The KS-55713 truck crane was developed by the Galich Truck Crane Plant and produced in 1988. Vehicles such as KamAZ, KrAZ, and Urals are used as a platform. Special equipment is assembled at various factories in the post-Soviet space. You can count about two dozen modifications of this model of jib crane. The article will discuss the technical characteristics of the KS-55713 crane and its modifications.

This piece of special equipment is one of a kind, as it has technical characteristics unique to a truck crane. It is capable of manipulating a load of up to 25 tons in a closed circle around its axis. The unit is equipped with supports that allow you to work in small areas without having to pull out the beams.

The crane installation is driven by an axial piston hydraulic pump, which is driven by the engine of the base vehicle through a gearbox and an additional power take-off. The crane mechanisms have an individual drive with independent control from hydraulic motors and hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic system allows you to control crane mechanisms with a wide range of speed control and the ability to simultaneously combine any crane operations.

Safe operation of the crane is ensured by a complex of instruments and devices, including a safety device with digital indication of operating parameters on the display in the crane operator’s cabin, which includes a built-in device for recording characteristics - a “black box” and a module for protecting the crane from dangerous voltage MZON for working near lines power transmission The safety device automatically protects the crane from overload and capsizing, and is equipped with a coordinate protection system necessary for working in cramped working conditions near power lines.

Crane characteristics

Two piston hydraulic pumps perform the drive function. They operate from the main power unit. Two mechanical gearboxes of the car are involved in transmitting torque. The crane mechanisms are based on an independent drive consisting of hydraulic motors and hydraulic cylinders.


Truck crane KS-55713-1K

Using hydraulics, you can gently control the units at the maximum speeds for the unit and regulate the actions performed. Thanks to this, you can move several loads at once. The presence of a prefabricated three-section boom gives the advantage of operating the indicator in a limited space, but at the same time provides the width of the working area.

The KS-55713 truck crane has shooting equipment. It is represented in single file. A mechanism for extending this element is hidden in the cavity of the element. Combining head blocks with a hook suspension allows you to create a copy plate that has 8, 6 and single types.

The maximum lifting weight for this type of special equipment is 25 tons. This result is achieved when using a 3.2-meter boom reach. The maximum lifting height of the load on the hook when using the main boom reaches 21.6 meters. If you add a jib that is seven and a half meters long, the load can be lifted to a height of 29.3 meters.

Extending and retracting the booms is only permitted when working with a load not exceeding 6 tons. The speed of raising and lowering the maximum load is 8.7 cm/sec. When working with a load of up to 4500 kg, you can increase the speed to 18 cm/sec. The rotation speed of the turning part is 02 - 0.96 revolutions per minute.

Modifications KS-55713 Wedges with 24 m boom

Models KS-55713-1K-2, KS-55713-3K-2, KS-55713-5K-2, KS-55713-6K-2 have a three-section telescopic boom 10-24 m long and are additionally equipped with a lattice jib 7.5 long m with the possibility of installation at an angle of 0° and 30°. For the convenience of working in cramped conditions, an operating mode with the outrigger beams retracted is provided.

Modifications KS-55713 Wedges with 31 m boom

Models KS-55713-1K-4V, KS-55713-3K-4V, KS-55713-4K-4V, KS-55713-5K-4V, KS-55713-6K-4V, KS-55713-12K-4V have a telescopic boom with a length of 32.5 m of “Ovoid” section and are additionally equipped with a lattice jib 9 m long with the possibility of installation at an angle of 0°, 20° and 40°. Truck cranes are equipped with two counterweights of 1 ton and 1.5 tons, carried as part of the crane, and one separately transportable counterweight of 4.5 tons, which makes it possible to bring the load-altitude characteristics on long flights closer to truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 32 tons.

Purpose of the KS-55713-1K-3 truck crane

The KS-55713-1K Klintsy jib crane with a lifting capacity of 25 tons on the chassis of a Kamaz-65115-62 truck is used to perform loading and unloading, construction and installation operations in industry, construction, agriculture and other industries (work with simple loads).

