Wheeled tractor T-25 Vladimirets - technical characteristics

T25 tractor wheels and tires

The T-25 tractor is driven, the wheels are on pneumatic tires.
The number of wheels is four. The tractor has one driving rear axle, regular profile wheels of 15.5/38 inches. The load on the rear wheels is 80% of the total load, which ensures the stability of the tractor when performing field work. The front wheels of the tractor are steerable and have less load on them. When using a tractor with attachments, the front wheels may lift off the ground and the tractor may lose control when loads are attached to the front part of the tractor frame. Weights are also added to the rear wheels to increase traction due to gravity. It is possible to fill the drive wheels with liquid. The T-25 tractor has front and rear wheels of different sizes. The rear wheels of a tractor consist of a rim, a disk and a tire. The front wheels of the T25 tractor are discless, the rim is bolted to the hub. The rear wheel disc is also bolted to the rim. The bolted connection is made in order to change the tractor track width.

Tractor size ratios vary. Drive wheel tire with increased lugs, forming a “Christmas tree” pattern. The supporting area of the lugs is 25 – 35%, height 35/43 mm. With the help of such a tread, the wheels reliably engage the soil. The front wheels have a pattern of longitudinal ribs, which stabilizes the direction of movement. Regular profile tractor tires are designated: 9.00 by 20 inches, low profile 18.4L by 30. Radial tires size 15.5/R38, 21.3/R24. The first numbers indicate the profile width in inches, the next numbers indicate the inner seat diameter of the tire in inches. Letters: R - radial tire, L - low-profile tire, if there is no letter, then diagonal. When operating the tractor on wet soils, tire adhesion to the soil decreases, wheel slip increases, and tractor operation becomes impossible. To increase the maneuverability of the tractor, various devices are used. Wide-profile tires are installed instead of conventional pneumatic tires. The rear wheels are doubled by adding an additional wheel to the main wheel using a spacer. With dual wheels, slipping is reduced and traction force is increased. Reducing tire pressure increases the contact area of the tire, but also reduces the service life of the tire. Additional weights on the drive wheels will increase the tractor's traction force. Several weights of twenty kilograms each are attached to one wheel.

Tires for the T25 tractor can be different, as well as the conditions in which they are used.

Tires for the T25 tractor must match their equipment and be just as reliable; for this, the tires must be selected correctly, taking into account the conditions in which they will be used.

If tires for the T25 tractor will be used in winter (for example, for snow removal), they must have traction on icy surfaces, which is ensured by the characteristic large tread pattern.

This tractor is also used for construction purposes: the ground under the wheels on a construction site is not always dry and hard, it can be washed out and very difficult to drive on; of course, such conditions require special tires for the T25 tractor.

Also, the T25 tractor can be used on a regular asphalt road; to work on such a surface you need regular, universal tires with puncture protection.

To summarize, we can conclude: in order to buy tires for the T25 tractor, you need to decide on the place of its use, this will allow you to maximize the capabilities of the tires, which will ensure reliable and efficient operation of the tractor.

Acceptable tire sizes for rear wheels: 12.4-28, 240-813mm (9.5-32″), 270-711mm (10-28″).

Acceptable tire sizes for front wheels: 170-406 mm (6-16”), 150-406 mm (5.5-16”)

Rural residents now have many tractors for personal use, mostly from Soviet production; the most popular are the inexpensive and reliable T-16 and T-25. It is clear that they were not purchased from a store, but from collapsed state farms and enterprises, where they had previously been used almost year-round and in different conditions.

But, most importantly, where to buy a tractor, even if it’s not running, restoring and repairing it is not a problem. In a private household, such a tractor will last for many years after repair, but one owner treats his property more carefully.

But sooner or later he still faces the problem of replacing wheels. Old Soviet wheels, as a rule, having served for a couple of decades, are completely worn out without lugs, although the main cord is still good. Of course, you can buy new wheels, having saved up a fair amount of money, but as practice has shown, those who supplied such tires from modern manufacturers were very disappointed.

The very next year, deep cracks appear along the entire circumference of the wheels and it becomes clear that they will not last long. Not accustomed to throwing money down the drain, most owners of such tractors began to install wheels from various road equipment and heavy-duty vehicles instead of factory ones.

