Medium-tonnage trucks under the DAF brand were used for regional European transport. After modifications to the cabin, chassis and transmission in the first years of the 21st century, the DAF CF entered the international circuit.

- increased capacity (the so-called Space Cab), it is equipped with two berths thanks to an increase in cabin height to 2.23 meters.
All three cabin models had one requirement: that they remain relatively small in size. This is a common design feature of all DAF machines.
Each part, while maintaining full functionality, must be smaller in size and weight. To achieve these goals, DAF uses the best steels and composite materials with the highest strength.
As a result, the units on these machines are lighter than their counterparts on other car models, which improves driving and maneuverability and allows for increased load capacity.
Depending on the configuration of the axles, the number of chassis axles and wheelbase, medium-tonnage DAF vehicles can be used in different fields of activity.
Vans and container trucks, garbage trucks and fire trucks are used for intra-city transportation by commercial firms and municipal services.
