    Iveco Daily model rangeIveco Daily have been produced by Iveco SpA (Italy) since 1978. From the first days of production to the present day, Iveco Daly light-duty trucks have retained their frame design, which distinguishes them from most competitors. The presence of a frame allows you to increase the carrying capacity of vehicles without the need to increase dimensions, as well as create full-fledged off-road versions of the Iveco Daily 4x4.

    New Daily Chassis: makes difficult work easy

    The strength of a heavy truck with the handling of a light van: The new Daily chassis is ideal for use on construction sites.

    It demonstrates excellent maneuverability in the city and high cruising speed on the highway. Available with single or dual rear wheels, it's built for tough work

    . This vehicle is an ideal solution for the installation of flatbeds, manufactured goods and insulated vans, as well as special superstructures such as refuse collection vehicles, dispensaries and campers.

    The strength of the entire structure is achieved thanks to the ladder-type frame, which can withstand extremely high loads and is ideal for installing any superstructures. The rational chassis design is very popular among superstructure and equipment installers due to its perfectly flat mounting surface. The gearbox can also be equipped with a power take-off with a maximum torque of up to 180 Nm.

    To integrate the electronic systems of the superstructure into the vehicle electronics, a special expansion module is used.

    All connections are made via the CAN bus.

    A double cab version is available for transporting a crew of up to 6 people plus a driver,

    which meets all the requirements for performing various missions on construction sites.
    To drive the new Daily, a category B driving license is required (for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3.5 tonnes).

    Tuning Iveco Daily

    The most common type of tuning for Iveco Daly is chip tuning. The purpose of this operation is most often to remove the electronic speed limit of 90 km/h. In addition, depending on the owner’s preferences, chip tuning can improve engine efficiency or increase its power. External tuning includes the installation of windshields, grilles and deflectors:

    Reviews from Iveco Daily owners

    Since Iveco SpA is constantly working to improve the design of its vehicles, reviews from Iveco Daily owners of different generations often differ. For example, reviews of the 2001 Iveco Daily often noted excessive free play of the brake pedal, insufficiently informative steering wheel and lack of landing handles. On the new generation of Iveco Daly, released in 2006, a convenient handrail appeared on the A-pillar, and a new pedal assembly and a modified power steering with progressive feedback completely solved the problems found on the previous model. With the release of the sixth generation, another defect was eliminated - the previously unadjustable steering column received reach adjustment within 45 mm.

    Typical review of Iveco Daily 50c15:

    I really like the ergonomic cabin - the gearshift lever is conveniently located, the instruments are readable in any weather and at any time of the day. In winter it started normally at -32, the cabin warms up quickly. Iveco Daly heating and ventilation work great. Power 146 hp It’s quite enough for dynamic city driving even with a full load, the engine is flexible, pulls well at the bottom, and the gear ratios in the gearbox are well chosen. I chose between Iveco and Mercedes Sprinter, I never regretted my choice.

    We invite you to watch a detailed test drive of Iveco Daly as well as desktop wallpaper with this car:

    Unrivaled power and environmental friendliness

    The new Daily Van has the widest and most innovative range of engines in the commercial vehicle segment and is synonymous with the best in engine technology and environmental friendliness:

    The adaptation of systems such as Multijet II, Start&Stop and gear indicator provides incredible power, torque, efficiency and very low emissions. Its 2.3 and 3 liter engines provide the car with outstanding elasticity (due to the fact that maximum torque is achieved already at low speeds and remains constant over a wide range). Therefore, it demonstrates excellent performance in any mission. High reliability and conveniently located service stations guarantee reduced downtime and reduced operating costs. The entire range of engines complies with Euro 5 or EEV standards and includes three new developments:

    The new, highly efficient power unit, specially designed to reduce fuel consumption and exhaust emissions, has a displacement of 2.3 liters, is equipped with a variable geometry turbocharging system and a Multijet II fuel injection system, and produces 146 hp. and 350 Nm of torque and is installed together with a specially developed 6-speed gearbox with Start&Stop function and gear shift indicator. These systems are also available for the 2.3-liter engine in power versions of 106 and 126 hp.

    • The most powerful four-cylinder diesel engine on the market with 205 hp. and a displacement of 3 liters, equipped with a Twin Turbo turbocharging system with an intercooler, develops a maximum torque of 470 Nm; this is the first engine of its type to surpass the 200 hp mark. thanks to the use of two turbochargers: one of which has low inertia for immediate response at low speeds, and the second is connected to provide maximum power.

    • A new 146 PS 3-litre diesel engine with variable geometry turbocharging and 370 Nm of torque completes the range of 3-litre engines (170 PS Twin Turbo and 136 PS Natural Power) and completes the EEV engine range (advanced environmentally friendly vehicle), the toxicity of which significantly exceeds established standards.

    The 126-horsepower engine with a displacement of 2.3 liters also increased its torque and now develops 320 Nm. In total, nine engines are now available for the new Daily with power ranging from 106 to 205 hp, developing maximum torque of up to 470 Nm.

    All diesel engines of the new Daily are equipped with a particulate filter as standard.