The most successful were the wheels from the old SK-3 and SK-4 combines, although finding them now is quite difficult. In remote villages you can still get such wheels; thrifty machine operators usually cleaned them up after the combine was cut into scrap metal. Basically, such wheels were left in order to eventually line a well with them or make a raft on a pond.

The outer diameter of such wheels coincides with the factory T-16, they are just a little wider and heavier, but this does not affect the cross-country ability at all; the loss of power is almost not noticeable. Due to the high cost and unreliability of tractor wheels from modern manufacturers, one of the residents of our village actually made iron wheels, like those of a walk-behind tractor, and even rode on them for some time. He plowed the gardens and hitched a cart, hauling garbage, and although over time he managed to install standard wheels, he tidied up the iron ones just in case.

The use of wheels from various equipment on the T-16 and T-25 tractors speaks of the advantages of Soviet tractors and the fact that old tractors will be in demand by rural residents for a long time.

Tractor rubber has increased wear resistance; it easily moves over different types of soil and holes, ensuring a stable position of the equipment. Properties of agricultural tires:

  • Ability to withstand heavy loads;
  • Puncture resistance;
  • Excellent road grip.

Tires with a herringbone tread pattern have a long service life. This pattern is suitable for working in areas of frequent rain. Due to the softness of the tread, the noise level is reduced, which ensures comfortable work.

TRACTOR WHEELS AND PNEUMATIC TIRES OF TRACTOR T-25

Rear drive wheel of the T-25 tractor

The rear drive wheel consists of a stamped steel disk, a profiled rim and a low-pressure tire. The tire cover has lugs on its outer surface, the size, shape and location of which ensure good adhesion of the tire to the soil and self-cleaning of the tire from dirt during operation. There is an arrow on the side surface of the tire that indicates the direction of rotation of the tire when it is installed on the tractor. Incorrect installation of the spike accelerates its wear and leads to rapid sticking when working on wet soil. Therefore, when installing the drive wheels on the tractor, you must ensure that the direction of rotation of the tire coincides with the arrow on the tire (the ends of the lugs must converge in the direction of rotation of the tire). When reconfiguring the tractor for long-term operation in reverse, be sure to swap the right and left wheels.

In the T-25S1 modification, drive wheel tires measuring 240–813 mm (9–32″) are installed on the tractor. The small width of these tires makes it possible to use the tractor for inter-row cultivation with the necessary protective zone.

A rubber tube with a water-air valve and a tire cover are placed on the rim. On the inner surface of the rim there are six welded posts to which the wheel disc is secured using carriage bolts. The convex part of the disk is attached to the flange of the rear wheel axle with bolts with cone heads. By turning the rim of the drive wheel relative to the disk and changing the position of the disk relative to the flange of the drive wheel axis, the tractor track is adjusted within the range of 1100-1500 mm.

In the T-25 C2 modification, drive wheel tires measuring 270–711 mm (10–28″) are installed on the tractor. The use of such tires increases the traction power of the tractor, reduces soil compaction and allows you to hang heavier machines and implements (sprayers, loaders, etc.) weighing up to 575 kg on the tractor.

Tires measuring 10–28″ are wider than tires 9–32″, and therefore their use in inter-row cultivation of row crops is limited. They are intended primarily for transport work and general agricultural work. A tire rim measuring 10-28″ has four posts with which it is attached to the rim. The tractor track with 10-28″ spikes is adjusted in the range of 1200-1470 mm.

The air pressure in the tires of the drive wheels should be 0.8-0.9 kg/cm2 for field work, and 0.9-1.2 kg/cm2 for transport work. When the tire pressure decreases to 0.8 kg/cm2, the compression of the cylinder from the weight of the tractor increases and the contact area of the tire with the soil increases, which increases the traction of the tractor and reduces its slipping on soft soil. As the tire pressure increases, its load capacity increases. The maximum permissible pressure for a 9-32″ tire is 2 kg/cm2.

To increase the adhesion weight of the tractor, water is poured into the tire chambers of the driving wheels through a water-air valve to 3/4 of the chamber volume (40-45 kg) and air is pumped to a pressure of 0.8-0.9 kg/cm2.

