Bulldozer DZ 28 is a true classic of domestic mechanical engineering. Produced in the USSR on the basis of the T-130 tractor, it may seem outdated only at first glance. Although about 50 years have passed since the release of this model, the design and basic elements of bulldozer equipment have not changed that much. If you do not take into account the level of comfort and computerization, in terms of reliability and performance protection the 28 is in no way inferior to modern analogues, and in terms of price and cost of spare parts it even surpasses them.

The DZ 28 bulldozer, like the base tractor T-130.1G-1, according to the generally accepted classification, belongs to the 6th (medium) traction class of general purpose bulldozers, since it is equally suitable for land development, transportation and auxiliary activities, regardless of the type of soil. Design features

A four-stroke diesel engine equipped with a liquid cooling system is used as a component of the power unit. With a nominal volume of 14.48 liters, such an engine is capable of producing 170 hp. The torque in this case will remain at 25 Nm.

The cast engine cylinder block is made of cast iron, as a result of which we can talk about maximum protection against various mechanical damage. Vertical walled baffles are used as supports for the decompressor and crankshaft.

Special hatches are located in the immediate vicinity of the cylinder block. They are on the right side. By using them, you can inspect the condition of the main bearings and change them if necessary.

A crankcase with two drain holes covers the entire lower part of the block. Directly on the power plant is a five-bearing crankshaft with special panels for centrifugal cleaning.

Attention should be paid to installing additional systems that ensure efficient and uninterrupted operation of the power plant component. For example, the built-in balancing mechanism reduces vibration in the engine, and the gas distribution mechanism promotes uniform distribution of gaseous substances.

At one of the final stages, the fuel fluid in the engine passes through a fine filter and is transferred to the solenoid valve. After this, the fuel flows to the spark plug.

The entire running gear of the bulldozer is placed on trolleys with a balancer. The suspension is quite rigid and has a three-point design. Unlike bulldozers equipped with a spring suspension variation, the DZ 110 model behaves as confidently as possible on any road surface. The bulldozer's rigid frame makes it as stable as possible on almost any ground.

The presence of tracked traction has a positive effect on increasing the cross-country potential of this model. On each side the tracks are additionally equipped with six-wheel rollers. They can subsequently be connected to the hydraulic system.

Instead of a standard blade, various removable equipment can be mounted on the frame, presented in the form of a brush cutter, snow plow or tree handler.

Specifications

The tank of the DZ 110 bulldozer can hold up to 230 liters of fuel. With a total weight of 18.5 tons, the length of such a unit is equivalent to 5500 mm. The width of the bulldozer is 3420 mm, and the height is 3050 mm. The ground clearance is 415 mm.

As for the dimensions of the component equipment, the total height of 1300 mm and the width of the blade is kept at 3300 mm. In this case, the maximum possible lifting height of this element is 102 mm.

A rigid universal frame covers the entire bulldozer from the outside. A ball head is welded in its front part on the longitudinal axis. It is to this that the middle part of the blade is hinged and makes it as mobile as possible.

In order to fix the blade in relation to the frame, two pushers with screw braces are installed.

If accessory equipment must be positioned at an angle, the brace is tightened so that it can hold the blade relative to the frame.

In this case, the working equipment can rise to a height, as a result of which the pin of the ball pins of the pushers is removed. After this, the pushers are retracted from the supports, and the blade is rotated in the desired direction.

The basic modification of the bulldozer is distinguished by the presence of a three-tooth blade, the maximum depth of which is kept at 65 cm. As an additional option, you can resort to installing a single-tooth blade. This need arises if the standard version of the component equipment cannot be used on site. In addition to the basic modification, you should pay attention to the following configurations:

  • Model DZ 110A. This version of the bulldozer is built on the basis of the T-130 MG tractor. The model is equipped with a non-rotating blade variation. The transmission in this case has a multi-stage mechanical design. The maximum speed threshold of the bulldozer reaches 12.2 km/h.
  • Model DZ 110V. This bulldozer is built on the basis of the T-170 tractor. It can be equipped with a mechanical or hydromechanical transmission. The rated power of the power plant component is kept at 180 hp. In this case, the torque is 25 Nm.

Judging by consumer reviews, the Chetra T-25 bulldozer, the technical characteristics of which we will discuss in the article, is distinguished primarily by functionality and ease of maintenance. Another advantage of this machine is that its powerful engine can be replaced with engines from almost any other manufacturer.

Also, the Chetra T-25 bulldozer, judging by reviews, is distinguished by good maneuverability. This modernized tractor is manufactured with the main components based on the module. This makes the machine lighter and more productive. Among other things, the Chetra T-25 engine is supplemented with special heaters that guarantee uninterrupted operation at low temperatures.

The hydraulic system of this tractor is controlled via an electronic panel. At the same time, it is adjusted taking into account the load.

