"Akros" is a combine harvester designed primarily for harvesting very large areas of high-yielding crops at high speed and without wasting time. During the season, using models of this brand, you can harvest more than 1000 hectares of grain and row crops (corn and sunflower).

Today it offers agricultural enterprises only four lines of this equipment. This is the Akros combine 530, 560, 580 and 590. Design and service features

The Akros 530 combine harvester received a standard layout (cabin, bunker, engine). A similar scheme has proven itself well on other machines of the brand. The cabin was located directly in the center, thanks to which the noise level was reduced and the area for servicing the engine was expanded.

A hydrostatic transmission was chosen for the combine, which has a number of advantages over a mechanical transmission. Minimal friction reduces wear, allowing for less maintenance time. The operator could adjust the speed in a stepless manner, and the transmission efficiency was maximized. The distribution of the kinematic transmission was carried out evenly, with no more than 2 consumers per shaft.

The hydraulic system included several hydraulic pumps, which supplied power to the attachments, steering and hydrostatic transmission. In this case, the elements had a common tank with oil. Dividing the system into separate circuits ensured uninterrupted operation of the units regardless of the load.

The steering operated hydraulically. For a large combine, this arrangement was especially convenient, since it reduced the operator's workload and ensured optimal control accuracy.

The combine's attachments have a number of specific features. Along with the start of production of the Acros 530 family, Rostselmash began production of advanced headers called Power Stream. Compared to previous Russian models, they were distinguished by high strength and low weight. The header was attached with hinges frontally to the inclined chamber and was equipped with a balancing mechanism, an automatic terrain control system in several directions (transverse and longitudinal), a 5-blade reel and an auger. The reel with a special trajectory of movement and the long tines of the rake confidently processed lodged and twisted bread. Previous models of headers had less efficiency in working with them. Thanks to the large diameter of the auger, winding of high-stem grains was practically eliminated. The need for additional fingers due to the deep turns of the auger has disappeared. The height of the cut of raw materials by the header was adjusted. At the same time, the reaping part completely copied the transverse and longitudinal area of ​​the field, using the working surface as efficiently as possible.

The operation of the reel was controlled by a hydraulic drive. For faster cleaning of the header, reverse was used. The control of the reaping part (speed adjustment, moving up and down, moving the reel in horizontal and vertical zones) was carried out using electro-hydraulic equipment. Another advantage of the new element is the ability to control it from the cockpit. Optionally, the combines were equipped with the Level Glide system, which reduces grain losses.

The following unique systems were also used in the design of the Akros 530 model:

  • Adviser – on-board information system with voice notification;
  • Smart Launch – a bunker unloading function that reduces the risk of clogging and increases unloading speed;
  • JamControl is a mechanism for deep dumping of the drum deck, eliminating clogging with grain mass.

The Akros 530 cabin significantly surpassed all domestic analogues in terms of comfort. Working conditions on Russian combines have never been so modern.

The first modifications of the Acros 530 were equipped with a 4-stroke V-shaped diesel engine with turbocharging and liquid cooling, model YaMZ 236BK (manufacturer: Yaroslavl Motor Plant). These motors were also installed on Yenisei 860 combines (Krasnoyarsk Combine Plant). The unit had compression ignition, intercooling of charge air and direct fuel injection. The engine was adapted to Russian operating conditions and withstood significant loads.