What is the tire size on the T 25 tractor?

Front wheel tire size is 150–406 mm or 5.5–16″, where the first number is the tire width and the second number is the fit size. Since 1971, the T-25 tractor has been equipped with a size of 170–406 mm, or 6–16″. The driving wheel tires in the C1 modification are 240-813mm or 9-32″, which allows the tractor to be used for inter-row cultivation. The C2 modification has drive wheel tires of 270–711 mm or 10–28″. Installing such tires increases the traction power of the tractor.

Why doesn't the front axle turn in one direction on the T 40 tractor?

If on the T-40, with the clutch completely disengaged, the front axle does not engage in one direction, it means that the adjustment of the locking mechanism is incorrect. It needs to be adjusted again.

We shift the gearbox to neutral and release the main clutch pedal. That is, we leave the clutch on.

Unsplit the fork pin and remove it from the locking lever.

We press the locking lever and move it to the rearmost position so that it corresponds to the engaged position of the clutch.

We unscrew the fork and select the length of the rod so that when the lever is in the rearmost position, the rod can be connected.

After this, we pin the fork pin.

How does wheel size affect fuel consumption?

The larger the wheels (including the width of the rims and tires, as well as the diameter of the rim itself), the more the wheels, and therefore the car itself, weigh. A larger weight requires a larger moment of inertia because the motor requires more force to produce the angular acceleration of the wheel. The larger the wheel size, the larger the lever arm, which means, again, more torque is needed to accelerate the wheel and, accordingly, the car, which increases fuel consumption.

Introductory information

Order spare parts for T-25 T-25

is a brand of one of the most common domestic wheeled tractors. Its production began almost fifty years ago, in nineteen sixty-six, and continues to this day. Over its history, it has gone through assemblies from various enterprises and many modernizations. Its main purpose is agricultural work, such as plowing, using a mower, and transporting various goods. Without a doubt, the profile of this working machine is familiar to every Russian. One of the most characteristic external features are wheels of different sizes - huge rear ones (by the way, they are used for drive) and small front ones. This means tractor tires for the T-25 come in different sizes. “Shoeing” of wheels is generally a difficult topic that deserves detailed consideration.

History of creation

The T-25 tractor was created at the Kharkov Tractor Plant and is a logical continuation of a number of models of this enterprise: KhTZ-7, DT-14, DT-20. It was produced here for four years, until 1970, when gradually, in separate units, they began to transfer the production of the machine to the Vladimir Tractor Plant. Further improvement and production of the tractor are already associated with this enterprise.

The T-25 tractor was created on the basis of the DT-20 tractor. Upgrading the model, the 18 hp diesel engine. With. replaced with a more powerful one (20 hp), introduced a permanently closed clutch, an inclined steering column, more advanced floating brakes, changed all the controls, installed a more comfortable, sprung seat and developed a more modern design. Thanks to an increase in engine power and a slight increase in operating and transport speeds, the productivity of the unit has increased. A more convenient location of the controls improved working conditions and made it easier to operate the tractor.

Guys, has anyone installed rear tires with a wide profile on the T25? if they installed it, why?

Anatoly (Florence) Alexander Chesnokov00:32 Rear of the Don-1500 combine; size 18.4x24, comes complete with disks. both on the T-25 and on the T-16. I don't remember the model; If you need it, I'll take a look tomorrow, 4 layers of cord... Go ahead, you won't regret the speed, the air suspension, and the cross-country ability. The disadvantages are that it is maneuverable and the door on the cab must be closed when moving backwards.

Anatoly (Florence) Go to your friend and he will explain everything.

Pavel (Jaabir) And it fits the hub.

Anatoly (Florence) I can’t answer you. Go to ALEXANDER Chesnokov, his tractor with wide tires, in the first album he will explain everything.

Pavel (Jaabir) Thank you Anatoly

Yuri (Zhuo) cut out a disk and simmer with the rad disk. And you can’t forget about passing technical inspection

Pavel (Jaabir) what kind of inspection, it doesn’t have documents. For me, the main thing is functionality.

Yuri (Zhuo) find tires with Kambain rims. Do it out of the blue. There are many who have overcooked us. Ana even according to wasata is the same.

