The UAZ Hunter is an improved version of the 469 model, as well as the UAZ-3151. The car has an identical body with minor modifications. UAZ-3151 device, maintenance, diagnostics, repair

Replacing the coolant pump Remove the radiator of the cooling system. Remove the fan with viscous coupling. Remove the accessory drive belts. Using a 12mm wrench, unscrew the bolts securing the coolant pump pulleys. Remove the washer, outer and inner pump pulleys. Use pliers to loosen the hose clamps. Disconnect the heating system hose from the pump. Remove the tee along with the hoses. Unscrew the bolt securing the bar to the generator. Using a 13mm wrench, unscrew the nut securing the adjusting bar to the block. Remove the bar from the stud. Using a 13mm wrench or a high socket, unscrew the five nuts securing the pump to the cylinder block.

We remove the pump. Using a wrench or a 10mm socket, unscrew the bolt securing the pump cover. Using a copper hammer, carefully tap the pump cover and gasket. We clean the cylinder block and pump from the remains of old gaskets. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the new gaskets on both sides. We assemble and install the pump in the reverse order.

Replacing the coolant It is more convenient to work in the inspection ditch. We open the heater tap; if the cooling system is filled with water, it can be drained directly onto the ground. To do this, open the radiator tap and the tap on the cylinder block and drain the water from the cooling system. If the cooling system is filled with antifreeze, then it can only be drained into a container. Unscrew and remove the radiator and expansion tank caps. Remove the front engine mudguard. We put a hose of a suitable size on the radiator tap pipe, and opening the tap, drain the liquid into a container with a volume of at least 14 liters. We put the hose on the valve fitting of the cylinder block and similarly drain the liquid from the block. Using a 10mm socket, unscrew the nut of the clamp securing the expansion tank. Having removed the corrugated air intake hose from the radiator casing pipe, lift the tank to completely drain the liquid from its hose. Close all taps and install the expansion tank in place.

Fill the system with new coolant. We fill the cooling system through the radiator, and then replace the filler plug. Fill the liquid into the expansion tank to a level 3–4 cm above the “min” mark. Reinstall the expansion tank plug. After starting the engine and letting it run for 2-3 minutes, add fluid to the expansion tank, bringing its level to normal.
