Advantages and disadvantages of the Amkodor 333B (TO-18B3) front loader

The cabin of the Amkodor 333V (TO-18B3) front loader is spacious, with large windows giving the operator a good viewing area. Entry into the cabin from any side of the loader is very convenient - the stairs are equipped with handrails, and their lower steps do not require lifting your legs “above your head” during landing. Open doors are secured with a special lock, and in order to close the doors you need to open this lock by pressing the safety handle on the inside panel of the door. Construction sites are not smooth highways, and such a device does not allow open doors to slam like a fan on uneven surfaces. The operator's seat has air suspension and is adjustable in two planes, but the cabin itself is fixed very rigidly and has no shock absorption. All controls are accessible, you don’t need to reach for them, using a lot of physical strength, and be distracted from the “object of labor.” Of course, the Amkodor-333B front loader cannot be compared with similar JCB or Hitachi models, but, nevertheless, the floor of its cabin is covered with artificial felt.

In general, I would like to note that Amkodor specialists take care of the operator’s workplace. Air conditioning, a stereo radio and a dining table with a cup holder (as in the cars of the mentioned foreign companies), of course, cannot be found in the cabin of a Belarusian front loader, but good heating in winter and excellent ventilation in summer are provided. There is also a hammer for breaking glass in an emergency. The exterior mirrors are electrically heated, but adjusting them is inconvenient: they are located far away from the cabin.

The engine compartment does not contain anything innovative for one simple reason - everything is fine there. The engine and two hydraulic pumps can be accessed from any side of the machine. If on the sides minor or aggregate repairs are carried out through hatches while standing on the ground, then when repairing the engine from above, the wings of the rear wheels serve as support for the mechanic. Very comfortably. The same advantage can be noted in the location of the filler necks of all hydraulic systems.

Amkodor front loaders are mostly equipped with Minsk diesel engines. The 333V is equipped with a D-260.2 engine with a power of 95 kW (130 hp). These power units are a six-cylinder version of the engines from the Belarus tractor, which have long been known at many enterprises with a fleet of construction equipment, have been studied and mastered by their repairmen and are well supplied with spare parts.

In operation, Amkodor-333V is quite reliable. Like most front loaders in its class, it has an articulated frame and hydraulic steering with hydraulic feedback, and for added reliability there is a wheel-driven emergency pump.

The bucket rotation mechanism is Z-shaped. Almost all lifting joints are equipped with grease fittings, and the injection of fresh lubricant must be carried out in strict accordance with maintenance requirements. The double-jaw bucket holds 1.9 m 3 of soil.

In general, whatever you say, it’s ours, a domestic car, although it is produced in the Republic of Belarus. The numerous presence of this equipment in Russian construction organizations indicates the popularity of Amkodors, but does not mean that the machine has no shortcomings. Almost all hoses are not protected by anything. This is dangerous at a construction site: any object that gets, say, between the cabin and the frame of a front-end loader threatens to leave it without hydraulic systems or even steering control. The joints of the lifting mechanism are not protected from dust and dirt. At least some anthers. After all, fine construction dust in the hinge becomes an abrasive.

