New all-terrain vehicle "Chetra" TM-140A - for troops in the Arctic

Modifications and features

CHETRA T 11 is available in several modifications:

  1. CHETRA T 11 – standard version with bulldozer (SU blade) and loosening equipment. The version is the most common;
  2. CHETRA T 11M – reclamation equipment with reduced specific pressure on the ground (SU dump). Used for work in areas where the soil has low bearing capacity;
  3. CHETRA T 11T – version with forest protection (SU blade). The model is especially effective for emergency recovery work and road construction;
  4. CHETRA T 11S – modification with hydrostatic transmission and direct blade.

In terms of design, the versions have minor differences. Climatic operating conditions are not important for the bulldozer, since it is adapted to any weather conditions in Russia. CHETRA T 11 works effectively at temperatures from -50 to +50 degrees.

Other features of the model include:

  • modular design;
  • fast delivery and low cost of spare parts;
  • high cross-country ability and mobility;
  • unpretentiousness to fuel quality and weather conditions;
  • low cost of maintenance;
  • operator comfort;
  • certification in accordance with European standards.

DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE

CHETRA TK25 is a wheeled industrial tractor with bulldozer equipment and an articulated frame. The series has high performance and maneuverability. The model is a product of the Cheboksary enterprise Promtractor, but does not belong to the basic line of the brand.

CHETRA TK25 is used for road construction work, leveling sites for drilling rigs and excavators, leveling surfaces for construction, cleaning faces at mining enterprises and digging trenches and pits. The model is often used as a tractor when transporting massive cargo or railway cars. The equipment can be operated in temperature conditions from -50 to +50 degrees, which expands the scope of its use. In this case, the bulldozer is usually used as a machine for auxiliary operations in dispersed areas.

The CHETRA TK2 series is represented by a small number of modifications, conditionally divided into 2 groups according to engine type (YaMZ-85.10-01/Cummins KTA 19-C510).

The cabin, designed for seven people, is made with heat and noise insulation and is installed on rubber shock absorbers (which is important: users of the TM-140 previously complained about its harsh suspension).

If necessary, you can install a remotely controlled weapons module on the military version - for example, borrow a ready-made one from the BTR-82A or a “Boomerang” being designed from the VPK-7829 .

Price and interest

The cost of the military-Arctic TM-140A has not been announced. Apparently, it is higher than that of the civilian version (about 10 million rubles). Usually in such cases it is necessary to improve reliability and carry out complete import substitution, but this does not reduce the cost of the design. However, anything can happen; the laws of “military pricing” are, as a rule, incomprehensible. For example, the military Tiger (GAZ-2330) turned out to be cheaper than its civilian VIP modification.

“At the forum, the vehicles aroused some interest among the military in connection with the strategic plans of the Russian Armed Forces to strengthen the Arctic regions of the Russian Federation,” - this is how the concern’s press service comments, while cautiously, on the results of the display of the Arctic all-terrain vehicle.

Let us recall that earlier Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Dmitry Bulgakov once told journalists that by the end of 2015 the Russian army is going to adopt new tracked and automotive vehicles, tested last winter in the Arctic. In total, 15 types of different vehicles were “drove” there, including snowmobiles, two-link tractors and, it seems, the TM-140 (although it is not known in what modification).

He also swims

TM-140A is a universal amphibious transport vehicle designed for transporting personnel in the Arctic climate and other difficult areas. It is capable of meeting the transport needs of troops in off-road conditions, including virgin snow and swamps. There is a winch for self-pulling.

Even with a maximum load (up to 4 tons of payload), the all-terrain vehicle is capable of independently overcoming water obstacles at speeds of up to 4 km/h. True, only in still water: the machine does not have water-jet engines. It moves on water, like most of its fellow all-terrain vehicles, with the help of tracks. But there are automatic pumps for pumping out water. We must not forget: this is still not a boat, and no matter how you batten down the technical hatches in the bottom (designed to drain oil and fuel), water will almost always seep into the hull.

Equipment characteristics:

SU blade:

  • length – 3320 mm or 3311 mm;
  • height – 1625 or 1462 mm;
  • volume – 5.6 cubic meters;
  • maximum depth – 550 mm;
  • maximum height – 1100 mm.

Straight blade:

  • length – 4060 mm;
  • height – 1155 mm;
  • volume – 4.3 cubic meters;
  • maximum depth – 550 mm;
  • maximum height – 1100 mm.

Single-shank ripper:

  • lift-off height – 540 mm;
  • burial depth – 630 mm.

Multi-shank ripper:

  • lift-off height – 500 mm;
  • burial depth – 530 mm.

Design and operating features

CHETRA T 11 has a modular design of systems and components, while being distinguished by its durability and long service life.