Rustam (Mitch) From Ural-375

Pavel (Jaabir) thank you

Rustam (Mitch) outer diameter is exactly the same

Rustam (Mitch) bro! Have you changed the brake bands? and here the forester tells me that it is possible to change the unsown stocking?

Pavel (Jaabir) changed the top cover. You hold the top cover with a wire by the tape and a crowbar from there. Then you put the wire under the drum, insert the tape as far as you can. And also the wire by the tape and the crowbar. In one movement it is in place.

Rustam (Mitch) Thanks bro! And then the tape will lie evenly on the drum?

Pavel (Jaabir) Where will it go? The tensioner will straighten it out.

Denis )))))))) From Kamb. Don 1500 rear

Yuri (Zhuo) from the Urals put. I saw it myself. Only the wheels need to be redone

Vyacheslav (Kavela) I also installed it from the Urals. I widened the ganov disks by 8 or 7 cm, I don’t remember, and sharpened the washers for the studs and boiled them after alignment

Alexander (Surasmi) I installed wheels from Combaen SK 4 and from the Urals, I just digested the wheels from the Urals in winter, it’s impossible to drive, especially with the Ana Combaen cart, over time the stockings unscrew, I bought them home after such wheels, I dragged the axle shaft, it broke off well next to the house, so decide for yourself whether they’re worth it or not my experience was like this

Alexander (Surasmi) I installed it with sk4, then when the tires wore out I installed front tires from MTZ1221 360.70-r24 on the same wheels

Further development of the tractor

The following year, 1973, the Vladimir Tractor Plant launched production of a new modification of this agricultural machine under the symbol 25A, which differed from the previous one in the presence of a cabin and slightly increased engine power. In terms of the number of cars produced, the model with the “A” index was a real record holder: over the years of production, a total of 731,700 units were produced against 99,000 cars of the previous modification.

The subsequent modification with the index “A3” was the final one for the tractor model we are describing. Its distinctive feature was the appearance of a safety cage, so VTZ made only a small technical tuning of the T-25 tractor.

Although the “Vladimirets” today can be called an outdated machine, which is being replaced by new models, including its direct descendants, produced by the same VTZ, however, in the endless fields and expanses of our country, this equipment is found everywhere. That is why the question of where to get tires for the T-25 tractor is more than relevant, although they are sold by many domestic stores. However, even despite the widespread availability of rubber for this type of tractor, let us remind you that following a few simple rules will allow you to significantly extend their life.

Availability

Considering its volume, many sellers deal in components for agricultural tractor equipment. For such a common tractor model as the T-25, finding any spare parts is not a problem. You will find a number of offers in any town, and the price will be regulated by competition. It is more difficult to choose the best option from all that is available.

The best situation is when you trust the seller, and he understands the subject of purchase. Of course, this product requires a warranty and the possibility of technical service.

I've already welded 4-bolt discs for two people, the rim starts to tear on them in the places where the lugs are welded to which the plate is screwed. Of course, it may also be the tractor drivers’ fault, they didn’t look after the bolts and didn’t tighten them on time.

T-25 engine

The T-25 tractor is equipped with a D-21 diesel engine, four-stroke, compressor-free, air-cooled. This is a two-cylinder model from a family of air-cooled diesel engines developed at Volzhsky Plant under the leadership of V.V. Efros. These diesel engines have many parts unified: the crank mechanism (piston, connecting rod, piston rings, connecting rod and main bearings), the gas distribution mechanism (with the exception of the camshaft), cylinders and cylinder heads.

The engine operates with compression ignition and direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber located at the crown of the piston. It starts on diesel fuel with an electric starter and develops a power of 20 hp. at 1600 rpm.

To balance the engine and eliminate vibration, a special mechanism is provided, which is a roller with counterweights attached to it. The cylinders are arranged vertically. The engine is equipped with a single-plunger distribution-type pump with an all-mode regulator. The nozzle is pinless, closed, with a multi-hole nozzle. Diesel fuel is cleaned in a coarse settling filter, followed by fine cleaning in a filter with a replaceable element made of filter paper or brooch yarn.

