on and off:
- mechanism for fixing the rotary device,
- the cutting angle of the grader blade is greater - less,
- frame fracture, front wheels tilting left - right,
- ripper (picker) lifting – lowering,
- bulldozer blade turn,
- lifting – lowering (optional).
The control panel for the gearbox and electrical devices (located to the right of the operator) includes:
- automatic transmission control joystick, allows you to control the gearbox in manual and automatic mode
- front axle traction control joystick. In operating mode without a gearbox, the joystick sets the speed of the front wheels
- keys for turning on front-wheel drive, turning on the locking of front-wheel drive wheels, emergency stop of front-wheel drive (the activation of the keys is duplicated by the lighting of the indicator lights)
- keys for turning on lights, flashing beacons, windshield wipers and washers
- power on/off button
- radio
- The air conditioning and heater control panel is located higher on the rack
- above it is the ZF gearbox display
To the left of the operator is the handbrake lever.
Curtains are included as standard.

Operator's cabin
The manufacturer of Terex TG200 took care of operator convenience. For this purpose, a comfortable and ergonomic cabin is installed. It has a comfortable chair, air conditioning, tinted windows, and the ability to transform the workplace.
The cab is fully ISO compliant and features control systems that ensure simplicity and ease of basic work operations and safety from tip-overs and falling objects. Large windows provide a wide viewing angle, guaranteeing safety. The convertible steering wheel allows you to control the equipment while sitting or standing.
The distinctive characteristics of the interior of the Terex 200 grader include:
- panoramic glazing;
- high-quality audio system;
- coat hook, sun canopy and plenty of storage compartments;
- air conditioner;
- FOPS and ROPS systems integrated into the frame;
- large area of windows cleaned by windshield wipers;
- front wheel steering using two hydraulic cylinders;
- chair with air suspension;
- adjusting the position of the steering column by tilt.

Workplace
The efficiency of using this grader is significantly increased due to the comfortable and ergonomic operator's cabin. The place received increased visibility, a convenient dashboard, where the remote control keys and steering wheel are conveniently and logically located. The FORS-ROPS system built into the frame is responsible for safety in the cabin. Climate control will help the operator remain in comfortable conditions.
The cabin includes additional elements such as:
- Coat hook;
- Anti-solar film;
- Radio tape recorder;
- Adjustable control panel.
In front of the operator there is a steering wheel and a display unit, which displays all the necessary parameters of the machine. Using the keys installed on the block, the operator can change control parameters, set the alarm and control the hydraulic valves. Another important factor is the high level of cabin noise insulation.
