Specifications

A special feature of the frame design is its variable cross-section along the length of the vehicle. Where the engine is installed, the side members are set at a distance of 950 mm; at the rear of the truck, the size decreases to 750 mm. At the front of the frame there are 2 towing forks equipped with removable kingpins. A towing hook is installed on the rear cross member of the frame.

The dump truck is equipped with a diesel V-shaped 6-cylinder engine YaMZ 7601-10 with a turbocharger, developing a power of 300 hp. With. at 1900 rpm. The unit complies with Euro 3 emission standards. The engine is paired with a 9-speed manual gearbox YaMZ 239. The transmission is equipped with synchronizers in all forward gears and a planetary gearbox in the range. Torque is transmitted from the engine using a 1-disc dry clutch.

The front axle is a forged I-beam mounted on semi-elliptical multi-leaf springs. To improve performance characteristics, hydraulic shock absorbers operating on compression and rebound are used. Additionally, a torsion bar anti-roll bar is installed. The rear bogie is equipped with a balancing suspension with reaction bars. There is a torsion stabilizer on the outer bridge.

Technical characteristics and dimensions of the car:

  • permissible load - 20000 kg;

  • height when tilting the cab - 3836 mm;
  • ground clearance - 330 mm.

The brakes are equipped with a 2-circuit pneumatic drive, and an anti-lock braking system is standard equipment. The air pressure in the lines is controlled using a pressure gauge installed on the instrument panel. An auxiliary compression brake flap is installed in the exhaust gas exhaust duct.

The hydraulic drive of the body is powered by an NSh 50 gear pump. To operate the pump, a 1-speed power take-off gearbox mounted on the gearbox housing is used. The extraction connection is made by a remote pneumatic drive. The dump truck is equipped with a folding tailgate. Inside there are channels for supplying exhaust gases, which prevent the cargo from freezing in winter.

The cabin is equipped with a manually operated hydraulic tilting mechanism. In extreme positions, the unit is fixed with hydraulic locks. The cabin is equipped with a spring suspension with additional shock absorbers and a stabilizer that reduces lateral rocking.

Exterior and interior

Unlike its predecessor, the Ural-44202-3511 truck tractor, the new model has a cabin without a hood, which is typical for this brand. The power plant is located in the cabin under a plastic casing. The cab is equipped with a powerful all-metal bumper, rigidly fixed to the frame. In addition to performing its direct task - taking impacts in a collision, the bumper plays the role of a stand for the driver when he needs to service the hood, optics and windshield.

The Ural-6370 tractor is equipped with a spacious interior, in which there are two sprung seats. The instrument panel is made in a semicircular shape, which makes it easier to view and operate. The speedometer, tachograph and other sensors provide the driver with complete information about the condition of components and mechanisms.

Behind the seats there is a sleeping place for the second driver to rest during long hauls. The cabin is installed on springs, dampening vibrations when driving over rough terrain.

The first IVECO brand dump trucks were manufactured in Miass when the idea of creating

The IVECO-UralAZ joint venture, today known as IVECO-AMT, was still at the discussion stage. In accordance with the licensing agreement signed in April 1992, the assembly of IVECO Magirus, the heirs of those same “BAM” hooded dump trucks Magirus 256D, which were massively supplied to the Soviet Union in the 1970s, began from components received from the IVECO company in one of the workshops of the Ural Automobile Plant. All-wheel drive vehicle with a gross weight of 33.5 tons with an air-cooled diesel engine KHD-BF8L513 V8 with a power of 306 hp. (working volume – 12763 cm3) and a 16-speed ZF gearbox received the designation “IVECO-UralAZ 330.30 ANW”. Wheelbase – 4000+1380 mm; load capacity – 18500 kg; speed – 85 km/h; rear dump body with a capacity of 12 m3. The car was of arctic design and was intended for operation at temperatures down to -55°C.

The first batch of one and a half dozen such dump trucks was manufactured by the Ural Automobile Plant in January 1993 - they went to work in the Tyumen region. Then, during the same year, 30 dump trucks were purchased by Lukoil, and another 40 by YUKOS.

It was not possible to conclude other significant contracts - even being cheaper than German analogues by about 20%, with a price of almost 100 thousand dollars, there was virtually no demand for such expensive equipment from Russian customers. That’s when it was decided, in order to reduce the cost of production, to partially localize the production of cars in Russia, organizing a joint venture for this purpose and transferring to it the equipment for producing cabins.

The agreement on the creation of the IVECO-UralAZ joint venture was signed on April 18, 1994, and its official registration took place on December 5, 1994 - this date has since been considered the birthday of the enterprise. The founders included UralAZ, IVECO SpA and Gazprom with equal shares of 33.3%. At the same time, each of them solved their own problem.

The Ural Automobile Plant received welding and painting lines, as well as stamping equipment

for the production of a completely modern cabover cab IVECO Turbostar at that time,

which he intended to use, including in the production of his own cargo

cars. IVECO expected to take a reliable position in an area that had not yet been developed

At that time, Western automakers entered the Russian heavy commercial market

vehicles and found a buyer in Gazprom for a significant amount of its

cars Gazprom itself, according to the stories of the participants in those events, which turned out to be the only one in this trio that contributed real money to the authorized capital, saw the opportunity to purchase modern dump trucks of the European level at a very reasonable price. In addition, part of the payment for them returned to him as a co-founder.

While the equipment was being supplied and prepared for operation, from 1994 to 1998 the joint venture took over the production of IVECO-UralAZ 330.30 ANW, and in 1997 the car changed its index to Ural-IVECO-5531-110 (body and tires made in Russia) . The car was produced in small quantities as orders were received. On its basis, the 55311 truck tractor and a long-wheelbase 6x4 or 6x6 truck with a flatbed were created. In the timber carrier version, the vehicle has folding bunks and a hydraulic crane. As part of a road train with a gross weight of 60 tons with a 3-axle trailer, it is designed to transport up to 40 tons of logs. According to some data, the last 20 cars were manufactured in 2001.

Already at the stage of concluding an agreement on the creation of a joint venture, it became clear that instead of IVECO Magirus in Miass it would be necessary to organize the production of another, more modern model. The fact is that IVECO was completing the production of hooded trucks - they were replaced by the more modern Trakker with a cab over the engine. Therefore, almost immediately after the establishment of the joint venture, Russian and Italian designers began creating a family of trucks designed specifically for it. They were called "UralTrakker". The UralTrakker was based on the modern chassis of the then newly appeared IVECO Trakker, on which the IVECO Turbostar / TurboTech cabin was installed, that is, the cabin of trucks of the previous generation, which had recently been discontinued in Europe.
