It is sealed and does not require lubrication or adjustment during operation. The holes for mounting disks coincide with VAZ ones - 4 pieces with a diameter of 98 mm. The hub axle is secured to the wheel beam flange with four spring washers. The beam flange has 2 additional holes, which allows you to increase the ground clearance of the trailer if you move the axles to the lower position. When equipping a trailer with wheels from a Niva or UAZ, hubs for bearing 127509 A, a UAZ hub seal, and wheel studs 2121 are used.

PS If you want to replace the hubs on passenger trailers of other brands (NOT from the Kurgan Trailers production plant), then you may need to manually modify the beam, since the holes for attaching the axle to the flange may not match.

Replacing the MZSA trailer wheel bearing

Once the hub has rotated, loosen the nut by 6th of a turn and tighten the locknut. The recommended tightening torque is in the range of 137-157 nm.

It is quite simple to identify the need to replace a wheel bearing - the presence of play and a characteristic crunch when turning a jacked wheel “hint” at the need for repair work.

Required tools:

  8. Do not under any circumstances tighten the nut to 32. It is important that the wheel rotates without unnecessary load.

  • To begin with, the beam itself is selected. It doesn't matter whether it has a round or square cross-section. The main thing is that you take the appropriate dimensions and use high quality metal. Otherwise, the suspension will not last long;
  • Next, we take the hub axle, on which the hub itself will be installed, and connect it to the pipe. How to connect these two elements? It will be ideal if the hub axle fits at least a few millimeters with its protrusion inside the pipe. Here, a round section has a better chance than a square one.   • Now you have a full-fledged axle ready, to which a spring or torsion bar will then be mounted;