The air entering the engine passes through a three-stage air cleaner. Combined lubrication system: under pressure and splashing. The pressure in the oil line is created by a gear pump, which is driven by the crankshaft. The oil is purified in a full-flow jet centrifuge. Air cooling, forced. The fan is axial, mounted on the same shaft as the generator.

Seasonal thermal regulation using a removable disk. When starting the engine, a glow plug and a decompressor mechanism are used. The engine is equipped with a spark arrestor muffler.

Injection pump repair

The maximum idle speed of a diesel engine can be adjusted by changing the spring stiffness level by changing the number of its working turns.

High pressure fuel pump repair:

  1. Install the fuel injection pump on the stand and connect the fuel wire.
  2. Adjust the starting fuel supply by 50-100%.
  3. Unscrew the screw and set the control lever to the extreme position for maximum speed.
  4. Tighten the corrector screw until it stops.
  5. Set the required fuel supply at the rated camshaft speed by moving the housing relative to the cover.
  6. Adjust the start of fan operation to 10-15 rpm.
  7. Check the fuel supply at nominal mode.
  8. Test the complete shutdown of the fuel supply through the injectors.
  9. Adjust the pump camshaft speed.
  10. Unscrew the adjuster screw and adjust the fuel supply in accordance with the required engine torque reserve.

Mass production of tractors in Russia began in the 30s of the 20th century. They began to be produced at large factories in Kharkov, Chelyabinsk, and Stalingrad. During the Second World War (1943-1945), a new tractor plant was built in Vladimir. During 1972, the first improved T 25 Vladimirets tractors rolled off the VTZ assembly line. Before this, the Vladimir plant assembled simplified configurations of agricultural machines - Universal, DT-24. The first model had metal wheels and a carburetor engine. The second has tires on wheels and an engine running on diesel fuel. The T25 tractor for universal use for agriculture and municipal services was developed and put into mass production in Kharkov (1966).

After 6 years, the manufacturing technology was transferred to VTZ. In honor of the plant, the T25 tractor began to be called Vladimirets. The number 25 in the model name is not accidental; the first engines had a power of 25 hp. Over the 28 years from 1972 to 2000, the plant produced 830 thousand T25 mini-tractors for agricultural enterprises, farms and public utilities. Due to financial problems, VMTZ, which produces Vladimirets tractors, was closed. Now T25 modifications are produced at other enterprises. The question of how much a new T 25 tractor costs is still relevant. Farmers are also interested in used agricultural machinery.

T 25 was assembled at the Vladimir Tractor Plant

Unit motor design

The design of the machine is based on a time-tested, reliable four-stroke engine, working together with an air cooling system and a gear starter. A family of motors specifically for the tractor was developed at the Vladimir plant. The model range includes 2-, 4- and 6-cylinder engines, equipped with a large number of standardized elements. As standard, the T-25 is equipped with a two-cylinder D21A1 engine with a rated power of 27 hp. With. The power of this engine model may vary slightly depending on the generator connection diagram. Provided the fuel pump is adjusted correctly, the engine will consume a minimum amount of fuel and lubricants. The design of the engine is simple and easy to repair yourself. One of the main features of the engine is the presence of a dual lubrication system that operates under splash and pressure. Thanks to the presence of this unit, the T-25 and its modification, the T25 100, is a universal tractor that can withstand operation at any time of the year and under any working conditions.

With a warm engine and a working battery with a continuous color electrical circuit, the oil pressure at nominal speed is about 3 kgf/cm2. The t25 tractor cannot be left idling for a long time.

The motor device is secured using three supports. Elastic front supports are located on the semi-frame on special rubber pads and securely hold the motor through a rigid connection. The rear part of the engine is fixed to the tractor connecting body by means of a crankcase flange.

Reliability of motor fixation significantly expands the tractor's capabilities. It can be confidently used with a bucket - in this case, the engine will not tear off one of the semi-frames, as often happens with tractors of other brands. Both as a cultivator and as a loader, the unit will show high efficiency and endurance, and its elements will be securely held in the structure. Even if some parts do fail, they can always be quickly replaced with homemade ones - this will have virtually no effect on the operation of the machine.