The chassis is represented by a semi-rigid 3-point suspension, the swing axis of which is moved out to improve traction and traction properties and reduce shock loads. The bulldozer uses one-time, lifetime lubrication and double cone seals. The rollers and idlers are lubricated once at the factory and do not require further intervention. The tracks are prefabricated and consist of several parts with special elements to control the lubricant level. Tension adjustment is performed using a syringe.

Chassis characteristics:

  • number of road wheels – 6;
  • number of support rollers – 2;
  • track width (standard version) – 510 mm;
  • link pitch – 203 mm;
  • number of shoes – 39;
  • lug height – 65 mm;
  • total supporting surface area – 2,668 sq.m.

A hydrostatic transmission includes several elements: hydraulic motors, control controller, joysticks, final drives, gearbox and hydraulic pumps. The development of the transmission is carried out in German, which guarantees the highest quality.

To select the speed, a planetary gearbox with the ability to switch under load (3 forward and 3 reverse speeds) is used. The element includes couplings that operate in an oil environment and perform a transmission function. To ensure the operation of the bulldozer, a 3-stage torque converter is involved, interacting with the unit through a cardan transmission and an elastic coupling. The torque converter includes a gearbox that drives the pumps.

Braking is performed using onboard clutches, made in the form of clutches operating hydraulically. The principle of activation of the parking brake is similar.

CHETRA T 11 uses a separate-unit hydraulic system with a gear pump model David Brown S1A6097. Element productivity reaches 163 l/min. The distributor is a 4-section Bosch Rexroth element, consisting of 3 working and 1 valve sections. The maximum pressure in the hydraulic system is 20 MPa. The hydraulic tank holds 85 liters. The welded design allows for internal mechanical cleaning.

The bulldozer cabin has special upholstery with soundproofing properties, and rubber shock absorbers reduce the level of vibration in the cabin. Double glazing increases the viewing angle. The cabin is equipped with forced ventilation, a heating system and an additional heating element. Air conditioning is available as an option.

The shape of the panels, controls and interior decoration are modern in design and made from quality materials. They are close to the operator and allow you to perform all necessary actions with maximum convenience. The gas pedal is fixed in a given position, providing the required engine speed. Shifting gears and selecting direction (forward or reverse) is carried out using one lever. To the left of the driver there are 2 small levers that control the side clutches. There are separate levers for controlling the blade and ripper. The driver's seat has a sprung design and can be adjusted to suit the height and weight of the operator.

CHETRA T11 is equipped with 2 types of equipment:

  1. For bulldozer work: blades of various shapes (straight, spherical, rotary) with hydraulic or mechanical action.
  2. For loosening the soil: rippers with different numbers of teeth (1,3 or 7).

CHETRA TK25 DEVICE

The CHETRA TK25 bulldozer is built on the basis of an articulated frame, which eliminates the unloading or hanging of one of the wheels when moving on an uneven surface. This design also ensures maximum use of traction mass. Systems and equipment components have a modular design, which simplifies maintenance and allows elements to be removed (installed) as entire units.

The chassis uses tubeless single-pitch tires with a standard size of 35/65-33. When working on rocky ground, additionally wear safety chains. Tire inflation is carried out using a special pneumatic system, represented by a compressor mounted on the engine.

CHETRA TK25 uses a hydromechanical transmission, including a pump drive gearbox, a power unit, 2 main bevel gears with differentials and wheel gearboxes with permanently closed brakes. The power unit is represented by a single-stage 3-element torque converter, a planetary gearbox and a matching gearbox. Power is transmitted to the torque converter via cardan drives.

Bulldozer speeds (forward/backward):

  • 1st gear – 0-7.8/0-11.2 km/h;
  • 2nd gear – 0-14.8/0-21.3 km/h;
  • 3rd gear – 0-27.3/0-38 km/h.

Limit traction forces taking into account the selected speed:

  • 1st gear – 562 (51.17) kN (tf);
  • 2nd gear – 278 (25.4) kN (tf);
  • 3rd gear – 142 (13) kN (tf).

The separate-unit hydraulic system is responsible for lowering, lifting and lateral tilting of the equipment. The hydraulic system includes 2 functionally related systems:

  • the main system is the movement of the blade;
  • servo control system – reduction of force on the control handle and remote control of hydraulic units.

The hydraulic system is based on 2 gear pumps, models NSh250 and NSh10. It also includes a flow divider, 2 spool valves, hydraulic cylinders for raising/lowering and tilting the blade and safety valves.

The CHETRA TK25 is equipped with a single cabin with sound and thermal insulation. The sprung seat is adjusted to the height and weight of the operator. The cabin is equipped with a hot air heater and a ventilation unit, which allow you to work in difficult climatic zones. Gear shifting is done using a lever, braking and stopping is done using pedals. The bulldozer equipment is controlled by a handle on the right column. The driver performs all operations from his workplace.