When developing this model, design engineers paid special attention to its cross-country ability. This machine, among other things, is characterized by a reduced level of pressure on the supporting surface. The bulldozer has expanded tracks with an increased number of rollers. There is no need to adjust the latter, as well as the side clutches, when operating the Chetra T-25 tractor.

One of the features of the T-25 is that with its use it is possible to carry out diagonal traction work on absolutely any terrain. The blade of this tractor approaches the hood at a minimum distance.

In addition to the basic model, it also produces several modifications. For example, a fairly popular model among consumers is the T-25 01 bulldozer. This model is distinguished, first of all, by its high productivity.

Technical characteristics of the bulldozer D3-42

The D3-42 bulldozer is a self-propelled special equipment on crawler tracks of the earth-moving type, which was in demand back in the days of the Soviet Union. The most significant and labor-intensive process in any construction is earthmoving work, where in the modern race for time and quality of work, manual labor has practically become obsolete.

Based on the type of blade, two versions of this special equipment were distinguished:

  1. D3-42P is a unit with a full-rotary blade, which has the ability to change the tilt of the blade mechanism. Its distinctive characteristics were the presence of a hydraulic transfer function and, in fact, a rotating mechanism. Improved maneuverability indicators made it possible to significantly increase productivity in carrying out work manipulations.
  2. D3-42 - had a fixed blade mechanism.
  3. D3-42T is a special model capable of carrying out excavation work on wet and swampy soils, for which it received its second name “peat modification”.

The D3-42 bulldozer is characterized by traction class 3, and the main difference between the D3-42 and the basic version DT-75 is the use of a reverse gearbox and a blade mechanism. This makes it possible to operate it in difficult climatic conditions and on difficult soils belonging to categories 1 - 2.

The turbocharged diesel engine is equipped with a liquid-based cooling system, which allows the bulldozer operator to operate the equipment for a long time without interruption for cooling breaks.

In addition to the D3-42, D3-42P and D3-42T models, another modification was created, namely, the D3-42G bulldozer, designed to provide reclamation services in agriculture, for operation in mountainous areas and other locations where the soil is moderately heavy. .

This model of special earthmoving equipment has a powerful (up to 90 l/s) power plant and larger dimensions. And a double-acting hydraulic cylinder allows the blade to penetrate the ground to a depth of 30 cm and rise to a height of up to 63 cm.

  • All models of this special equipment have a tracked undercarriage system. A solid metal frame and spring-type suspension are used. In the space between the caterpillar tracks there are side spars, firmly connected to the transverse beam, which helps to withstand heavy loads and not damage the top layer of soil, which is especially important during agricultural manipulations.
  • The size of the track depends on the model and can vary from 390 to 470 mm.
  • The hydraulic system consists of a pump, a distributor with a hydraulic lock, a hydraulic power cylinder and a safety valve that controls the hinged mechanism. The hydraulics receive oil through an oil tank and filter.
  • The manual transmission is seven-speed. Installed near the rear axle. To start the movement, a dry clutch is used - a closed double-disc part.

The modern cabin was designed taking into account past mistakes, which increased the productivity of the bulldozer operator, namely:

  1. BNDT-10 is a non-rotating version, weighing almost 830 kg, a rotation angle of 25 degrees and a width of 2 m 52 cm. It is used for snow removal work and on construction sites.
  2. BNDT-20 is an analogue of the first option, but with a width of 2 m 80 cm and a weight of 874 kg.
  3. BPDT is a rotary version with a rotation angle of 25 degrees relative to the axis of the unit, weighing 1 ton 70 kg and width 2 m 80 cm.
  4. BUDT - technical characteristics are the same as BPDT, but has a skew of 8 degrees along the transverse plane, which makes this type a universal rotary mechanism.

Features of operation

The Chetra T-25 bulldozer is easy to operate. As the owners of such machines note, their operation is facilitated, among other things, by the fact that the manufacturer has reduced the likelihood of oil leakage in them. Also in this tractor it is very easy to change the bearings on the hub.

Some of the drawbacks of the T-25 bulldozers are considered by their owners to be the not very perfect design of the pump. Unfortunately, during the operation of the tractor it often breaks down. To prevent this from happening, owners of such bulldozers are recommended to pay maximum attention to the maintenance of pumping pumps.

The characteristics of the T-25 bulldozer are simply excellent. Among other things, what makes this tractor easier to operate and more productive is the fact that its design includes a blade with increased capacity. Also, judging by the reviews, this part of the T-25 is very easily adjustable in terms of tilt.

1.2.1 Technical characteristics of the bulldozer DZ - 110B

The bulldozer is produced by the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant based on the T-130 tractor, developed in the early 60s.

The T-130 tractor (Figure 3) is a type of powerful general-purpose crawler tractor and is intended primarily for performing heavy and labor-intensive work in a unit with mounted and trailed equipment, and can also be successfully used in a unit with such mechanisms as a crane, loader, uprooter, collector, and many other types of additional equipment. The DZ-110 bulldozer belongs to traction class 10. It is used for earthmoving and leveling work in road, industrial, civil, and hydraulic construction on soils of categories 1-3. Existing modifications: T-130B tractors, DZ-28, DZ-110B bulldozers.