Nuances of choice

Tires for agricultural machinery are a specific industry that requires knowledge and experience. Even choosing from the assortment available on the market is not an easy task - the most difficult thing is to assess the ratio of quality and cost. Both can vary noticeably and do not always depend on each other.

Correctly selected tractor tires

significantly affect the capabilities of the technology and do not require constant attention. Do not underestimate their role in the operation of the T-25.

Let's try to briefly go through the selection criteria:

  • First and most importantly, a tractor tire should be selected based on its operating conditions. More precisely, the type of soil. The more moisture in the soil, the higher the lugs should be and the greater the angle of inclination. And vice versa. Depending on the humidity, the number of ribs is selected. Both permeability and functionality depend on this. Slipping of drive wheels is a pressing topic that takes a lot of effort and time.
  • Estimated load. The wider the treads, the better, in this case. The same applies to cross-country ability. In no case should the load be higher than the calculated load guaranteed by the manufacturer. The question of determining uniform requirements and criteria for the impact of agricultural machinery on soil has been raised for quite some time, but for now it remains open.
  • Disk type. They must match tractor tires for the T-25, which is not always the case in practice. Unfortunately, not even all sellers understand this.

Of course, we must not forget about regulatory documentation. Everything must comply with GOST 7463-2003 “Pneumatic tires for tractors and agricultural machines.” This GOST regulates all basic values. In another document, OST 38-004-75—76, you can find a detailed procedure for selecting and agreeing on the use of tractor tires for the T-25

Description and technical specifications

The small-sized wheeled tractor Vladimirets is used to transport goods weighing up to 600 kg. With its help, labor is mechanized on livestock and poultry farms. Main purpose of T25:

  • inter-row cultivation of all types of row crops;
  • plowing of soils in fruit and berry orchards, vineyards, greenhouses;
  • cleaning, planting vegetables;
  • sowing of cereals;
  • weed control;
  • pest control;
  • making hay.

Farmers engaged in making hay note that the T 25 Vladimirets tractor with a rotary mower copes with this work perfectly.

Engine

To operate the power systems of the tractor, a unified model D21A1 is installed in the front part. The unit is mounted on 3 structural supports. Its dimensions are 689 × 628 × 865 mm, weight 260-290 kg. While inside the cab, the operator starts the diesel engine of the T 25 tractor with an electric starter (from a 12 V battery). It takes 3-5 seconds to start. Operating temperature range from -40 °C to +40 °C. A feature of the T25 engine is a combined lubrication system. The oil mixture enters the gear pump, then under pressure to the rubbing parts of the power unit. Oil pump capacity is 12 l/hour at a speed of 1400 rpm.

During operation of the D21A1, diesel fuel undergoes coarse and fine cleaning:

  • 1st stage – sediment filter;
  • Stage 2 – replaceable filters.

The D21A1 is protected from overheating by a cooling system (forced, air). A three-stage air cleaner cleans the air entering the engine. Unified parts are another important advantage of D21.

Dimensions

On farms and in industrial greenhouses they work only on small-sized equipment. The dimensions of the T 25 tractor meet this requirement. The maneuverability of the unit depends on the track size parameter. In all modifications of Vladimirets it can be adjusted.

The small-sized tractor performs the entire range of agricultural work in the speed range of 1.5-21 km/h. Vladimirets' mobility is ensured by a mechanic's gearbox with transverse shafts. The T25 gearbox locking device installed on the cover performs useful functions:

  • when the clutch is not fully disengaged (engaged), it does not allow you to change gears;
  • protects gears from premature wear.

In outdated configurations of Vladimirets, the gear formula is 6 + 4. In more modern modifications of the T25 there are 14 gears: forward - 8 (2 slow, 6 reverse), 6 rear. Speeds are switched by two levers with slides. Structural elements of the T25 gearbox:

  • mechanical drive;
  • reverse;
  • clutch;
  • central gear;
  • differential.

The intermediate link of the PTO engagement mechanism is mounted in the central gear of the tractor. Sleeves (brake) are attached to the T 25 transmission housing, and the final drives are connected to them. Their position determines the operating parameters of Vladimirets: ground clearance, longitudinal base.

Chassis

Vladimirets has a standard chassis, consisting of driving rear wheels, a front axle, a T25 frame, and guides for the front wheels.