The KS-55713-1K-3 truck crane is designed for operation at an ambient temperature of ±40°C and a relative humidity of 80% at +20°C and storage at an ambient temperature of at least -50°C.

Transport movement of the KS-55713-1K-3 truck crane between work sites is recommended on hard-surface roads that allow an axial load of at least 10 t.

Installation of the Klintsy truck crane is possible on a prepared site with dimensions of 6.0x6.5 m and a slope of no more than 3°. The permissible wind speed for the operating position of the crane should not be more than 14 m/s at a height of 10 m, for the non-operating state - 3-40 m/s.

Composition and structure of the KS-55713 truck crane

The KS-55713-1K-3 Klintsy truck crane with a lifting capacity of 25 tons based on the Kamaz-65115 chassis (Fig. 1) consists of load-bearing welded metal structures, mechanical and hydraulic units (assemblies), which are structurally combined into three main parts: the fixed part of the crane 1; rotary part of the crane 2; working equipment 3.

The non-rotating part of the KS-55713 truck crane includes: KamAZ-65115-62 chassis, support frame with retractable supports, swivel support, boom support stand, cladding, pump drive, pneumatic equipment, control of retractable supports, hydraulic tank, spare wheel mounting bracket 1.

The rotating part of the truck crane is attached to the rotating support. It consists of: a rotating frame, a cargo winch, a turning mechanism, a cabin, a heater, crane control drives, engine control, and a casing.

The working equipment of the KS-55713-1K-3 Klintsy 25t truck crane based on KamAZ-65115 consists of a three-section telescopic boom, mechanisms for lifting and extending the boom section, a cargo rope and a main hook suspension for 8 and 6 fold reeving.

In order to increase the lifting height and under-jib space, the crane design provides the possibility of installing a 7.5 m long jib on a telescopic boom.

In this case, the reeving of the cargo rope must be one-time, and the main hook suspension must be replaced with an additional hook suspension.

Changing the angle of inclination of the telescopic boom of the crane is carried out by a mechanism for changing the reach, and the extension of sections is carried out by a mechanism for extending the boom. The telescopic boom is attached to the racks of the rotating frame using an axle.

The cargo rope is fixed to the winch drum. The mechanisms and hydraulic equipment located on the rotating frame are covered with a casing.

The load-handling device on the KS-55713-1K Klintsy truck crane with a lifting capacity of 25 tons on the Kamaz-65115 truck chassis is a hook suspension. Raising and lowering the load is carried out by a lifting mechanism.

The connection between the rotating part of the crane and the non-rotating part is carried out by a rotating support (slewing support). The rotation of the rotating part of the crane is carried out by a turning mechanism.

The telescopic boom allows the KS-55713 truck crane in the transport position to have speeds and maneuverability close to the base KamAZ-65115-62 chassis. Elements of hydraulic equipment and electrical equipment are located on the fixed and rotating parts of the crane and on the working equipment.

The truck crane is equipped with safety devices. To monitor the condition of the crane and its components, as well as to control the crane, instrumentation and controls are used (Fig. 2).

The controls for the crane's actuators are located in the crane operator's cabin.

The speed of crane operations depends on the position of the actuator control handles: the further the handles are deviated from the neutral position, the higher the speed of a particular operation.

The hydraulic circuit of the Klintsy 25t truck crane based on KamAZ-65115 also provides for the possibility of obtaining increased speeds of cargo movement.

Operation of the KS-55713 truck crane

All crane mechanisms operate from the chassis engine. The power taken from the engine through the pump drive through the working fluid of the hydraulic system is transmitted to the actuators and hydraulic cylinders of the crane through ballasts.

— raising and lowering the telescopic boom;

— turning the rotating part of the crane;

— lifting and lowering the load with a winch;

Using the crane operations control drive, the chassis engine control drive and the hydraulic equipment ballasts, you can regulate the speeds of the mechanisms performing basic crane operations.

It is possible to combine any two crane operations with loads equal to 50-60% of the rated load capacity for a given load characteristic.