The hydraulic tank TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 is equipped with a drain nipple VN, a drain filter F1 with an overflow valve and a filter clogging indicator RD, a filling neck RDB, which has a built-in breather filter, a pressure regulator in the hydraulic tank and a filling strainer. The loading equipment circuit consists of a pump HI, a 2-section hydraulic distributor P1 with direct hydraulic control, a hydraulic cylinder for the bucket TsZ and two hydraulic cylinders Ts4 and Ts5 for the boom. Pump HI supplies working fluid from hydraulic tank B to hydraulic distributor P1. A safety valve is installed at the inlet to the hydraulic distributor, limiting the pressure in the circuit and adjusted to a pressure of 20 MPa (200 kgf/cm2). The P1 hydraulic valve spools are powered in a parallel circuit. The first valve spool of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 hydraulic distributor has three positions: “Bucket holding” (neutral position), “Bucket tilting”, “Bucket unloading” and controls the hydraulic cylinder of the central locking bucket. To protect the rod cavity of the bucket hydraulic cylinder from overload, a safety valve with a setting pressure of 15 MPa (150 kgf/cm2) with a check valve is installed in the hydraulic distributor. To protect the piston cavity of the bucket hydraulic cylinder, a safety valve with a setting pressure of 25 MPa with a check valve is installed. Check valves serve to prevent the formation of vacuum in the cavities of the hydraulic cylinder of the central locking bucket. The second valve spool P1 controls the hydraulic cylinders of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 boom and has four positions: “Boom holding” (neutral position), “Boom raising”, “Boom lowering” and “Boom floating”. The floating boom position is fixed. Fixation occurs due to a mechanical lock built into the control unit. To prevent the formation of vacuum in the cavities of hydraulic cylinders Ts4 and Ts5, two check valves are installed on this working section. To limit the speed of lowering the boom, a DR throttle with a check valve is installed in the hydraulic distributor line P1, the piston cavity of the boom hydraulic cylinders Ts4 and Ts5. The control circuit for the hydraulic distributor of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 loader consists of a valve block with a pneumatic hydraulic accumulator BC and one control unit BU. The valve block with pneumatic-hydraulic accumulator BC is powered from the loading equipment and steering circuits. Through the “OR” valve and a pressure reducing valve set to a pressure of 3.0 - 3.5 MPa (30 - 35 kgf/cm2), the pneumatic-hydraulic accumulator is charged. From the pneumatic-hydraulic accumulator, working fluid under pressure is supplied to the control unit. In an emergency situation, when the diesel engine has stalled and the loading equipment is in the raised position, the supply of working fluid in the pneumatic-hydraulic accumulator of the BC valve block is sufficient for 3-4 activations of the spool, which allows the loading equipment to be lowered. The control unit BU TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 has four working outlets, which are connected to the corresponding control channels for the hydraulic valve spools P1. The control pressure in its working outlets is directly proportional to the angle of inclination of the control unit lever. The greater the inclination, the greater the control pressure. In turn, the movement of the corresponding hydraulic valve spool and, consequently, the flow of working fluid passed into the working lines is proportional to the control pressure supplied to it from the control unit. The greater the control pressure, the greater the movement of the spool, the greater the fluid flow. At the same time, part of the unused liquid, since the pump has a constant performance, is drained into the overflow channel of the hydraulic distributor. In this way, the speed of movement of the working bodies is regulated. When the spool stroke is 70% of the maximum, the overflow channel is completely closed, and the full pump flow enters the working line. The control pressure of the control unit and the stroke of the hydraulic valve spool of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 loader are selected in such a way that at a control pressure of 2.0 - 2.2 MPa (20 - 22 kgf/cm2) the spool switches completely. When the control pressure is removed, the spool is moved to the neutral position by centering springs. In the basic version of the TO-18 loader (Amkodor 333) it is equipped with a BU control unit with one control lever, which is fixed in only one position - “Floating boom”; as an option, a control unit with 2 control levers can be used, which are fixed in the extreme provisions. In the basic version, the loaders are equipped with a valve block BC with a pneumatic-hydraulic accumulator, the schematic diagram of which is shown in Figure 29. By special order, a valve block of type HC-SE2 is installed, which provides for blocking the power supply circuit of the BU control unit. The schematic diagram is shown in Figure 30. Fig. 29. — Schematic diagram of the valve block of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 loader. Fig. 30 — Schematic diagram of the valve block of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 loader with locking. The locking is activated by an electric switch installed on the control unit stand. When the lock is turned on, moving the lever of the control unit does not cause movement of the working element. This provides protection against accidental activation of work equipment when moving with a load or in traffic. The steering circuit of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 loader (Fig. 1) consists of: pump H2, safety valve KP, priority valve KPR, metering pump GR, check valves KOl, K02, emergency pump GM, pressure filter F2, steering hydraulic cylinders Ts1 and Ts2, pressure sensor DD. Pump H2 supplies working fluid from hydraulic tank B through check valve KOl, main filter F2, priority valve KPR to the metering pump GR and at the same time to the hydraulic distributor P1 of the loading equipment. If the steering wheel, which drives the shaft of the GR metering pump, does not rotate, then the total flow of the HI and H2 pumps is supplied to the hydraulic system of the loading equipment. When the steering wheel rotates, priority in the distribution of the flow of working fluid is given to the GR metering pump. The supply of working fluid to the TO-18/TO-18B metering pump Amkodor 333 depends on the speed of rotation of the steering wheel. If the steering wheel rotates very quickly, the CPR priority valve can direct the entire flow of the H2 pump to the GR metering pump. When the steering wheel rotates, the GR metering pump supplies working fluid to the corresponding cavities of the hydraulic cylinders C1 and C2, which rotate the articulated front and rear semi-frames, and the GR metering pump supplies a strictly defined amount of working fluid for 1 revolution of the steering wheel. A safety valve is built into the KPR priority valve, which limits the pressure in the steering circuit to 17.5 MPa (175 kgf/cm2). The GR metering pump has built-in reactive valves set to 23 MPa (230 kgf/cm2). The valves are designed to protect the locked cavities of the steering hydraulic cylinders of TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 loaders from reactive loads. A safety valve KP is flanged to the H2 pump, which is set to a pressure of 21.5 MPa (215 kgf/cm2). The valve is designed to protect the line pump H2 - filter F2 - priority valve KPR. In the event of a failure of the H2 pump or towing a vehicle with a non-working diesel engine, when there is no flow of working fluid in the pressure line of the H2 pump, the DD pressure sensor, set to a pressure of 0.25 MPa, is triggered, and a warning light lights up on the control panel in the cab. In this case, the GM emergency pump installed on the gearbox sucks in working fluid from tank B through check valve K02 and supplies it to the hydraulic system to filter F2 and then to the steering circuit. The emergency steering system TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 works only when the loader is moving (towing) forward.

