The principle of operation of the PPTs-NEFAZ tank semi-trailer (hereinafter referred to as PPTs) is based on measuring the volume of liquid poured under a measuring angle welded to the neck of the tank shell.

The PPC-NEFAZ tank semi-trailer consists of a welded body, ellipsoidal or circular with variable cross-section, made of sheet aluminum alloy or steel.

The tank body consists of a shell, two elliptical bottoms that limit the tank at the ends, and partitions that divide the tank into compartments. Each compartment is a measure of total capacity. Inside the tank there are breakwater partitions with manhole openings.

A cylindrical neck is welded into the upper part of each tank compartment.

The openings of the necks are closed with covers, which are secured with bolts, nuts and washers.

The tank hatch cover is designed to equip tanks for top and bottom filling technology and meets the requirements for tightness and fire safety of product transportation.

In addition, a breathing valve, a pipe for removing petroleum product vapors (for PPC configurations with bottom filling and recovery of gas-air vapors), and a fuel limit sensor are mounted on the filler hatch.

A measuring square is welded to the inner wall of the neck shell, indicating the maximum upper filling level and is intended for visual control of filling the tank with fuel to a calibrated volume, made of steel. An overhead aluminum plate is attached to the horizontal shelf of the square, flush with the edge of the shelf, using rivets. The angle is welded to the neck and fastened to the wall of the neck using a rivet made of non-ferrous metal.

Bottom valves for draining and loading petroleum products are installed in each compartment.

The tank body is attached to the frame. The suspension components and parts that form the semi-trailer chassis are attached to the lower part of the frame side members.

PPCs are designed for operation in non-garage storage.

Upon request, PPCs are equipped with a fuel dispensing unit, which consists of a SVN-80A pump and a liquid meter SZH-111 Yu-40-0.6 SU (registration No. 44417-10).

The PPCs have a coupling kingpin type 50, version A, in accordance with GOST 12017-81, connecting dimensions in accordance with GOST 12105-74 and are intended for operation with truck tractors that have the appropriate connecting dimensions that ensure coupling with the PPC, and pneumatic and electrical outlets in accordance with GOST 4364-81 and GOST 9200-76.

General characteristics of NefAZ tank semi-trailers

The plant offers consumers dozens of trailer models. In the production of tanks, specialists use their own and foreign components. This policy allows products to compete with European ones. Each NefAZ tank semi-trailer is inspected before setting off on a voyage. “Barrels” are attached to towing vehicles and are capable of transporting different sizes of cargo.

Purpose and benefits

Tankers are used to transport various oils, mineral water and food preparations. Semi-trailers are also used when transporting petroleum products, the website says. Depending on the purpose, there are several configurations of tanks. They may, for example, have a pump.

The large “canister” can be detached from the tractor and sent on its next trip. The tank can “wait” for emptying at a given location. The temperature in it will be maintained.

Another advantage is the capacity of the container. It can be small or reach several tens of cubes.

Design Features

Tanks can be oval, cylindrical and even rectangular. The trailer is attached to the tractor unit. Vehicle equipment may vary. Most often they contain a hatch, a gravity mechanism, a working platform, and locks. Semi-trailers for petroleum products are equipped with a pumping station, hoses, and a fuel nozzle.

Varieties

Cars can transport more than just gasoline and cement. Experts have developed models for transporting milk, mineral water, bitumen, draft juices and beer. Heating mechanisms are not needed to transport food products. Burners are installed to heat the bitumen.

Oil tankers

A NefAZ fuel semi-trailer transports petroleum products. It is equipped with a “neck” for pumping liquid and has “breathing” valves. They are needed to avoid the accumulation of unnecessary pressure drops. At the top there is a platform for workers.

When transporting different types of fuel, it is realistic to use the same tank. But provided that you carry light fuel with light or dark with dark. For the latter, as a rule, a set temperature and a heated thermos are required.

NefAZ offers a number of oil tankers. One of the most common is tank 96743-0000010-01. It can transport and store crude oil. The volume of the steel body is 22 cubic meters. The two-axle machine has a drum brake system. The standard equipment can be improved. The manufacturer offers installation of spare fire extinguishers, plastic canisters and boxes.

Bitumen carriers

Bitumen is specific and requires certain transportation conditions. For its successful delivery to the site, it is necessary to maintain a high temperature in the tank. When the degrees drop, the driver can turn on the heating.

To transport bitumen, NefAZ engineers produced a steel semi-trailer 96931-04. It has three Saf axes, a level indicator, and an air exhaust mechanism. After uncoupling from the tractor, the “barrel” stands on a strong support. The maximum weight of the contents is 28 thousand liters.

For transportation of light petroleum products

Diesel fuel, gasoline, and kerosene are light petroleum products. Dozens of trailers have been developed for their transportation. offers options for vehicles that differ in capacity and number of compartments in the tank truck.

NefAZ-969310.

NefAZ-969310 comes with or without a pump. The elliptical body is divided into 3 compartments. Each of the divisions has a hatch and cargo level sensors.

The total curb weight is 33 thousand 900 kilograms. Installation of fuel refueling equipment is possible.

For cargo of a smaller volume, use option 96742-03. Its maximum capacity is 26 thousand kilograms. Otherwise, the characteristics of the trailers are similar.

Trailers 969311002 and 969311003 hold 30 thousand liters. The equipment transports cargo on flat roads and has 3 compartments.

The 96894 fuel carrier with air suspension holds 33.5 cubic meters of liquid. The car is equipped with a drum brake system and has three axles. The body is made of aluminum, which significantly reduces the weight of the trailer. The height of the clutch with the tractor is 1,250 millimeters.

The tank semi-trailer, or as it is also called PPC NEFAZ 96742, is available in several versions:

• with a centrifugal pump that fills/empties a tank or pumps petroleum products from one container to another;
• universal without pump;
• with bottom loading equipment that prevents cargo from splashing and an installation that ensures the utilization of flammable liquid vapors.

The brake system is represented by two mechanisms:

• parking with a mechanical screw drive that operates on all wheels;
• two-wire working with pneumatic drive.

Manufacturers took care of emergency situations and equipped the semi-trailer with a spare parts box (with spare parts and accessories). There are also cases for fuel hoses, basic fire protection equipment and elements of lateral protection. There is a ladder and a handrail next to the hatch neck. They also didn’t forget a place to install a spare wheel; a holder is built into the model.

For additional convenience, the buyer can equip the tank with compact fuel dispensing equipment.

— control level according to GOST 9392-2009;

— mechanical stopwatch SOP-pr-2a-2-010 KT 2;

— measuring tape R10U3K;

— caliper with digital readout ShTsTs-PP-250-630.01;

— thermometer according to GOST 28498-90.

It is allowed to use verification means not specified in the list that ensure the determination of metrological characteristics with the required accuracy.

The verification mark is applied to the rivet of the fuel fill level square in the neck of the tank by impact and on the verification certificate at the place where the verifier signs.

The aluminum PPC-30 NEFAZ 96895 is designed to work with the listed tractors and meets the requirements of axial loads with a density of transported petroleum product up to 0.84 t/m3.