Steering

The principle of operation of the Vladimirets steering differs from that of a car. A diagram that shows all the elements of the system helps to understand it:

  • steering wheel;
  • drive gear shank;
  • driven gear;
  • upper crankcase;
  • steering shaft;
  • steering column;
  • video clip;
  • worm;
  • lower crankcase;
  • bipod shaft.

When the steering wheel is turned, through the elements of the steering system, the movement is transmitted to the steering longitudinal rod, the rotary double-arm lever, and the steering linkage. This causes the front wheels to turn. The steering wheel play should not exceed 15-20°. It is adjusted using the coupling bolts of the bipod arm fastenings and the steering shaft bearing nuts.

Operator's cabin

In the basic configuration of the T25, there is a single-seat cabin, rectangular in shape, made of metal, and has a good overview. A set of rear-view mirrors makes the work of the tractor operator easier. They are located on the left and right windows. In bad weather, the T25 windshield wiper improves visibility. The operator can adjust the position of the seat relative to the steering wheel (move, move). The tractor cabin is equipped with additional options:

  • lighting;
  • heating;
  • ventilation.

Main components and assemblies of the machine

Power point

Diesel engine with four working strokes, two-cylinder D-21, air-cooled and a pair of vertically arranged cylinders.

A naturally aspirated diesel engine is equipped with:

  • direct fuel injection unit with a single plunger pump;
  • device for mechanical all-mode speed control;
  • closed-type pinless nozzles;
  • a three-stage air cleaner, through which air passes before being supplied to the cylinders;
  • a combined lubrication system - oil, passing through a gear pump, is supplied to the parts under pressure and sprayed;
  • a settling filter for coarse purification of the oil mixture, the oil is further purified with replaceable paper filter elements in the fine filter housing;
  • forced air cooling system with an axial fan on the generator shaft;
  • a starting device consisting of a 12 V electric starter, a decompression mechanism and a glow plug;
  • muffler with spark extinguishing function.

Power transmission

The single-plate dry clutch mechanism is constantly closed; the mechanism is turned off using a foot pedal through a mechanical drive.

The housing with a single transmission housing contains:

  • gearboxes and reverse;
  • cross-wheel bevel differential assembly with satellites;
  • main transmission mechanisms.

The gearbox provides 6 reversible torque transmission modes for driving the car at a speed of 5.4 to 20.5 km/h. The doubler allows the use of 2 retarding gears at speeds of 1.66 and 2.45 km/h. Modes are switched by levers with a rocker mechanism.

The onboard brake units are attached to the transmission housing perpendicular to the machine axis, on which the final drives are mounted - gear units in a single-stage design.

Power take-off for additional equipment is provided through a shaft with a dependent drive and a drive pulley of the gearbox shaft shank, both mechanisms are mounted at the rear of the tractor.

Propulsion system

Movement and direction selection are provided by the front axle and driving rear pneumatic wheels with tire sizes 9-32 or 10-28.

Front axle wheels of size 5.5-16 are steerable. It is possible to change the track of the unit from 1.1 to 1.5 m in increments of 5 cm. The ground clearance changes from 0.308 to 0.515 m.

The tubular axle of the front axle is secured by a bracket to the axle of the half-frame and allows vertical and horizontal movement.

The machine is controlled mechanically through a steering mechanism. The steering column is inclined. The unit consists of a steering wheel, a control column, a screw shaft (worm), and bevel-type gears.

The turning force is transmitted through the shaft to the worm pair, the bipod shaft, the bipod, and the lower part of the rotary rod. Through the steering linkage units, the steering wheels are affected.

Hydraulic system components

The system is unified for tractors produced in Vladimirov and allows the tractor driver, without an assistant, to connect the machine with the drawbar of trailing devices and mechanisms, and control the hydraulic actuators.

The gear-type pumping unit is unregulated; the shaft receives rotation from the diesel flywheel. It is activated by a manual handle acting on a ball clutch.

Fluid flow control by two spool valves with settings: neutral, rise, descent, floating.

Hydraulic lifting mechanism of attachments

The following are mounted on a metal frame: a hydraulic system filter, a lifting mechanism, a double-acting hydraulic power cylinder and a traction joint attachment unit.

