Domestic off-road tractors differ from many Western analogues in driving characteristics, power and capabilities, but at the same time they are inferior in terms of comfort. KamAZ 4310 remained a priority model for the Kama Automobile Plant for a long time. It should be noted that the KamAZ-4310 was used for some time as a truck tractor - it was on such vehicles that a sleeping bag was installed. It is impossible not to mention the sports version of the KamAZ-S4310, which was created specifically for rally racing; the car participated several times in the Paris-Dakar rally. For some time, a modification called “Typhoon” was produced in small-scale batches. The vehicle is distinguished by the presence of an armored module and is intended for transporting special forces personnel.

Structurally, the KamAZ-4310 is a frame truck with a front-mounted cabover all-metal cab and a 6*6 wheel arrangement. Most military vehicles were equipped with a mechanical drum-type winch, the force to which was transmitted from the power take-off.

The KamAZ-4310 cab looks standard for trucks from the Kama plant produced in the 1980s and 1990s. The cabin is equipped with three air-suspended seats (the driver's seat is adjustable for back angle, weight and distance to the steering column), a berth is available only as an option. Cabin

If we take the technical condition, then for the 80s this KamAZ all-terrain vehicle was the most excellent cargo SUV, which could overcome large obstacles, and was not afraid of steep ascents and descents, it could almost “swim” fords, the depth of which reached 1.5 meters. Serial production of this model began in January 1981, just before the 26th Congress of the Communist Party.

The name itself shows that the truck was produced at the facilities of KamAZ (Naberezhnye Chelny). But few people know that, in fact, the KamAZ-4310 has Moscow roots and was developed by the design staff of the ZIL association. The car is equipped with an engine of 360 horsepower with a displacement of 11.76 liters. The eight-cylinder overhead valve four-stroke engine with turbocharging and intercooling of charge air complies with the Euro-2 standard. New modifications are equipped with a Euro-3 standard engine.

Suspension

Although crane installations are manufactured on various chassis brands of trucks, a military vehicle equipped with a crane requires a base that meets the following requirements:
