On the Internet you cannot yet find reliable reviews from owners of Belarus MTZ-4522 tractors. This is not surprising, given the high specificity and even “exclusivity” of this technique. However, there is evidence from a MTZ employee who took part in pre-production tests of the Belarus MTZ-4522. They were produced directly at the plant and in the Minsk region of Belarus, in the Logoisk region, at the Ostroshitsy agricultural production company.

The tractor shows a higher speed than indicated in its technical characteristics (55.3 km/h instead of 40 km/h). After 2-3 months of work on the front axle of the pre-production MTZ-4522 tractor, the locking and all-wheel drive stopped engaging. When this bridge was replaced with a serial one from MTZ-3522, everything worked again.

The second drawback that was noted is the power of the headlights, which shine no brighter than those of the MTZ-82.1. The third drawback appeared already in December: the clutch flew on the pre-production MTZ-4522. However, the tractor safely reached its home plant using a trawl, where it was stopped for inspection and repair of the clutch.

Transmission. Hydraulic system

The transmission for the new tractor was completely developed by the Minsk Tractor Plant in-house. It is fully hydraulic (hydromechanical) and controlled electronically. This transmission provides 16 forward speeds, ranging from 3.4 to 38 km/h, as well as 8 reverse gears, ranging from 2.9 to 16 km/h.

The Bosh hydraulic attachment system on the Belarus MTZ-4522 tractor is universal, with an electro-hydraulic four-section distributor, which is controlled by a joystick. Front and rear linkages, front and rear PTOs - power take-off shafts. The load capacity on the suspension axis at the front is 5.5 tons, and at the rear - 11.5 tons.

And this is despite the fact that the power unit is equipped with an imported one (in the 2014 prototype it was a German Deutz, and in the final, production version they settled on the American Caterpillar. The MTZ-3522 also has this motor. And the Belarus MTZ-4522 hydraulic system is also imported - (Germany).

The new product of the Minsk Tractor Plant is, of course, primarily intended for large farms in Russia and Kazakhstan, who are eyeing the John Deere and similar power-equipped expensive tractors. The company also promotes it on the agricultural machinery market of South and Southeast Asia (“Belarus MTZ-4522” visited and showed at exhibitions there); It is also offered in the countries of Eastern Europe, where MTZ technology is well known and appreciated.

Price and similar models

The new station wagon, according to the manufacturer, is estimated at 200 thousand euros. If you buy a universal tractor from Russian official dealers of the plant, the price will be 12.3 million rubles.

Since the product is expensive and not popular, it can only be purchased upon order. The production time, which is announced by official representatives of the plant, is 2-3 months.
