Generations

The story begins in 1971. The car replaced the E 2000 unit. The truck was completely transformed and presented in a new formation, taking only the 2.5-liter engine from its predecessor. Mazda Titan: overview of all generations

The first generation of Mazda Titan trucks was released in 1971 to replace the E2000 model. From its predecessor, the new cars inherited only the 2.5-liter XA diesel engine, which was installed on the most budget modifications. Models with higher payloads were equipped with a 2.7-liter XB diesel engine producing 81 hp, and for the heaviest versions a 100-horsepower 3.7-liter XC engine was offered. In addition to models with a diesel engine, there were also versions with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol engine.

After the facelift carried out in 1977, the Mazda Titan truck was transformed thanks to a new radiator grille, and the shape of the bumpers and cabin vents also changed. Mazda Titan's turn signals have been enlarged, and the company's corporate logo has been modified. The truck was produced in this form for another three years.

In 1980, Mazda introduced the second generation Titan. In addition to the existing line of power units, the trucks received new six-cylinder ZB diesel engines with a volume of up to 4052 cc. Where did the renovation start:

Checked all fuses and relays - everything is OK. We studied the diagrams and realized that all control goes through the “interior electrical control” module BCM.

The module is located at the left driver's foot behind the fuses.

They removed the block and disassembled it. Inside, in addition to the processor and everything else, there are 2 power relays (5-pin). We checked the relay - one with a burnt winding, the second intact.

We replaced the relay, put everything back together - and lo and behold! — lighting, dimensions and PTF are working.

5 minutes passed - everything went out. We climbed into the fuse box under the hood - the fuse burned out again.

They began to measure the current - more than 30A - there is a short circuit somewhere ((((

They rummaged through the entire interior, headlights, rear lights. Everything is perfect everywhere, just like from the factory.

At the last moment we remembered about the license plate light - we inserted an ammeter instead of the fuse - everything lit up except for it. We are changing the light bulbs, one of the incandescent ones came on. The truth is somewhere near. We look at the wiring - and here it is JOINT. The wiring leading to the license plate light fell onto the muffler, melted and shorted to ground.

We tore off the fused wiring from the muffler and voila - 2A current.

It turned out that the car was not hit hard in the rear wheel, it was repaired by the officials, apparently they removed the bumper (or maybe they changed it), and they threw the wiring to the muffler. That's the whole story. The client left happy))))