The single-seat, two-door cabin is equipped with ventilation and heating systems. Sufficient glass area and installed lighting devices allow the tractor driver to visually monitor the work area.

Chassis and control of the T-25A tractor

The driving axle on the T-25 tractor is the rear axle, the front axle serves as a support for the front part of the tractor and ensures a change in the direction of movement of the tractor using the steering.

The front axle of the machine consists of rods and levers of the steering linkage, steering knuckles and axles, a transverse balancer and wheel hubs.

The steel balancer has bosses in its middle part; hardened, high-strength steel bushings are cemented into these bosses. An axle passes through these bushings, which is secured with a pinch and cone bolt in the front of the semi-frame, and acts as the rolling axis of the bridge. The articulated joint allows the front axle, regardless of the tractor frame and rear wheels, to follow uneven surfaces. The tides made in the upper part of the balancer limit the rolling angles, resting against the half-frame mount.

At the ends of the balancer, the steering knuckles are secured in special cuts with coupling bolts. There are four holes in each fist to adjust the track width. By moving the pin into different holes, the track width of the bridge changes.

The rear drive wheels consist of a stamped steel disk with a rim and low-pressure tires. For good wheel grip and self-cleaning of the tires during operation, the outside tires are equipped with a herringbone tread.

A sealed rubber bladder with an air valve and a tire are placed on the rim. On the inside, the rim has six welded posts, to which the disc is attached with bolts. The disk with its convex part is attached with cone bolts to the flange of the rear wheel axle. By rotating the disc relative to the axle flange, as well as rotating the rim relative to the disc, you can adjust the track of the rear wheels within the range of 1200–1500 mm.

Tire pressure when performing work in the field should be 0.8–0.9 kg/cm2, and during transport work 0.9–1.2 kg/cm2.

Design of the rear drive wheels of the T-25 tractor

The rear wheel consists of a stamped steel disk with a profiled rim and a tire inside. Their outer surface is equipped with a special tread (a convex pattern on the outside of the wheel), which ensures good grip of the wheels on the soil.

This is interesting! The tread also ensures self-cleaning of the tire.

It is imperative to pay attention to the side surface of the tire, because it is on it that the guide arrow is located. It indicates the correct direction of wheel rotation, which must be taken into account when mounting the wheels.

If the wheels are installed incorrectly, this will lead to:

1. Deterioration of the adhesion process to the surface; 2. Premature wear.

Therefore, do not be lazy, spend a couple of seconds before starting tire fitting work.

Attachments

Additional equipment for agricultural and municipal enterprises is purchased domestically, produced by the Vladimir Tractor Plant, as well as imported, produced by Chinese, Polish, and Ukrainian companies. The most popular attachments for the T 25 tractor:

  • mounted tillage tiller with a working width of 1.6 m, plowing depth up to 0.3 m;
  • PN-ZOR – single-body mounted plow;
  • PN-2-ZOR – double-furrow mounted plow;
  • DTZ-1 Tm – potato digger;
  • KSO-2.1 – cultivator;
  • dump;
  • disc harrow;
  • seeder;
  • mowers of both types (rotary, segmental);
  • trailer;
  • capacitive sprayer;
  • Boer;
  • snow dump.

For T25, additional equipment is selected taking into account the 0.6 traction class. The rear linkage of Vladimirets is complemented by a hydraulic system. It is responsible for the lifting and position of mounted and trailed units. The design of the Vladimirets rear linkage is three-point, equipped with limit chains.

The ideal path to purchase

So, if we summarize what has been said, then purchasing tires for tractor equipment

must be preceded by the following stages:

  • Determination of operating conditions for the T-25 in each specific case.
  • Formulation of the main tire parameters based on the previous paragraph and standards.
  • Search, evaluation and selection. It is better if a professional helps you with this.

Tractor tires for the T-25 are reliable and durable, just like the machine itself. Properly selected, they will last a long time, withstanding heavy loads in the most difficult working conditions. It is not for nothing that they are also widespread, despite the appearance of foreign technology from world leaders. Over the decades of the open market, the T-25 has managed not to lose its segment, remaining the most popular model that can be seen everywhere, in every corner of our country.
