Reviews from owners of Belarus MTZ-422

Unfortunately, the MT3-422 model, which has been on the market for quite a long time, has, in fact, never found its buyer. This compact universal tractor still remains in the category of promising, but exotic and very rarely widespread models. There are very, very few reviews from real owners about this technique, supported by photos and videos. You can literally count them on the fingers of one hand.

These reviews are generally positive and practical. The owners note that the MT3-422 tractor copes well with household work, despite its modest size. Suitable for both cultivating your own plot of land and for “rural business” - providing plowing services for vegetable gardens.

There is positive experience in using this tractor with plows and cutters, a front loader and a Chinese-made mounted mini-excavator (with a digging depth of up to 2.2 m). And also with a utility blade, a brush and a rotary snow blower (for part-time work - cleaning sidewalks and streets from snow in winter).

The impression from the equipment is positive; the compact tractor is reliable and unpretentious in operation, and does not cause serious problems. Only in winter, when there is a lot of snow, would I like to install wheels with a larger diameter and wider. The front ones are narrow and small, and they burrow easily in deep wet snow.

The following problems were noted: the hydraulic distributor “goats up”, when the oil heats up, the bypass valve begins to stick and the hydraulics begin to work unstably - sometimes it lifts, sometimes it doesn’t; the motor is attached to the gearbox through the clutch housing and... “hangs in the air”: the manufacturer does not provide front mounts for the engine. Thus, the entire mass of the diesel engine, cab and front loader puts pressure on the connection between the semi-frame and the gearbox. According to one owner, front engine mounts should be added. In general, the fastening of the front frame and gearbox often becomes loose, and you have to periodically tighten it.

The cabin is rated as very comfortable, with a comfortable seat. Driving the tractor is easy. The engine is high-torque, quiet, economical.

Cost of tractor MTZ-422

The new Belarus MTZ-422.1 tractor costs in March 2022, according to information from the official website of the Bobruisk Tractor Parts and Assemblies Plant, from 30 thousand Belarusian rubles (i.e. from 922,000 Russian rubles). Dealers of the Minsk Tractor Plant cannot find such a tractor in stock: it is not in demand, so no one wants to risk stocking up on goods that could potentially “hang” for a long time. Only on order.

This model is practically not represented on the used agricultural machinery market yet. There are only very rare advertisements for sale. For example, 560 thousand rubles are being asked for an MT3-422 of the 2O1O year of manufacture, complete with a KUN, a plow and several units of other additional working equipment. In another advertisement, for a used MT3-422, without indicating the year of manufacture, they ask for 400 thousand rubles.