    The Natural Power gas engine is the leader among gas powertrains and develops 136 hp. and 350 Nm of torque, while having the lowest fuel consumption and exhaust emissions in its class. The Natural Power engine can also run on gasoline in "recovery mode".

    History of Iveco Daily

    A brief history of Iveco Daly is presented in a small but interesting video:

    First generation (production from 1978 to 1990)

    Iveco Daily commercial trucks and vans were developed by specialists from Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Officine Meccaniche as a replacement for the Fiat 241 and Fiat 238 delivery vans. The first generation Iveco Daily was produced in two versions:

    • series 35 with a total weight of 3.5 tons;
    • series 50 with a gross weight of 5.0 tons.

    Photo by Iveco Daly 1978:

    Initially, both modifications could be equipped with a 72-horsepower diesel engine with a volume of 2445 cc, or a 78-horsepower gasoline engine with a volume of 1971 cc. In 1985, they were added to a 2.5 liter injection turbodiesel with a power of 95 hp, installed on the Iveco Turbo Daly model.

    The turbodiesel version is called Iveco Turbo Daily

    Second generation (production from 1990 to 2000)

    Changes made to the design and appearance of the second generation Iveco Daly also required a replacement of the engine line. It was decided to equip cars exclusively with diesel units, which included:

    • 2.5-liter diesel engine with 75 hp;
    • 2.5-liter 103-horsepower turbodiesel with direct injection;
    • 2.5-liter version of the previous tdi engine, boosted to 115 hp;
    • 2.8-liter 85-horsepower naturally aspirated;
    • 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine with 103 hp;
    • 2.8-liter 118-horsepower tdi.

    Van based on the second generation Iveco Daily chassis

    In 1996, the car was modernized, improving the dashboard, braking system and the entire line of engines. The updated power units increased their power and began to comply with Euro-2 environmental standards. In addition to rear-wheel drive Iveco Daily models, all-wheel drive modifications have also appeared.

    Third generation (production from 1999 to 2006)

    Production of the next generation of Iveco Daily began in 1999. The design and overall dimensions of the cabin have changed (the car has become wider and lower), the interior and the technical stuffing have changed.

    The third generation cars have changed their exterior

    ... and interior

    At first, modified engines of the previous generation were installed on the updated Iveco Daly, and since 2003, all cars received new F1 turbodiesels equipped with common rail direct injection. From this moment on, the Iveco Turbo Daily version lost its relevance, but two new modifications appeared: the 6.5-ton Iveco Daily 65 and the 2.8-ton Iveco Daily 28. All cars received one of two engine options:

    • 2.3-liter F1A with 101 and 120 hp, with camshaft belt drive;
    • 3.0-liter F1C, 136 and 166 hp. with timing chain drive.

    Fourth generation (production from 2006 to 2011)

    In 2006, Iveco Daily once again changed its exterior. The new contours of the cabin come from the studio of the famous coachbuilder Italdesign Giugiaro. The output of the most powerful 3.0-liter engine increased to 177 hp, and the gross weight of the trucks reached 7 tons.

    Even now, the design of the fourth generation Iveco Daily does not look outdated

    The engine range was expanded to 6 units:

    • 2.3-liter HPI with 95 hp.
    • 2.3-liter HPI with 114 hp.
    • 2.3-liter HPT with 134 hp.
    • 3.0-liter HPI with 144 hp.
    • 3.0-liter HPT with 174 hp.
    • 3.0-liter CNG with 134 hp.

    In addition, in 2007, an all-wheel drive version of the Iveco Daly 4x4 all-terrain vehicle appeared, which received solid axles on a spring suspension and was equipped with three differential locks, as well as two reduction gears. For the Iveco Daily 4x4, the choice of engines was limited to a 170-horsepower 3.0-liter 16-valve turbodiesel. Like other Iveco Daily cars, the 4x4 version had many options and possibilities for installing additional equipment.

    Fifth generation (production since 2011)

    At the beginning of September 2011, Iveco SpA introduced the fifth generation of Iveco Daily. The new product received new headlights with cornering lights, daytime running lights, a modified bumper and radiator grille, and a new dashboard and climate control appeared in the cabin.

    Video review of the main changes in the new Iveco Daily:

    Most Iveco Daily power units are equipped with the most modern version of the Multijet injection system and comply with Euro 5 requirements. And with the advent of the top-end 3.0-liter 205-horsepower engine with two turbochargers, Iveco Daily’s power exceeded 200 hp for the first time.

    The manufacturer also pays great attention to the safety of Iveco Daily. The number of passive safety systems installed on cars is growing every year. Here's what the results of a small Iveco Daly crash test look like on video:

    Gearbox and suspension

    All gearboxes in the new Daily Van are designed specifically to optimize fuel consumption and emissions.

    The car has two new gearboxes: a lightweight and efficient 6-speed gearbox to improve the efficiency of the 2.3-liter engines and a special 6-speed gearbox to exploit the full potential of the new 205 hp engine with a maximum torque of 470 Nm.

    Daily has a full range of pendants

    to meet the requirements of any mission with a high level of comfort comparable to a passenger car:

    Independent suspension is installed at the front

    with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers and leaf springs (or torsion bar suspension with anti-roll bar);

    The rear uses leaf spring suspension (parabolic or semi-elliptical) or air suspension
