You can operate Krepysh with UAZ wheels and hubs, or with your own standard ones. Materials
When selecting materials, it is necessary to remember that the trailer must withstand fairly powerful loads, while remaining as lightweight as possible. Therefore, it is worth paying due attention to every nuance in advance. Be also prepared for the fact that during the manufacturing process of the trailer you will need custom parts that will have to be specially ordered.
You should not take sheet iron with a thickness of more than 1 mm - this will not affect the strength, and the structure will be unreasonably heavier. Of course, it is desirable that during operation the spare wheels of both the trailer and the SUV are identical, so the hubs are needed specifically from the UAZ vehicle. The beam to which the hubs will be attached must be made of a thick-walled pipe or channel.
In addition to the above, you will also need:
- latch bolts with locking for the opening side (it is very important here that they cannot open on their own);
- springs with travel limiters;
- rectangular profile pipe about 30 m long;
- a piece of pipe about 20 cm long (for making a stand leg).
The role of the drawbar will be played by a pipe with a wall of at least 5 mm, its length should be 2 m. For safety reasons, you need to equip the drawbar with a safety chain - in the same way as in the factory version. To make the trailer tall and make it easier to maintain the gearbox, you can use a bridge as a beam.

Suspension
The UAZ car trailer with index 8109 uses two longitudinal semi-elliptical springs, which work together with a pair of telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers.
The spring includes 9 leaves. Their ends are mounted using pins and rubber bushings. One spring has a length of 1000 millimeters with a sheet thickness of 45 millimeters.
Installation of accessories
