Kamaz 65207: modifications and purpose of the vehicle. Features of operation and maintenance

KamAZ 65207 is a large-capacity truck with a 6 by 4 wheel arrangement and an on-board platform. The model is intended for transporting goods on roads with different surfaces. The car premiered in September 2013 at the COMTRANS-2013 exhibition held in Moscow. Then KamAZ 65207 surprised many. The interesting cabin and neat platform immediately attracted attention. Folding aluminum sides and swinging rear gates were a novelty for cars of this brand. The updates clearly appealed to consumers.

The model represents a new family of products from the Kama Automobile Plant and was designed jointly with specialists from the German company Daimler. The first pilot batch of KamAZ 65207 vehicles was released in December 2014. The launch of a modern flatbed truck on the market was repeatedly announced, but was postponed. For the production of the car, a special workshop was allocated, converted for this process. KamAZ 65207 was produced in limited editions, and full production started only in February 2015. Currently, the car is in strong demand in the domestic market.

Purpose of KamAZ 65207

65207 Kamaz – 2013 model. Refers to the newest developments of the Kama plant. The predecessor of this model: Kamaz 65206. The 65207 truck belongs to the class of flatbed trucks with a large payload. Equipped with a movable platform with a multi-lift (loading system). Carriers love this model for its high load capacity, the ability to equip it on a chassis for an agricultural truck or a log truck; reviews about this dump truck are positive. If desired, a manipulator (crane installation) can be installed on the platform. As a rule, dump trucks of this model are used as a grain carrier, as well as for transporting any bulk cargo, such as refrigerators, also known as isothermal vans.

There are a large number of photos of this model on the Internet. You can see that the car is equipped with a van with folding sides, which is why it is so popular among carriers (both urban and intercity transportation). Special advantages of the model: modern appearance of the body, cabin interior, fairly good aerodynamic qualities.

Options:

  • ECAS system that regulates the position of the truck frame;
  • convenient loading and unloading;
  • maintaining a smooth ride on any surface;
  • Excellent cross-country ability on difficult sections of the road.

Scope of application

The new KamAZ, due to the presence of a comfortable cabin, can be used for long-term transportation of various cargoes. This is possible, first of all, because the cabin is equipped with a sleeping place, and on long trips this is a fairly important factor.

In addition, this truck is used:

  1. for long-distance transportation of petroleum products;
  2. for carrying out various works in the construction industry.

If you have a long off-road trip ahead, we recommend that you take a closer look at the hooded KamAZ, which is able to overcome obstacles on the road faster than other models.

Vehicle specifications

The main technical characteristics of KamAZ 65207 are as follows:

  • fuel consumption per 100 kilometers: 28-30 l;
  • internal dimensions (van): 7800x2480x2500 mm;
  • load capacity 14.725 thousand kg;
  • platform with folding sides, there is an awning;
  • total weight 26 thousand kg;
  • diesel engine model Daimler OM 457 LA (Euro-5);
  • engine power 401 hp;
  • cylinder volume 11.97 l, quantity – 6;
  • Gearbox ZF 16S 2220 TD, manual, 16-speed;
  • Hydraulic drive;
  • Disc clutch, diaphragm;
  • disc brakes.

Device

KamAZ 65207 is based on a spar frame with a cross section on which the main components and assemblies of the vehicle are installed. The cabin is mounted on it using a 4-point spring suspension. The front part has a dependent suspension on semi-elliptical leaf springs, and the rear part has an air suspension with ECAS control technology.

The KamAZ 65207 unit interacts with a 16-speed manual synchronized transmission of the ZF 16S 2220 TD model. The gearbox ensures smooth movement. The force is transmitted using a single-disc diaphragm clutch with a hydraulic drive with a pneumatic booster.

Effective braking is ensured by a braking complex that includes EBS, ASR, ABS systems, disc brakes acting on all wheels, and an electro-pneumatic drive. The stability of the car is achieved thanks to the presence of the ESP system, which minimizes skidding of the rear axles when driving on slippery roads.

KamAZ 65207 is equipped with a modern cabin, which is borrowed almost unchanged from the Mercedes Axor. It is characterized by an expanded list of basic equipment, improved finishing materials and a high level of comfort. Inside there is a sleeping place designed for comfortable rest when covering long distances. As standard, the car is equipped with an air conditioning system and an autonomous heater. The driver's seat has air suspension and many adjustments, which is very convenient when constantly driving. Another nice feature is the power mirrors. In the interior of KamAZ 65207 there is practically nothing left from its predecessors. A new steering wheel with increased functionality (buttons on the sides of the hub), excellent ergonomics, a modern panel and high-quality plastic allow it to compete with foreign cars in terms of comfort. The cabin is quite high, but you won’t be able to stand up to your full height in the cabin. However, this is not required from a regional carrier. Good noise and vibration insulation allows you to fully concentrate on the process of movement (almost no extraneous sounds are heard inside).

The KamAZ 65207 onboard platform is made both simple and reliable. Rear swing gates allow you to transport large loads.

In the basic configuration, the model is equipped with electric windows, air suspension for the driver's seat, power steering, ESP, ABS, ASR, EBS systems, halogen headlights and other equipment. Optionally available are an auxiliary interior heater, a liquid pre-heater, audio preparation with a radio antenna for 2 speakers, an electronic tachograph, and a lining wear limit sensor.

