The Cummins ISF 3.8 e4R engine, with a volume of 3.7 liters, will be offered as an option, but it is more powerful - 152 hp.

Both units operate only with a manual 5-speed gearbox. Such technical equipment has led to the fact that GAZon Next’s fuel consumption has become quite tolerable, considering that it is, after all, a medium-tonnage truck. The average diesel fuel consumption for a YaMZ engine is 13-18 liters (under different driving conditions).

The new development was named GAZon Next (C41R31) , it was created with the aim of deservedly replacing the GAZ-3308/3309 , which were popularly called “Lawn”.

The vehicle weighs 8.7 tons, which classifies Lawn Next as a medium-duty truck. The carrying capacity of the machine is 5 tons. The wheelbase volume is 4.5 meters. According to plant representatives, Lawn buyers will enjoy an upgraded front suspension, an updated five-speed gearbox with synchronizers in all gears and an improved semi-integral steering. Soft three-leaf springs, a stabilizer, a joystick for controlling the gearbox and an electronic gas pedal are installed.

The lawn will be equipped with diesel engines. Some configurations will be equipped with a domestic YaMZ-534 engine with a volume of 4.4 liters and a power of 135 horsepower. Most of the new products will be equipped with a foreign-made turbocharged Cummins ISF engine with a volume of 3.8 liters and a power of 152 horsepower. Both engines comply with Euro-4 standards.