The effectiveness of the emergency steering system in operation can be tested as follows: when the vehicle is moving with the diesel engine turned off or in tow at a speed of 16 + 2 km/h, the tracks of its wheels should not extend beyond the boundary of a straight test corridor 100 m long, the width of which is 1.25 times greater width of the loader over the tires. It is possible to correct the course using the steering. Operation of the hydraulic system of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 loader The working fluid of the hydraulic systems of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 loader, refilled into the tank, must be clean. Cleanliness class of the working fluid is 12 according to GOST 17216. The level of the working fluid in the tank should be maximum.

With each new refill of the tank, after pre-filling it, work through all the components of the hydraulic systems to fill them with working fluid, and then add it to the hydraulic tank. Do not allow hydraulic systems to operate with the level of working fluid in the tank below 0.75 of its volume. This worsens the temperature conditions of the systems and creates the preconditions for foaming and aging of the working fluid. As a result, the service life of hydraulic system components is reduced. Protect the hydraulic systems of the TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 loader from air ingress, as this interferes with stable operation. Promptly tighten all connecting elements and replace filter elements in linear filters. Use working fluids and their substitutes specified in the Manual. The hydraulic distributor should be kept clean, damage and corrosion of the metal on the rods should be prevented, and worn seals should be replaced in a timely manner. The activation of the safety valve of the hydraulic distributor TO-18/TO-18B Amkodor 333 is adjusted at the factory, so it is prohibited to adjust it unless absolutely necessary.

Before proceeding with the adjustment, it is necessary to find out exactly the reason for the change in pressure in the hydraulic system. This can happen if the hydraulic system is clogged or if the pump is faulty or worn out. The steering circuit must be equipped with hoses with a burst pressure of at least 70 MPa (700 kgf/cm2). The replacement period for hoses is 3 years or 4000 operating hours. If ruptures, leakage of liquid in the form of drops, local swelling, shifting of tips and other signs of failure appear on the bends of high-pressure hoses (HPS) and in the places where the tips are attached, the HPS must be replaced.