The T-130 tractor is equipped with a four-cylinder, four-stroke diesel engine D-160 with turbocharging, a combustion chamber in the bottom of the piston and starting from a carburetor starting engine with an electric starter.

The transmission is mechanical, multi-stage. It consists of a dry, permanently closed clutch with two driving and two driven discs, a four-shaft gearbox, a bevel gear, multi-plate dry final clutches and two-stage final drives.

The brakes are band brakes, double-acting, floating, with friction linings acting on the outer drums of the side clutches. The onboard clutch control system includes hydraulic servomechanisms.

The frame of the T-130 bulldozer is made in the form of two spars welded to the body of the onboard clutches. The caterpillar bogies are welded, there are five track rollers, and two support rollers. The tension wheel has a hydraulic tension mechanism. The caterpillar is made up of stamped links connected by pins and bushings. Special profile shoes are attached to the links.

The T-130 tractor is equipped with a separate hydraulic system, front and rear linkages, and a pendulum or rigid towbar. It is possible to install a PTO (power take-off shaft).

The cabin is double, closed, metal, with heat and sound insulating seal.

Technical characteristics of the D 28 bulldozer based on the T-130 tractor

Let's look at the main technical characteristics of the DZ 28 bulldozer. Of course, today hardly anyone can be surprised by the standard 13.53 liter diesel engine "D-160" for tractors of the second half of the 20th century, which has a turbocharger, 4 cylinders, an electric starter and a pre-heater (for starting in the cold).

The power of the DZ 28 engine is not very high - only 160 hp. at 1250 rpm.

However, scientific and technological progress makes it possible to easily overcome this disadvantage in most obsolete models of bulldozers, including DZ 28, by installing more modern engines, for example, produced by Yaroslavl Motor, DEUTZ AG.

The main and very fundamental difference between the DZ 28 bulldozer and other modifications of the T-130 tractor is that it is equipped with a straight rotary blade. The frame is mounted on hinges to the tractor body, a blade ball support is welded to it, and pushers are installed on the sides.

The bulldozer operator manually moves the pushers and thereby moves the blade left, center or right. Bulldozers with rotary blades are more often used in road work, for example, to clear the roadway of snow.

Thus, the presence of a rotary blade expands the scope of application of the DZ 28.

The length of the DZ 28 blade is 3.94 m, and the height is 1 m. The weight of the attached bulldozer equipment is 2 tons. The total mass of the DZ 28 bulldozer together with the blade, frame and ball joint is 14.9 tons. The lowest point of the blade location is 44 cm from the supporting surface.

The upper one, also in relation to the supporting surface, is 105 cm. The maximum cutting angle of DZ 28 knives is 60 degrees. The angles of transverse warp and plan warp are 5 degrees, respectively. and 63-90 degrees.

The blade, skew angles, and direction of rotation are controlled manually using a cable-pulley system.

The DZ 28 bulldozer is equipped with a load lifter with 2 hydraulic pumps and a friction winch type NSh-98U. Executive hydraulic pumps provide a pressure of 10 MPa. Gearbox (8 speeds x 4 shafts) – mechanical type with a double-disc closed clutch. Gearbox gears are constant mesh.

The speed of the bulldozer in transport position is 8.8-12.25 km/h. The working speed of the bulldozer depends on the type of work performed. For example, when cutting soil and moving it further, the average speed is 3.5 km/h, when moving back in reverse gear – from 4.9 km/h. up to 9.9 km/h.

Driver's cabin

The T-25 model is distinguished not only by its excellent performance characteristics. The engineers who designed this bulldozer also took care of the people working on them. The driver's cabin in these tractors is equipped as comfortable as possible. The driver's workplace is provided with:

  • lighting;
  • heating system;
  • ventilation system.

The seats in the Chetra T-25 cabin are soft. If desired, the driver can use the cigarette lighter or one of two sockets. Of course, there is a seat belt in the tractor cab. This bulldozer has double glass. Consumers also include improved sound insulation as an advantage of this model. In addition, for the convenience of the driver, the cab of the car is installed on rubber shock absorbers. By additional order from the enterprise, modern air conditioners can also be installed on Chetra tractors.

Interesting Facts

The T-25 tractor is actually used very widely these days. For example, it was these domestic bulldozers that once took part in one of the largest construction projects of the 2000s - the laying of Blue Stream gas pipes. This pipeline, which is very important for the country’s economy, was extended to Turkey along the bottom of the Black Sea in 2001-2002.

Also, T-25 bulldozers were widely used when laying the Sakhalin-2 pipeline. Under this project, two offshore oil fields were developed. Its implementation began in 1996. The second stage of the project ended at the end of the 2000s. At that time, a pipeline was being laid to the southern part of Sakhalin Island, where oil export terminals and a gas processing plant were then built.