Cabin

The KamAZ 65207 cab is located on a four-point suspension with electric drives for the tipping mechanism. The process of getting into the cabin is greatly facilitated due to the wide angle of the opening door. The cabin is quite spacious, you can even stand up to your full height (depending on the modification).

The cabin is equipped with seats from Grammer , which are fully adjustable. They are equipped with folding armrests, which is quite comfortable and gives the feeling that you are sitting behind the wheel of a prestigious foreign car.

In general, almost all the components located inside the cab are supplied exclusively from abroad, and the interior of the new KamAZ itself is in many ways similar to that of a Mercedes. High-quality plastic with good wear resistance was used in the interior decoration. To the right of the driver's seat are various compartments for different needs, as well as two cup holders.

Behind the driver and passenger seats there is a fairly comfortable sleeping area. Underneath there is a drawer where you can store bed linen or various products. In addition, the cabin has a tachograph, air conditioning, auxiliary heater, cruise control system , and the driver's seat is also heated. As you noticed, this is a fairly convenient vehicle, but keep in mind that its fuel consumption will be greater than its predecessor Kamaz 4308.

Main malfunctions of KamAZ 65207

Owners note problems with bridges, explaining this by the fact that assembly and production are domestic, but there are those who categorically disagree with this opinion and equate KamAZ 65207 with Mercedes-type trucks. An unusual gearbox is noted. In any case, before operation, you should carefully study the instructions for the engine and the car itself.

Fuel consumption standards for dump trucks

For dump trucks and dump truck trains, the standard value of fuel consumption is calculated using the formula:

Qн = 0.01 x Hsanc x S x (1 + 0.01 x D) + Hz x Z, (4)

where Qн is the standard fuel consumption, l;

S — mileage of a dump truck or road train, km;

Hsanc is the fuel consumption rate of a dump truck or a dump truck train:

Hsanc = Hs + Hw x (Gpr + 0.5q), l/100 km,

where Hs is the transport norm taking into account transport work (with a load factor of 0.5), l/100 km;

Hw is the rate of fuel consumption for the transport operation of a dump truck (if the coefficient 0.5 is not taken into account when calculating Hs) and for the additional weight of a dump trailer or semi-trailer, l/100 t x km;

Gpr - dead weight of a dump trailer, semi-trailer, t;

q - load capacity of a trailer, semi-trailer (0.5q - with a load factor of 0.5), t;

Hz - additional fuel consumption rate for each trip with a load of a dump truck, road train, l;

Z—number of loaded riders per shift;

D — correction factor (total relative increase or decrease) to the norm, %.

When operating dump trucks with dump trailers, semi-trailers (if the basic rate is calculated for the vehicle, as for a truck tractor), the fuel consumption rate increases for each ton of the trailer's, semi-trailer's own weight and half of its rated load capacity (load factor - 0.5): gasoline - up to 2 l; diesel fuel - up to 1.3 l; liquefied gas - up to 2.64 l; natural gas - up to 2 cubic meters. m.

For dump trucks and road trains, the fuel consumption rate (Hz) is additionally established for each trip with a load when maneuvering at loading and unloading areas:

— up to 0.25 liters of liquid fuel (up to 0.33 liters of liquefied petroleum gas, up to 0.25 cubic meters of natural gas) per unit of dump rolling stock;

- up to 0.2 cubic meters m of natural gas and 0.1 liter of diesel fuel approximately with gas-diesel engine power.

For heavy-duty dump trucks of the BelAZ type, the additional diesel fuel consumption rate for each trip with a load is set at up to 1 liter.

In cases of operation of dump trucks with a payload coefficient above 0.5, it is allowed to normalize fuel consumption in the same way as for on-board vehicles according to formula (3).

KamAZ fuel consumption

Fuel consumption is one of the most important characteristics of a vehicle, especially a truck, along with its load capacity and reliability.

At the same time, fuel consumption data is actively used by transport enterprises to predict and control fuel consumption in relation to specific truck models.

The given fuel consumption standards for KAMAZ vehicles are taken from official sources of the automobile plant and are intended for the operation of motor transport enterprises, as well as enterprises for their management and control.

The fuel consumption rate implies a set value for the measure of fuel consumption in relation to the operation of a specific model, brand and modification of a KAMAZ truck.

The given data on fuel consumption are provided in two consumption standards: summer and winter.

Fuel consumption rates for KAMAZ dump trucks (data are given in liters per 100 km):

Kamaz-6540 – 34 (summer norm), 37.4 (winter norm);

Kamaz-55111 – 27 (summer norm), 29.8 (winter norm);

Kamaz-43255 – 22 (summer norm), 24.3 (winter norm).

Fuel consumption rates for KAMAZ truck tractors (data are given in liters per 100 km):

Fuel consumption rates for onboard KAMAZ trucks (data are given in liters per 100 km):

Kamaz-43118 – 33 (summer norm), 36.3 (winter norm);

Kamaz-4308 – 19 (summer norm), 20.8 (winter norm).

Fuel consumption rates for KAMAZ chassis (data are given in liters per 100 km):

If the fuel consumption of your KAMAZ exceeds the declared ones, this is a serious reason to check the correct operation of the KAMAZ, especially its engine.

Increased oil consumption is a serious problem for many vehicles, including Kamaz trucks.
